A dynamic timeline of planetary alignments, including Uranus, Saturn, Makemake, Juno, Jupiter and Pluto, occurs from mid-2008 through 2011.
As we explore this timeline, we will see a progression of planetary alignments that start with a dramatic challenge but that will eventually lead to a beneficial and radically expansive change in our lives and in our world.
There are two primary shifts in this timeline and many others. One occurs in September 2009; the other in September 2010. The First I term "The Turning": and the second I term "The Mobilization of Change."
As most people are aware, 2009 has produced a rather intense and uncertain time, with many changes continuing to occur in our lives and in our global economy since this timeline started in 2008. 2009 will complete with a catalytic planetary configuration creating many changes in relationships and partnerships of all types, and propel us into another very dynamic and intense year. 2010 will herald a powerful opening catalyzed by Pluto as it takes a prominent role in this timeline. Jupiter will then mobilize and expand upon the radical changes upon us as it allies with Uranus and opposes Makemake and Saturn, ultimately to produce a beneficent emergence from a tremendous transition in human consciousness and in our global economic paradigm in 2011.
We are exploring long term planetary cycles in this article and transitions within those cycles, and I often discuss "Synodic Cycles."
About Synodic Cycles
Synodic cycles are created when two (or more) planets align in their orbits around the Sun. The synodic cycle theme, defined by the planets involved and the star alignments at the time, will unfold until the two planets align again, marking the completion of the synodic cycle and the beginning of the next one.
There are many synodic cycles with unique astrological themes occurring simultaneously creating a harmonic symphony of creative unfoldment in consciousness. Synodic cycles can be thought of as longer-term underlying currents, much like the backdrop chorus of a symphony, providing the underlying astrological context guiding our evolution.
Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh), a newly discovered planet, along with Uranus, kicked off this cycle in mid-2008. The Makemake-Uranus opposition occurring from mid-2008 through January 2011 is the longer term and underlying planetary alignment sustaining in this timeline. It seems clear that Makemake has a significant influence in global economics.
Saturn and Uranus create five oppositions occurring from November 4, 2008 through July 26, 2010, and these surround the mid-point of revelation in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle occurring in September 2009.
Juno, the asteroid of covenant relations and mutual equality, joins Uranus in the latter half of 2009 through early 2010, catalyzing radical change for personal relationships as well as partnerships of all sorts--those of business and politics. The Juno-Uranus alignment culminates on Dec 31, 2009 through January 1, 2010 with a dynamic T-square involving Saturn and Pluto. This 2009 finale propels us from the intensity of 2009 into the power house of 2010.
A new and potent dynamic starts to build as Pluto enters the picture on November 15, 2009 when it starts its square with Saturn, and then with Jupiter. Majestic and expansive Jupiter allies with Uranus from mid-2010 through early 2011, mobilizing and expanding the radical change that is well underway--now to turn the tides in a beneficial way. Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn create a catalyzing and potent T-square that starts to form in late July 2010 and culminates when it fires from August 16-21, 2010. This propels us forth as if being shot through a stretch in the fabric of space and time. September 2010 through January brings us an extended alignment with Uranus and Makemake, one similar to that which started all of this in 2008; except now and with the primary influence of Jupiter, we will find ourselves perched upon an entirely new and far more expansive plane of participation.

Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh) clearly plays a principal role in the Saturn-Uranus Opposition. In fact, after exploring Makemake's aspects with Saturn, Uranus, Juno and Jupiter occurring from mid-2008 through January 2011, it became clear that Makemake has a very significant role in the global financial crisis as well as with its transition that started to avalanche in mid-2008.
Uranus and Makemake enter into an opposition that lasts from mid-2008 through January 2011. This opposition is of extreme significance not only because it underwrites this entire timeline, but also because it lends tremendous insight into that which is occurring with the "global economic paradigm." The first mid-2008 conjunction might be thought of as the back stage preparation for the dramatics to follow. This first conjunction, centering in June 2008, occurs as both Uranus and Makemake station, and due to this, their exact aspect sustains itself for several weeks and remains in a tight orb for about three months in mid-2008.

Snapshot of the timeline showing the Uranus-Makemake extended opposition in 2008. Makemake & Uranus both station in exact opposition for weeks. They continue to weave their opposition through January 2011.
Uranus and Makemake maintained their opposition within a 1° orb from most of May through July; a 2° orb from mid-April through most of August; and a 3° orb from the beginning of April through the first week of September 2008, at which time a catalyzing and extended Mercury-Venus-Mars conjunction occurred triggering a Jupiter-Saturn aspect and the Full Moon Uranus Synod of September 12-13, 2008 (shown in the graphic ephemeris to the right). This led to the Mercury sation-Mars conjunction opposite Eris and "The Great Deception of September 25, 2008." (presented below)
I do not at all see that Makemake has an adverse astrological role, on the contrary due to the exploration of Makemake's orbital parameters.(See an in-depth exploration of Makemake.) Makemake brings our attention more to how financial resources are administered, with a force to re-define that administration in the greater interest of all life on Earth. It seems clear that the aspects occurring with Makemake throughout this 2008-1011 timeline play a tremendous role in what has been a long pending need for a restructuring of our economic paradigm.
A few summations about Makemake:
Makemake's Myth
- Finding the Golden Egg: Demonstrating prowess and worthiness for leadership and the ability to provide and ensure physical nourishment for the people.
Makemake's Discovery
- interceding in the dramatic, manipulative and diversionary antics of old-paradigm world politics and big-business.
Makemake's Role (Aphelion-Perihelion)
- economics, finance and money
- leadership as protector and provider for the people
- heeding the signs of the times and that of the natural world
- creating environmental conditions supportive of a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for all souls.
Makemake's inspiration for Action (Makemake Nodes)
- surrendering lower-order ego-drivin motives and standing in the wisdom gained from the sting of past experience
- strategic planning and enterprising action based from this wisdom.
Uranus of course stimulates our need to break from the conforming bounds of the past, and inspires new thought and discovery--expanding from Saturn's realm of the established past. Uranus is of higher mind, illumination, spontaneity, and brings radical and unexpected change.
Oppositions are much like a relationship between two people. It helps to think of the unique energetic or dance occurring between the two, rather than just single elements alone. Although oppositions raise questions and can create uncertainly and even contention, they provide perspective and stimulate our growth if we embrace the two polarities and express a greater unified awareness the mutual experience offers. Think of learning to dance with a partner--how majestic can the expression be? The more we are willing to merge the two elements the greater the revelation and rapture. Oppositions are actually the mid-point of vision and realization in the synodic cycle created by Earth and another planet.
After this rather extraordinary Uranus-Makemake planetary resonance kicking things off in 2008, Uranus and Makemake weave their opposition through January of 2011, making five additional exact oppositions. Makemake not only dances with Uranus throughout this several-year period, but also with all of the other planets involved in this timeline.
This few-year series of Uranus-Makemake oppositions center around the actual heliocentric Uranus-Makemake opposition which occurs on December 10, 2009. The heliocentric opposition stretches for such a long period from a geocentric view because of Makemake's very slow movement. This event marks the midpoint of Vision and Realization in the very-long 54.5-year cycle that began around July 1, 1955. The Uranus-Makemake synod occurred in early sidereal Cancer, which set the the theme for this synodic cycle. Exploring the economic structure, condition, policy and its leadership of 1955 would be of value to gain insight in to that which is occurring now. Anyone with input can post their thoughts on the Lunar Planner Forum.
The next (geocentric) Uranus-Makemake opposition occurs on April 11, 2008, after the opening Saturn-Uranus Opposition which occurs from November 4, 2008 through February 5, 2009 (discussed below).
Snapshot of the timeline showing Makemake's aspects with Juno and its onetime conjunction with Saturn.
The first two of the five Saturn-Uranus oppositions occur on Nov 4, 2008 and February 5 2009. This produces the opening act upon the world stage and presents the Saturn-Uranus opposition issue: The new, radical, unconventional and higher-intelligence that inherently wants to break from the conformity of the past (Uranus) stands in opposition to the long-established, conventional, and stoic (Saturn).
Note that the US Presidential election occurred on November 4, 2008, on the first Saturn-Uranus opposition. From a more embracing context, consider that that which occurs on the global stage articulates or dramatizes that which is occurring in collective consciousness--in each of our very lives. This election dramatized these two facets of collective consciousness and their related issues embodied by all of humanity. Independent of who was chosen in this election, either way the same dance and transition in our world paradigm and in collective consciousness would continue to unfold, with either electorial having to embrace the entwining dance of Makemake Saturn and Uranus over the years ahead.
The third Saturn-Uranus opposition, occurring on September 15-17, 2009, marks the coincidence of several events creating the "Makemake-Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition." This event consists of a compounded planetary alignment (Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake). From the Sun's view, Earth and Uranus conjoin which marks the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. From Earth's view, the Sun Saturn and Makemake conjoin. This means that both Saturn and Makemake are exactly half-way though their respective synodic cycles with Earth. The Earth-Saturn cycle is 278 days long and the Earth-Makemake cycle is about one year long. This is the climax point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Saturn synodic cycle and the Earth-Makemake cycle. It is rather unique that not only the midpoints of these cycles coincide, but that they also coincide with the new Earth-Uranus synod. This synodic opposition thus marks a primary turning or transition in the dynamic of this nearly two-year long Saturn-Uranus series of oppositions.
In addition to the Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition, the mid-point of "vision and realization" in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle occurs when Saturn, the Sun and Uranus align. This occurs on September 2, 2009. This much longer cycle began on June 9, 1988 within a one degree orb of the "Gate of God," the primary fiducial (reference point) in the Earth's Precessional Cross; making this specific Saturn-Uranus cycle one of the most significant in world history. Consider what you were doing in 1998 and what was occurring in the world, as September 2009 should bring vision and revelation about it.
Jupiter Chiron & Neptune: Another reason why September 2009 creates a primary turning or transition is due to the start of a new Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune synodic cycle (Jupiter-Chiron Sept 4 / Jupiter-Neptune Sept 19). The Jupiter Chiron Neptune cycles are also occurring in 2009, and are quite significant. They occur 30° away from Uranus (Aquarius-Pisces cusp) on the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius. The 30° aspect (semi-sextile) provides and opportunity for growth. Harmonically, they are two energetics that want to become allied in strength. The significance of the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction and their respective new synodic cycles are not discussed in this article but are explored in the monthly Lunar Planners. The first Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction was presented the April 25, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Beneficence - The Crossing Begins." At that time Juno was conjoining Chiron and Neptune. All of this can graphically be seen on the complete 2009 Yearly Graphic Ephemeris.

