Web Site Design by Nick Anthony Fiorenza
Web Site Design

If you would like a web site design that is simple, clean, yet elegant, and one easy to navigate without diversionary clutter, I can help. My current coding technique (the detailed html language behind what you see) meets the latest World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) design specifications (both html and css specs). The icons at the bottom of this web page indicate the coding used here was tested to meet those specs with zero errors. What this means to you is that you are getting a well-designed site, optimized for search engine compatibility (easier for people to find you), as well as coding that can be easily upgraded by other web designers, should you require one in the future. (One of the things a web designer hates the most is to upgrade someone else's coding that is a mess to figure out, and there is plenty of that out there.) I use Flash only on rare occasion for slide-like presentations. Flash is often used by navis designers who are enthusiastic to make flashing looking sites. However, the coding to create Flash content is invisible to most search engines, thus cluttering the overall web page code which decreases search engine ratings. You will find that more seasoned designers use clean and simple code--unless they are producing a site for someone who is deliberately headlining state-of-the-art animated web and video presentations.

Although the cost to develop a web site varies greatly depending on web site size, complexity, and optional features, the estimates below will give you an idea of the range of prices. All sites are custom designed considering the style and color preferences you would like, and with the text and images you provide.

For the local Sedona Arizona business: Photography services are available to capture the essence of your business, whether it is a restaurant, boutique, or any other shop, retail or business complex. I will work with you to create the content (text and photos) ideal for your web site.

Web Site Maintainance and Updates

The small buisness Web Site often requires promt and reliable updates due to continually changing invenory, specials, current events, or new services. A dynamic site (one with new content continually added) is one of the key ways to keep your visitors returning to see what is new. It is also a significant factor to maintain good search engine placement. My services include web site maintainance on either a fee basis or monthly retainer to ensure your site stays current with your evolving business needs.

Web Site design Includes domain name (URL) registration (if required), publishing the site on an appropriate Internet Service Provider (ISP), search engine optimization, and submission of your site to Google Search Engine, Yahoo Search, MSN, and The Open Directory Project.**

You should also consider the cost of URL registration and web site hosting with an ISP in addition to the web site design cost. Although minimal, these costs range from $7 to $20 / month.

**The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. Due to the staggering growth-rate of the Internet, automated search engines are increasingly unable to turn up useful results to search queries. The Open Directory provides a solution to this problem. Open Directory is not a Search Engine, but a directory listing hand-selected Web Sites that other search engines use, including Netscape Search, AOL Search, Google, Yahho Search, Lycos, HotBot, DirectHit, and hundreds of others.

About 78% of search queries are made through Google and Yahoo. Both are also "search providers" powering many other search engines.