The asteroid Juno's retrograde encompasses the Turning of mid-September 2009. Note in the timeline snapshot to the right that Juno aspects each of the planets involved (including Pluto) from May 2009 through Jan 1, 2010. Juno enters into to play after the second Uranus-Makemake opposition of April 11, 2009.
Juno first opposes Saturn in May 2009 and first opposes Makemake In June of 2009. Juno opposing Makemake-Saturn (at the least) raises issues regarding partnerships and allegiances surround financial structures and economic leadership.
Juno then synthesizes with Uranus: Juno makes the first of three conjunctions with Uranus on June 19, 2009. The second conjunction occurs on October 12, 2009; and the third conjunction occurs on November 20, 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions create a time of radical change for relationships surrounding issues of mutual respect and compatibility; and also strengthens those relationships focused in breaking from and standing against the conformity of the past (Juno synthesized with Uranus). Juno raises issues about how we interrelate, and thus plays a significant role in all types of relationships, those of personal intimate nature, those of business and politics, even those between countries.
Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In an astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. Mature Juno is diplomatic, tactful, cooperative, and mutually trusting. Mature Juno expresses with a sense of equality within self that provides the ability to draw true partners and those of equality into one's life. There is an acceptance of another's truth or opinion without need to challenge or debate. There is an ability to honor and support others in their own choices and decisions. Mature Juno expresses self-confidence in humbleness and without defense.
Potential Juno issues are: Superiority / inferiority complexes - competitiveness, defensiveness, lack of self confidence, arrogance and judgment of others; unconscious manipulation of others - power struggles seeking contention; betrayal, bitterness, spitefulness and standoffs; jealousy and possessiveness; one-up-man-ship--validating self by invalidating others (or reverse); dictating behavior--telling others what they should or should not do--minding others' business instead of one's own. More about Juno.
Notice also in the timeline that a new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle begins on September 8, 2009 during the Juno-Uranus conjunctions. This synod occurs just after the mid-point of the mid-point of "vision and realization" in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle (Sept 2); and just a few days before the Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition (Sept 15-17). Thus again, revealing why September 2009 marks at primary turning or transition in this entire timeline. The theme of this new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle is first mentioned in the May 24, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Dynamic Embracing Action." It will occur in the August 20, 2009 Lunar Cycle and will be presented in full in the August Lunar Planner. (See the Lunar Planner Archive for already published Lunar Planners.)
Monthly Lunar Planners older than six month's become available to non-subscribers. If you wish explore and participate with each current lunar cycle as they unfold, you can subscribe to the Lunar Planner here. Each Lunar Planner is published on each New Moon.

Makemake and Uranus oppose again on September 7, 2009, at the same time as the new Juno-Uranus synodic cycle begins, and just before the very principal September 15-17, 2009 Synodic Opposition, created by the alignment of Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake. Saturn catches up to Makemake for its one-time conjunction with Makemake on the cusp of sidereal Leo-Virgo immediately following the Synodic Opposition.
Saturn and Makemake also end their previous 32-year synodic cycle and begin a new 32-year synodic cycle on September 26, 2009--another event catalyzing the primary turning. The Saturn-Makemake synthesis in general might be thought of as the governing economic structure and it leadership. This shift, I suggest, marks the turning where we "begin" to structure a new economic paradigm.
Although we did not have any awareness of Makemake at the time, the previous 32-year Saturn-Makemake cycle began in September of 1977. The synod occurred in late sidereal Cancer and under the auspices of the Head of the Lion. Makemake was passing just over Leo Minor (the lion cub) and under the hind foot the Great Bear (world powers). The synodic theme was defined by Rasalas, the crown of the Lion; Algenubi, eye of the Lion; Tania, the hind foot of the Great Bear (world powers); and the Owl Nebula, also of Ursa Major. Also influencing was Merak of the Great Bear; and Pherkad of Ursa Minor (the bear cub).
In brief this few degree band of the zodiak is about adventurism, exploration, breaking new trail, to go where we have not gone before. These are actions that require the courage of self-conviction, self-confidence, of belief in self and of our paths in life; it is a place inspiring us to expand from our current boundaries; and is a place of audacious and proud leadership.
Obviously research about the economic structure, condition, policy and its leadership at the time would be of value. Anyone with input can post on the Lunar Planner Forum.
Our new 32-year Saturn-Makemake synodic cycle starting on September 26, 2009 occurs on cusp of sidereal Leo-Virgo. This new synodic cycle will be explored in more detail in the September 18, 2009 Lunar Planner. This new cycle will continue through 2041.

During Juno's 2009 retrograde, Juno also squares Pluto (on July 10 and September 11)--the first two of three Juno-Pluto squares. The entire Juno transition period for partnerships then culminates with a dynamic Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square occurring on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010. As Juno moves to oppose Saturn for the last time, Juno squares Pluto. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. In addition, the Moon will oppose Pluto on December 31, 2009, fulfilling this T-square to create a Grand Square--to be discussed in the December 2009 Lunar Planner.)
This event propels us into 2010. If you think 2009 was intense, hold on and let go for 2010, as Pluto and Jupiter both take prominent roles in the Makemake-Saturn-Uranus opposition.
Excerpts from Lunar Planners about Juno's role in this timeline may be presented below as they unfold.

The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square occurring on the cusp of 2009-2010 nests between the first two of three Saturn-Pluto squares, and during the Pluto station (shown to the right). The first two squares occur on November 15, 2009 and January 31, 1010. The third square occurs on August 21, 2010. This is a 270° square (in contrast to a 90° square). This means that Saturn is approaching its next synod with Pluto rather than moving away from its previous Saturn-Pluto--there is a difference (something to consider when looking at any square in an astrological chart). Much like in a lunar cycle, a 90° square creates an "external stimulus to action" whereas a 270° square create an" inner need to initiate change." Expect November 2009 through January 1, 2010 to be quite dynamic, intense and catalyzing, especially for partnerships.
Pluto ensures we address our karmic responsibility and change our personal entrapping patterns of behavior; i.e., being responsible for our personal evolution. Pluto, the opener and great reducer motivates action to participate and cooperate from an all embracing, non-discriminatory world view.
See "A new and in-depth exploration of Pluto and Pluto's compliment Orcus."
The actual 270° Saturn-Pluto square of the synodic cycle occurs on June 11, 2010, (which is only seen in a heliocentric ephemeris or heliocentric astrology chart). This marks the actual transition into the last quarter of the 37-year Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle that began on December 24, 1982--a cycle that completes on January 10, 2020. Thus, this 270° square marks a time that stimulates an "inner need to change" in the 1982 Saturn-Pluto synodic theme. For those interested in exploring this theme and historic events surrounding it; the December 24, 1982 synod occurred at 2° 36' sidereal Libra. This is a couple degrees past Spica and Archturus, at the upper thighs of the Virgin; and it conjoins Izar of Bootes and conjoining stars. Again consider what you were doing in December 1982 and what was occurring in the world, as this a time for change regarding that theme--a time of plowing under the crops and tilling the soil; a time of shedding the dismantling the stage props and personal facades of that synodic theme.
The August 2010
Jupiter Pluto Saturn Crossbow
2010 produces several significant planetary dynamics: Jupiter arrives on the scene to ally forces with Uranus, which is most significant, bringing its expansive and mobilizing force. Notice in the timeline snapshot below that Jupiter makes its first opposition out of three with Makemake just after the fourth Saturn-Uranus opposition of April 26, 2010. Jupiter then opposes Saturn on May 23 and then conjoins Uranus on June 8, right smack in the middle of the window created by the final fourth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions (April 26 and July 26, 2010).
Jupiter then makes a sustained square with Pluto as Jupiter stations at the same time as the fifth Saturn-Uranus opposition of July 26, 2010. This immediately precedes a very powerful and catalyzing Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square peaking on August 16 through August 21, 2010. This event creates a powerful opening for the Synodic Synchronization of Sept 2010 to follow. July and August will be intense to say the least, like being shot through a vast stretch in time. However, this opening should be quite catalytic to propel us into the "Mobilization of Radical Change" hallmarked by the Sept 2010 Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization. Jupiter's arrival on the scene will bring a welcomed movement and expansion toward later 2010; and an emergence from this intensity in early 2011
In contrast to the Saturn-Pluto 270° square that surrounds the last square in the Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle, which produces an inner need to change, the Jupiter-Pluto square is 90°, with Jupiter at its first quarter in the current Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle. This square produces an external stimulus to expansive action. This 13-year Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle began on November 23, 2007. It was presented in the November 9, 2007 Lunar Planner. It was also presented in the article: "The Synodic Cycles of Pluto, Ixion & Quaoar: A Historical Timeline - 1982 - 2020."
The second conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus of September 19 occurs during a compounded planetary alignment as well (Sun-Earth-Jupiter-Uranus). This marks the start of the new 399-day Earth-Jupiter synodic cycle and the next new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle; thus creating the "Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization." In addition and more significantly, it also marks the start of a new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle in early sidereal Pisces. Jupiter's synthesis with Uranus, with both standing in opposition to Makemake and Saturn, suggests an expansive mobilization of radical change in this long standing timeline of events.
In general, the resonances of expansive and mobilizing Jupiter and those of forward-orientated Uranus synthesize quite well and produce a fulfilling and beneficent outcome. They produce optimism and faith in the future. They produce opportunity for development and expansion. If anything can be indicative of a fulfilling prophecy, this is it.
The themes of these compounded synodic cycles including the next 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle is defined by the stars that lie just before the Primordial Origin of Earth's Precessional Cycle in early sidereal Pisces. Theses include the stars of Lacerta the Lizard, gate keeper and guarding to our Primordial Origin; and Scheat of the great Square of Pegasus. The synod occurs on the exact ecliptical location as Haumea's Perihelion. Haumea, with orbital similarities to Makemake, Haumea supports a new birth. It also conjoins the Circlet of stars creating the head of the western Fish; Sculptoris and the tail of the Phoenix--all indicative of sculpting a new life from our watery primal essence of being. This principle event also occurs in the crescendo of and is triggered by the September 23, 2010 Full Moon. This synodic cycle theme will be explored in detail as it approaches, and in the context the spiraling lunar cycles, in the upcoming Lunar Planners.
This primary transition occurring in this few year timeline is when we will begin to move forward in a new phase of consciousness and physical experience from the dynamic opening provided the months before by Pluto. Pluto has its way with getting us to address our karmic responsibilities, to change our patterns that keep us from addressing our true growth and achieving our greater evolutionary freedom.
The events following the Synodic Synchronization are quite significant as well. Jupiter makes its second opposition with Makemake just as Makemake and Uranus enter a very long and tight aspect in opposition (October 2010 through January 2011)--longer than the Uranus-Makemake 2008 aspect that set the stage for this entire timeline--seems to be quite a statement--again emphasizing the Uranus-Makemake global economic theme. Jupiter makes its third conjunction with Uranus On Jan 4, 2011; and immediately following, then makes its final opposition with Makemake. Jupiter then makes its final square with Pluto on February 25, 2011; and then its final opposition with Saturn on March 28. 2011.
A new Earth-planet synodic cycle begins during the planet's retrograde period (when a planet's path is moving upward in the above timeline). In the midst of a retrograde, the Sun, Earth, and the planet align creating the new Earth-planet synod. Thus, we also have a progression of Earth-planet synodic cycles occurring throughout this timeline. The progression of the themes of each of these synodic cycles reveal the underlying context occurring in the progressive unfoldment of human consciousness.
There are several Earth-Uranus synods during this timeline, with a new Earth-Uranus cycle starting approximately every 370 days. Although the Earth-Uranus synods occur more often, the progression of these synods through the ecliptic changes slowly, only by a couple of degrees at a time due to the slower orbital speed of Uranus. The Earth-Makemake synodic cycles move through the ecliptic at a very slow pace due to Makemake's long orbit / slow movement ( a 307-year orbital period). They progress even slower than those of Earth-Uranus. The Earth-Saturn synods occur approximately every 378 days. However, these synods progress through the ecliptic faster than those of Earth-Uranus, occurring about 14 degrees apart. Thus, the themes of each of the Earth-Uranus and Earth-Makemake synodic cycles shift slightly, or more gently compared to those of Saturn, which change nearly at the rate of 1/2 of a zodiacal sign. These cycles can also be seen on the Synodic Cycles Timeline.
The Earth-Uranus synods are currently progressing across the cusp of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces. The Earth-Saturn synodic cycle starting on February 24 2008 occurred in early sidereal Leo conjoining the principal stars of the Sextant and Thuban of Draco. The next Earth-Saturn synod does not occur until March 8, 2009. Thus, the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions (Nov 4, 2008 and Feb 5, 2009) occur in the latter part of the Earth-Saturn Sextans synodic cycle. The theme of this synodic cycle reveals the underlying context for the nature of Saturn's role in the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions. The theme of this specific Earth-Saturn synodic cycle was presented in the February 6, 2008 Lunar Planner. In brief, Saturn, of responsibility, structure and form, was demanding we get our bearings, plot a new course, and take a new tack in the area of leadership. The next Earth-Saturn synodic cycle, starting on March 8, 2009 occurs in late sidereal Leo. The following one occurs on March 22, 2010 in early sidereal Virgo. The next one occurs on April 3, 2011, about 14 degrees further in sidereal Virgo. Again , all are or will be discussed in detail in each corresponding Lunar Planner. There may be brief excerpts of some below.
The synodic cycles created by Earth and Saturn and those by Earth and Uranus, nest with the more embracing 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle that began on June 9, 1988; and surround the very significant mid-point transition of this 44-year cycle occurring in September of 2009.

In a covert manipulative maneuver, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) seized Washington Mutual (WaMu) and sold it to J.P. Morgan on September 25, 2008 for $1.888 Billion, a fraction of its worth, in a cloak of secrecy, and in what has been called a "fire sale." While the media portrayed J.P. Morgan as a savior, which could not be further from the truth, little do "we the people" know what lies behind the scenes.
Occuring after the first extended Makemake-Uranus opposition of 2008, Saturn was making its passage in later sidereal Leo, through the hind of the Lion, and under the auspices of fiery and explosive Mizar of Ursa Major, one of the stars of the World Powers, as it makes its way toward the first Saturn-Uranus Opposition. Mizar is of raw volatile power that must express. Also conjoining are the stars of Canes Venatici, the Barking Hounds; and the stars of Antlia, the hot air pump--all producing a several degree band of the zodiak of diversionary tactics, grand spectacle, loud racket, commotion and smoke screens--a zodiakal area filled with hot air and foul breezes that could easily fuel a fire. During the few days leading into September 25, Jupiter trines Saturn triggered by the extended Mercury-Venus-Mars conjunction. Mercury, on its way to begin its retrograde on September 24, 2009 exactly conjoins Mars just as Mercury stations, and both conjoin Spica and oppose Eris, the Great disrupter, which conjoins the belly of ole' Cetus, the technobureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. Uranus lies at the mid-point between Eris and Neptune which are sextile. Also aspecting are Sedna and Varuna. Of particular note, the Mercury station-Mars conjunction exactly conjoins WaMu's natal Uranus ! The Moon crosses its South Node and aspects the entire geometry on September 25---BANG!--Washington Mutual Inc's 119-year anniversary.
WaMuQ'd The Movie: The Washington Mutual Story:
Intro and Prologue
http://www.wamuqd.com/
"The tag team of JP Morgan as the monster, and Goldman Sachs as its harlot, represent a powerful pair that is more responsible for destroying the entire US financial system than 95% of the American public has any awareness...."
WaMu had $54 Billion of liquidity at the time of the forced 1.9 Billion sale--of which $4 Billion was on deposit at Washington Mutual Bank. WaMu was forced to file Chapter 11 the following day--forcing stock holders to loose $26 Billion instantly. This seizure impacted all types of investments in all US stock markets and caused shock waves throughout stock markets worldwide--a maneuver believed by those who know the truth to be a primary cause for the financial avalanche that began in September 2008.
Washington Mutual Inc (WMI) moved to investigate JP Morgan on May 20, 2009 seeking billions in damages. Washington Mutual Inc filed suit against JP Morgan for return of their $4 Billion deposit; and WMI also filed suit against the FDIC seeking damages of approximately $40 Billion. "Phrases like ‘far below market value’, ‘premeditated plan’, ‘designed to damage’, ‘purchase…on the cheap’, ‘wrongful conduct’, ’sham negotiations’, ‘misusing confidential information’, ‘violation of confidentiality agreement’, ‘unfair advantage’, and ‘fire sale prices’ are in the court motion." The Full WaMu Story: http://www.wamuequity.org/
This drama, as one of the primary scenes upon the world stage, will surely come to its climax within this 2008-2011 timeline--especially as Saturn begins its square with Pluto, and with both creating a T-square with Juno (November 2009 through January 2011); and then as Jupiter opposes Saturn with the two making their potent and dramatic T-square with Pluto (August 2011). Perhaps this "opening" period in mid-2011 will be one of "grand exposure" regarding the rampant controlling manipulation and fraudulent maneuvers going on between the governments and banking industries.
" "Hank the Hammer" Paulson, iconic Wall Street hero, a Trojan Horse placed inside Washington by Goldman Sachs as Treasury Secretary in control of America's $15 trillion economy....."
Pallas, Venus &
The Saturn Uranus Opposition
Surrounding the days of November 4, 2008, the asteroid Pallas creates a T-square with the Uranus-Saturn opposition. Venus moves into position to create a Grand Square at the exact time of opposition. This alignment opens the theme of the Saturn-Uranus Opposition, setting the stage.
The new, radical, unconventional and higher-intelligence wanting to re-define what is established (Uranus) stands in opposition to the long-established, conventional, and stoic (Saturn). Uranus is empowered in this scenario residing in its domicile, humanitarian sidereal Aquarius, while Saturn resides in later sidereal Leo, at the hind of the Lion, in somewhat of a toxic area filled with hot air and foul breezes that could fuel a fire. Not to be fooled! Saturn has however just made a very significant encounter with Orcus, one of our new Dwarf Planets, together they started an entirely new 32-year cycle--producing a "new breed of leaders."
The real issue here is revealed by Pallas, the energetic of the T-square--that must express one way or another. Immature Pallas will fall into spiteful side-taking and lashing out, or will spitefully withdraw altogether--and while the Grand Square is active, Pallas opposing Venus challenges the feminine principle and those living from heart to stand strong. Mature Pallas expresses artistic creative intelligence beyond the righteous opposing forces and judgmental side-taking of the dualist world and will only provide solution by honoring both sides of the coin.
An in-depth exploration of this Grand Square, the star alignments involved and the Lunar Cycle in which it occurred was presented in the October 28, 2008 Lunar Planner entitled The Equipoise of Pure Intent: A New Birth in Consciousness. (subscribers link).

In addition to the Grand Square (red lines) involving the Moon, Quaoar, Saturn and Uranus, notice the three interacting Yod's (violet lines)--from Varuna and Sedna to Quaoar; from Varuna and Saturn to Chiron; and from Chiron and Eris to Saturn. Three related trines are also shown (green lines).
The first Saturn-Uranus opposition opened the issue, one challenging us to change a failing antiquated structure. This second opposition results in somewhat of a reversed nature, with a "constructive" energetic now engaging--thanks to the Yods in this geometry (discussed below).
Occurring in the Eclipse Lunar Cycle of January 26, 2009 and within the 24-hour crescendo leading into the Gibbous Moon, retrograde Saturn and Uranus make the second of their five oppositions in the early hours of February 5, 2009.
The New Moon of this lunar cycle (a solar eclipse conjoined Jupiter) occurs in the midst of a stellium (grouping) of planets in sidereal Capricorn, including retrograde Mercury, Mars, Juno, Jupiter, the Centaurs Nessus and Chiron, and Neptune--all centering on the Lunar North Node, creating a significant and potent lunar cycle. These planets synthesize their forces as if they were one massive planet--and in this case, creating a powerful force or wave that will sweep through our lives and carry us forward into a dynamic year of accelerated change and new realms of experience. This stellium's placement on the North Lunar Node creates a magnetic force that pulls us into the future.
This second Saturn-Uranus opposition involves Quaoar, the Moon, Chiron, Eris, Sedna and Varuna--all creating a multi-faceted geometric gateway. The potency of this event starts on the eve of February 4 and continues through the Gibbous Moon which occurs in the early hours of February 6. This event culminates on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of February 9, 2009 in sidereal Cancer, which also directly aspects this geometric gateway. The Sun conjoins Chiron on the Full Moon--bringing the past powerful two weeks and the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to a revelatory culmination. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse activates a very constructive Varuna-Saturn Yod (Finger of God) to Sun-Chiron. As we emerge from this gateway, it is as if we are perched on a threshold provided by Chiron--leaving us with a sobering revelation about a bridge we must construct and cross over the month's ahead.

The illustration to the right shows the lower 10 degree corner of the 2009 Graphic Ephemeris. It reveals the crescendo leading into the point of resonance between Uranus, Earth and Saturn as Uranus and Saturn make the second of their five oppositions, which occurs just before the February lunar eclipse (the shaded red area leading into where the Uranus and Saturn lines cross). Also shown are Eris, Varuna and Quaoar, all of which are around 24-26 degrees in their respective signs, and also aspecting the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Chiron, moving a bit faster than the other players, moves into an exact aspect at the time of Saturn-Uranus opposition. Also note Eris, the great disrupter, at the exact same longitude.
The Moon moves into a primary position at the exact time of the Saturn-Uranus opposition fulfilling the Quaoar-Saturn-Uranus T-square to create a Grand Square (not seen in the ephemeris but shown in the above aspect chart). Thus, the Moon and Quaoar, responsible for the Grand Square, play a primary role in the second Saturn-Uranus opposition.
Quaoar (pronounced kwah-whar) is one of new Dwarf Planets discovered in Ophiuchus in 2002. Quaoar supports a "harmonious revolution"--that we surrender egoic consciousness and align to divine order. Quaoar supports our return to the "sacredness of life"; to realize all things in life are sacred; and that it is our responsibility to have respect for natural order and to live in harmony with nature; without this we do not have respect for our selves. More about Quaoar.
Quaoar, still in Ophiuchus (sidereal Scorpio) conjoins Eta and Zeta Ara, and the Ara Black Hole X-ray source V821.
Ara, Altar of the Centaur, has also been imaged as the Altar of Dionysus, son of Zeus and Semele, god of wine and fertility, this was before the creation of Norma the square which is oddly placed between Lupus and Ara. Here was a censer in which perfumes were burned before the dead, also a brazier, both of which were associated with Vesta, goddess of the Hearth. Ara also represents the altars on the summits of temple towers, serving as lighthouses for the ancients, with the Alexandrian Pharos being the great example. The illustrations of Hyginus (1488-1535) show an altar from which flames ascended with demons on either side. Poetically it was described with flames rising northward through the Milky Way--along the starry stream and through galactic centre (Allen). Dionysus, god of ecstasy and wine, a mystic and lover, is known, in part, for rescuing women (descending to Helle--mortality--to save is mother) and restoring their office to Goddess--to their immortality. All of this refers to the purification process, the surrendering, or casting out that which is degenerative (the accumulations of judgments that bind us to mortality (judge ye not lest ye be judged) so we may attain our divine birthright, awakened to the illumined durative (immortal) souls that we are. In this light we have the principles underlying healing and the transmutation process, for which our northern illumined Ophiuchus stands.
The mythical image here is of the Centaur placing Lupus the beast with conscious deliberation upon the Centaur's sacrificial altar. V821 in Ara is an x-ray emitting & fluctuating binary star. This is a collapsed object (like a old neutron star) that accretes matter, and thus had been placed in the old Black Hole model by astronomers and had commonly been called the Ara Black Hole. V821 accretes emotion for consummation in the Centaur's Pyre. Here we must place, with conscious deliberation, any long standing grief, guilt, anger, and any other emotion (especially self-judgment related) that we are holding upon the Altar of the Centaur for our transmutation. North from the Sting of the Scorpion drips the transmuting elixir (the often harsh lessons of life), upon the Altar. This act is essential to experience the actual neurological transmutation made possible here, and that leads to our greater self-mastery; the mastery of the creative and carnal forces of life exemplified by Ophiuchus, who stands over the Scorpion and this entire scene. If we are not ready to surrender and relinquish our antiquated emotional baggage, we are held back and continue to experience upsets, diversions and even traumatic and catastrophic events in our lives.
This sacrificial rite, occurring at the end of sidereal Scorpio, under its sting, and upon the low Altar of the Centaur, precedes movement to the high Altar, which resides in early Sagittarius, and where upon lies our Galactic Center--and which leads to the subsequent passage through the Gate of God (5° sidereal Sag).
Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann

Instrument: Multi-band Imaging Photometer (MIPS)

NASA Videos of Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann breakup
http://www.spacetelescope.org/news/html/heic0605.html
Lying opposite Quaoar, and triggering this event is the pre-Gibbous Moon in late sidereal Taurus. The Moon is a bit north of the ecliptic approaching El Nath, the North Horn of the Bull, and will pass 1.5 degrees just south of this star.
In addition, the broken up Comet stream 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann conjoins and lies in direct line with the Moon. This icy comet began to splinter apart in 1995, believed to be caused my thermal stress as it made its way around the Sun. This infrared image provided by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, provides one of the best views of the comet after its breakup. The flame-like objects are the comet's fragment tails. The line connecting the fragments is composed of the dust along the comet's path.
The Comet adds a dynamic aspect to the Moon's presence in this Grand Square, perhaps helping to explode the issues at hand into detailed view.
The Moon lies between the ecliptical longitudes of Rigel and Bellatrix of Orion, and conjoins Haedus, AE Aurigae, and the Flaming Star Nebula C405 of the Charioteer.
Rigel is of enterprising entrepreneurship. Orions in general are known for their architectural capacity. Prominent alignments with Rigel (and Bellatrix) bring the capacity to embody, direct and execute large, extravagant and grandiose projects; bringing good through commerce and business affairs. Kursa, conjoining Rigel, marks the beginning of Eridanus, the River of Life. Kursa is of new beginnings, new journeys, new involvements, and new legs of our lives. Although it may be time to go forth anew, into a new phases of our lives, we must be aware of the tenacious perseverance required when staring new life journeys, to move from the wars and trials of the past to the freedom of the future.
Bellatrix, Gamma Orion, is the Female Amazon Warrior, the conqueror, star of the Amazon. Bellatrix holds excellent capacities in "strategic planning," (in contrast to Betelgeuse, the male warrior, whose capacity is more about response in the moment). Classically, Bellatrix is lucky in administrative accomplishment--in civil, political, and military office. Bellatrix is especially favorable for women, and brings a loquacious quality. This star announces the rising of the more brilliant enterprising star Rigel, the left foot of Orion.
The Alpha and Beta stars of northern Camel, which conjoin Bellatrix, articulate the nature of this zodiakal band in Taurus well. The Camel spreads wealth around the world through commerce and business, is a resilient, enduring, hard working and intelligent beast of burden with the ability to go for days without water before becoming distressed, one suited for long and arduous journeys. This also articulates the planning and administrative nature of Bellatrix and the plodding and enduring nature of Taurus in general.
AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula IC405
The principle conjoining star is AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula IC405, which lies north of Taurus is Auriga, the Charioteer.
An interesting observation about the energetic star AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula is that it came from the same location as Mu of Columba the Dove, emblem of Divine dispensation--both from the Great Orion Nebula. It appears as if the two stars had a very close encounter only to be expelled from the Orion Nebula, and now reside in different parts of the heavens. This suggests a renegade or outcast quality, one who lives outside the beliefs and conventions of its group, a free and highly creative thinker moving on its own, even with its own agenda, which is quite fitting to this longitude of Taurus, and typical to impious but highly creative and enterprising Orion.
In addition to the Moons conjoining stars, El Nath, the north Horn of the Bull, also adds significant character to this Grand Square due to the Moon-El Nath ecliptical latitude.
El Nath and Al Hecka are the Horns of the Bull, which lie over the head of Orion and south of the Charioteer, Auriga. The Horns embody the pursuit, struggle, and engagement in the physical world. El Nath, Beta Taurus (also shared with Auriga as Gamma Auriga), the north horn of the Bull, brings the capacity for tenacious perseverance for accomplishment. El Nath motivates the drive to continue to persevere to achieve a breakthrough. El Nath is of worthy pursuit for our future freedom.
Chiron plays a significant role in the Saturn-Uranus opposition not only due its placement, but also because Chiron's orbit harmonically synchronizes with the orbit of Uranus when Chiron is at its furthest point from the Sun (aphelion), and crosses into Saturn's orbit when it is closest to the Sun--thus linking the realms of the two planets. Chiron brings radical new discoveries and unexpected insights (Uranus) into the world of function and application (Saturn), and provides a way to expand (bridge) from that which is concretized and established by creating new neurological pathways where none previously existed. Chiron is currently moving toward its aphelion (furthest point from the Sun) where its next Chiron-Uranus orbital resonance occurs.
Chiron resides in the fortuitous area of late sidereal Capricorn, and is slightly north of the ecliptic nesting amongst the stars of the constellation of Aquarius (which overlaps into the latter part of sidereal Capricorn). Chiron, which is currently a part of the stellium (grouping) of planets in sidereal Capricorn, primarily conjoins Nashira of Capricorn and Beta Gruis. This is an expressive and articulate area of the zodiak, with gregarious and loquacious qualities. It is of libraries, courts, congresses, publishing houses, literary agencies, or where any legalities are formulated, agreed upon and concretized.
Gruis the crane enters the ecliptic from the south as an underling and eloquently supportive influence especially to the last decan of sidereal Capricorn, between Alpha and Beta Gruis and extending through the Aquarius Capricorn overlap. The stellar influence of Gruis brings brilliance in grammatical arts, is a contributor to the excellence in law and associated disciplines requiring articulation of the written word or law. Beta Gruis conjoins Nashira of Capricorn, which lies just south of the ecliptic. Nashira, a fortuitous star, is the bringer of good news, especially regarding legalities, business dealings, and constitutional matters, as well as sanctioned matters of the soul.
Gruis as the stork, is carrier of bodies of knowledge, information, and news associated with new life and new beginnings. Prominent alignments with Beta Gruis and Nashira are exemplary of carriers of good tidings associated with legalities. The Toucan's loquacious and gregarious qualities also underlie Gruis as well contributing to the expressive and articulate nature of this area of the zodiak.
Another mythical image that aptly articulates the qualities expressing here is that by astronomer Jullius Schiller who combined the Crane with the Phoenix as "Aaron" the high priest-scientist, brother of Miriam and Moses. In its entirety, this "alternative constellation" then encompasses the last decan of Capricorn, all of Aquarius, and the first decan of Pisces. Aaron thus stands under Fomalhaut (of Pisces Aus), with his amulet of the messianic mission (the Ankaa, Alpha Phoenix), in support of the people; and under Achernar (end of the river). Aaron, the articulate high priest, applying his wisdom, underwrites the essence of Fomalhaut (future vision of an evolved humanitarian based society) and stands for the humanitarian vision and quality of life that Aquarius expresses. Aaron (and sister Miriam) are instrumental in freeing the people to walk the river of life. Aaron, as spokesperson for the three, stood in defense of Divine Law as an equal to the best of the authorities of the time. He was capable of communicating in intellectual prowess and demonstrating his wisdom of Divine Law, challenging the highest councils of religious political law governing Egypt.
In this imaging, Alpha Gruis, the primary star of Gruis, is Aaron's head, which embodies the pure wisdom (wise-dome) and knowledge of the high priest. Alpha Gruis is also called "the Bright One," and as Aaron's head, marks the crown and third eye chakras. Alpha Gruis conjoins (synthesizes with) the way-showers of the northern Dolphin star system, Delphinus. Alpha Gruis brings a capacity "to know" the way through the labyrinth of law, a way from the past, from what has been established.
Beta Gruis, I dub as Aaron's throat chakra, his voice--expressing through Nashira of Capricorn (bringer of good news). Here we find a masterful capacity of intelligent and eloquent communication--the ability to articulate the extensive wisdom of the priest-scientist, the awareness of higher law embodied by Alpha Gruis.
Eris, the great disrupter, intervenes or upsets, but in a way that leads to a new clarity of understanding and reorganization to follow. Eris currently resides in late sidereal Pisces, but is south of the ecliptic in the belly of ole' Cetus, the Technobureaucratic Monster of Collective Human Consciousness. It is here where Eris has been and is currently doing its undermining work--disrupting the very functioning of the technobureaucratic world and that of the collective mass populous.
The geometrics of a Yod (Finger of God) invite a highly creative process. The base of the Yod is created by two planets in sextile (60°). From each base point, two inconjuncts (150°) aspect a third planet, the apex of the Yod. This geometry demands the creative application of the base points toward the apex. This occurs through an oscillation between the base points--creating an iterative process back and forth from one base point to the other in application to the apex.
As the base to this Yod, Chiron and Eris inspire the creative application of the their qualities to address Saturn. Thus we are motivated to disrupt or overturn the established system of structure and form, while at the same time identifying new modalities of functioning to restructure that which is being dismantled.
As we will see, Chiron (conjoined Beta Gruis and Nashira) becomes the focal point (apex) of a another Yod activated by the Full Moon Eclipse Chiron Sun conjunction of February 9, 2009, which brings the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to its culmination.

The Full Moon eclipse in late sidereal Cancer lies under the auspices of the Head of the Lion, which looks back over the Cancer-Leo cusp. It conjoins Algenubi, eye of the Lion. Also influencing are Merak of the Great Bear; the hind foot of the Bear, Tania Bor and Aus; and the southern Naos of Argo Navis.
Adventurism, exploration, breaking new trail, to go where we have not gone before, to get on with it--to engage, are all themes here. These are actions that require the courage of self-conviction, of belief in self, and in our paths in life; to have the inner confidence to step away from the convention of mass consensus and beyond the boundaries of known self.
Algenubi, Eye of the Lion, best embodies the theme of this few degree band of the ecliptic. Algenubi is of "breaking trail." These are the explorers and adventurers with interest beyond mere egoic importance to fit in with those performing on the worldly stage.
The Sun conjoins Chiron on the Lunar Eclipse--bringing the past powerful two weeks and the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to a culmination. The Full Moon-Earth-Sun-Chiron alignment aspects the Saturn-Uranus oppositions multi-faceted geometry--with the Sun and Chiron 30° to Uranus, and the Moon 30° to Saturn. It leaves us perched upon a threshold, to create and cross a new bridge into the future.
The Sun and Chiron make a revelatory conjunction on the Full Moon eclipse. Notice in the above Full Moon aspect chart, that this activates the Varuna-Saturn to Chiron Yod. Varuna, allied in strength with Saturn, marks the time to construct new order out of chaos. Varuna, in late sidereal Gemini, conjoins Castor of the Gemini Twins.
The role of the Gemini Twins is of partnership in mutual cooperation participating in the human world, one of linking and uniting the mission of the soul (galactic plane) into and through our daily affairs in the world. The Twins work hand-in-hand for the betterment and evolutionary fulfillment of humankind. And of course, Gemini is of communication, commerce, and activity. Gemini is of high intensity intellectual communication, knowledge, information, goods and services, and their exchange. Thus,
Although the Twins are of communication and human betterment, they have in some legend been at odds with each other, a bit argumentative. Here is the Gemini trait of competitiveness, debate, arbitration, and negotiation, but ultimately leading to agreement and solution. Castor is the liaison in the world of daily human affairs, and is of partnerships and cooperation. Castor brings resources and people together that serve to get logistics accomplished in the world of business and commerce.
Also entering this band of the ecliptic is Adhara creating part of the hind-quarter of Canis Major; and Gomeisa of Canis minor. The Arabic Adhara means virgins (and should not be confused with Aludra, the pure one of the bread, which is near by in longitude but not in distance). Gomeisa is assistant to the principal star of Canis Minor, Procyon. Adhara is the aid, assistant or manager, those in liaison position in larger cooperative groups or organizations. Gomeisa can indicate those with essential expertise and perhaps behind the scenes, but who should be included in the credits and rewards for efforts well done.
Public Relations and liaison articulates the nature of the Twins--linking individuals together in larger groups or organizations that can serve a purpose far greater than the separate parties can accomplish alone. Here we find motivation for the coordination and exchange of resources and information between individuals and groups, and the planning of more encompassing joint ventures.
Varuna and Saturn demand we address the Sun-Chiron revelation. This Full Moon Eclipse Yod should bring realizations not only about the theme of this lunar cycle, but also about the nature of the bridges we must now construct and cross that emerge out of the dynamic Saturn-Uranus-Sedna-Varuna-Eris-Quaoar planetary gateway. Heeding our realizations on this Full Moon Eclipse--regarding this Chiron theme--would be wise.
The Chiron-Sun-Moon-Earth-alignment also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current and significant year-long Earth-Chiron synodic cycle that began on August 10, 2008 conjoining Delphinus, the Dolphin star system--also in an eclipse Lunar Cycle, and residing on the lunar nodes, magnetically drawing us to explore the new and unknown (Chiron North Node), to leave that which is visible, our old patterns of behavior, perceptions of self, and our current roles in the world (Sun South Node). The current Earth-Chiron synodic cycle was presented in the August 1, 2008 Lunar Planner.
An in-depth exploration of this second Saturn-Uranus opposition in the context of the the Lunar Cycle in which it occurred was presented in the January 26, 2009 Lunar Planner entitled To Cross a Threshold. (subscribers link).
Lunar Planners older than six lunar months become available to non-subscribers.
They can be found in the Monthly Lunar Planner Archive.
One of several key transition points occurring in the couple year long Saturn-Uranus Opposition is the start of the new Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle, which occurs on March 8, 2009 just after Venus begins its retrograde and just after the Comet Lulin Gibbous Moon. The Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle begins when the Sun, Earth and Saturn align, which occurs in the middle of Saturn's retrograde.
Saturn imaged by the Cassini Spacecraft

Saturn's previous 378-day synodic cycle started on February 24, 2008. Its theme, defined by Alpha Sextans, The Vela Pulsar and Thuban of Draco was presented in the February 6, 2008 Lunar Planner. A quote about the last cycle: "This Earth-Saturn synodic theme brings to conscious awareness our responsibility to navigate our evolutionary course with the understanding of the long-term ramifications involved. In addition, we find the need to shift what was perhaps a long-standing momentum established in the patriarchal-based bureaucratic structures governing our world, as well as our need to take a new approach regarding those long-standing but now out-dated established life scenarios or modalities of being within our own lives." Note that the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions (Nov 4, 2008 and Feb 5, 2009) occurred during the theme of Saturn's previous synodic cycle.
The stars in late sidereal Leo define the theme of the new Earth-Saturn synodic cycle starting on March 8, 2009. They are Asterion (Chara) the Beta star of Canes Venatici, the barking dogs (pronounced key' neez ven ah tee' see); the Pulsar CP1133 of Leo; and Delta Velorum, on the sail of the Argo. Also influencing is Mizar of the Great Bear, which resides a bit earlier in ecliptical longitude; and Denebola, tail of the Lion, and Alpha Antlia, the hot air pump, both a bit later in longitude. Denebola, along with earlier Zosma and Chort, a triangle of stars, create the hind of the Lion. North in the heavens is the tail of the Great Bear, extending from Alioth to Mizar to Benatnasch, with the latter marking the tail's tip, and which resides at the Leo-Virgo cusp. Just under the tail of the Great Bear are the barking dogs (Canes Venatici).
Although Mizar and Benatnasch of Ursa Major are not principle stars of the Saturn synod, the synod lies between their longitudes, closer to Mizar. Thus a brief exploration of these stars and those of this entire area of late sidereal Leo will help provide context for this synodic theme.
Mizar, an overseeing predominant star of the Great Bear, embodies raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but for its proper expression, we must apply it with creative vision. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive tendencies, and the fear to create lest it may result in destruction. Here we learn the nature of such volatile forces. Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar can however express quite artistically. Gunpowder can express as beautiful fireworks as well as devastating explosions. The expression of Mizar is always noticed in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo.
Denebola, Beta Leo and Alpha Antlia, the hot-air pump, express through the last few degrees of sidereal Leo. Also conjoining are Alkes of Crateris, the cup of salvation, and the very southern Avior of Carina, Argo Navis--the true seer. This creates a diverse polarity of energies that set Leo's "back stage." A bit further, on the Leo-Virgo cusp, is Benatnasch of the Great Bear, Cor Caroli of the Barking Dogs; M51 the giant diversionary whirlpool galaxy; and Zavijava of early Virgo.
Denebola is also of colon physiology and intestinal toxicity, along with earlier Zosma and Chort, which form the hind of the lion. This area of the Leo is of those behind the scenes, of the political religious figureheads manipulating the affairs of the world.
Benatnasch, the tip of the Bear's tail, is of the old totalitarian and dictatorial administrative seat directing the affairs on Earth. I derive this from the time when Earth's pole had fallen its furthest from the plane of galactic light in its ~25,000-year precessional cycle, which occurred about 6000 years ago (at 5° sidereal Virgo)--90 degrees ago in the precessional cycle. This also marked a phase-reversal in the precessional cycle where began a transition from matriarchal leadership to patriarchal leadership. Earth's pole then began to precess across the Virgo-Leo cusp and into late sidereal Leo (and over the star Benatnasch). This time, around the phase reversal, was the darkest period in the precessional cycle--hence in mythical terms, Benatnasch can be called a "fallen lord" due to the angular orientation of Earth's pole with respect to the galactic plane. This precessional phase transition led to the suppression of the matriarchal by the patriarchal, which led to the assumption that Egyptian pharaohs were male, and which later lead to a male papacy. This historical transition of matriarchal leadership to patriarchal dominance is articulated by Stephen Mahler (The Land Of Osiris); et. al., who suggest that in pre-dynastic Egypt the head of the 'high house' was female, who then choose a consort who became her male king--and that the postulate that pharaohs were male was due to a miss-translation.
The changing orientation of Earth's pole to the Galactic Plane can be observed in Earth's Precessional movies.

Just south of Benatnasch is the constellation Canes Venatici, the barking hounds, articulating that the totalitarian tactics are those of commotion and grand spectacle, ensuring the attraction of one's attention, the lure of the false prophets and spiritual / political illusionists. Cor Caroli is the Alpha star of Canes Venatici, and conjoining is M51, the giant whirlpool galaxy. Asterion is the Beta star of the hounds conjoining the hind of the Lion. This image articulates the expression of the Benatnasch directive simply as loud and grand global proportion spectacle, but as diversionary tactics. The paradox here is this racket is indicative of what not to follow, and more paradoxically yet, it keeps the self-proclaimed leaders from finding the real Cup they spout to be in possession of anyway. Examples are a government covertly selling war arms to the very country they are fighting, in the name of eradicating the war mongers, or covertly selling drugs to the country's drug lords while presenting to the public their cause is to fight the drug problem. Or the self-proclaimed guru spouting spiritual principles to sell their wares or to create their ego-gratifying followings.
It is not uncommon for such beings to pretend they are doing that which supports the greater freedom by creating dramatic and glamorous humanitarian projects (the barking greyhound and the glamorous Giant Whirlpool Galaxy) or stage shows performed in the name of spiritual growth, when what is hidden within these projections of smoke is that which is designed to maintain an egoic position of control and manipulation over the masses who are merely blind pawns in a game of who's following the biggest ego on Earth. Here we are asked to look behind the suits these beings wear, and peer deeply into the dramatic facade of their projects to see the trap of diversion designed to mislead and control. We are asked to look at our own insecurities within to see why we would follow such antics to start with rather than to cultivate the purity and integrity to claim our own grail by following the truth in our hearts. These self-proclaimed often call themselves Masters or Officials and lead others to address them as such without question so that they may then dictate action for and direct their follows to do their biding for their own manipulative purposes.
Curiously conjoining Benatnasch, marking the Leo-Virgo cusp and lying south of the ecliptic, and below the egoic stage setting of late sidereal Leo, is Alkes of Crateris, the Cup of Salvation, the Golden Chalice. Here we find the way, the salvation, the greater spiritual fulfillment that we seek laying silently submerged under the diversionary shenanigans perpetuated by the puppet-masters directing the global stage. Most of Crateris expresses through early sidereal Virgo, but Alkes is first star of significance.
The mixed theme here at the cusp indicates either genuine spiritual figures or leaders, or hot-air wanna-be guru types--those spouting a lot of self important head tripping spiritual principle, but without any real substance or true wisdom. The issue of discernment arises, which is required to see the illusionists and diversionists from those of real spiritual and moral value--to grasp the grail of Alkes through the smoke of Denebola and the hot air they spout which is articulated by conjoining Alpha Antlia, the air pump driving the fire and swirling the smoke. Hence, as the old saying goes, if someone offers salvation from the human struggle, they most often are selling something.
As we transcend the egoic stage altogether, we find Avior, Epsilon Carina of Argo Navis and Delta Velorum on the sail of the Argo. These two stars are associated with the underlying spiritual truth and wisdom that guides us to our greater fulfillment and well being, a truth far hidden from the ego-driven wanna-be spiritual-political self-proclaimed authorities who spout principles they do not live. Avior articulates the true spiritual sage who often time is one without need to be on stage, one who is often found behind the scenes simply living their spiritual truth, transcendent to the smoke and follies common to the global stage. These are often those working with transcendent currents of wisdom (Delta Velorum) that influence the surface world in genuine ways--those who make a real difference but who do not need to at personality level.
Now that we have some context for this area of the zodiak, let us return to the longitude of the Saturn synod: Also conjoining Asterion and Delta Velorum is the pulsar CP1133 nesting at the hind of the Lion, in the triangle of stars created by Zosma, Chort and Denebola. Pulsars in general are beacons for the soul, providing an inner message or a constant reminder for those attentive to such subtleties. For the less conscious it may lure one into the monotonous drone of the diversionary propaganda and dramas offer by the media. For the more attentive it may act as a constant reminder about the prolific foul winds that could fuel a diversionary fire.
Thus, our new Saturn synodic cycle, expressing over the next 378 days, may yield a lot of hot air and foul winds producing a dramatic racket and fiery commotion, but which are mere diversionary tactics intended to distract the masses from the real issues at hand. This may accentuate the last dramatic gasps of the totalitarians and covert manipulators. On the other hand, we may also find those participating in the system (Saturn) with sincerity in their efforts to re-structure the foundation of the system and lead humanity through the diversionary smoke to a greater fulfillment. Remember that Uranus remains in opposition to Saturn--hence this radical upheaval and the challenge for change, to break us free from the conformity of the past. Either way Mizar's fiery expressive force is at work. The primary issue here is one of discernment, to extract a path that leads to our true wellbeing from the dramatic racket occurring in the world around us.
Although this predominantly occurs in the global arena, under the auspices of Mizar's dramatic fiery expression, in the totalitarian patriarchal dominant world of Benatnasch, in the midst of noisy Asterion of the barking hounds, and in the toxicity common to the hind of the Lion, we also experience this energetic in our personal lives, with need to discern and sort through the underpinnings of our own lives, of the systems we follow, of the junk we may have accumulated that clutters our lives, as the challenge for radical change is at hand. Hence the months immediately ahead may be of diversionary dramatics, but it is a time of sorting that which is of value from that which is not, one which precedes the point of turning in the Saturn-Uranus opposition to occur in September 2009, and the subsequent mobilization of change in 2010, when Jupiter joins Uranus in opposition to Saturn.

Juno, asteroid of covenant relations and mutual respect, conjoins Uranus and opposes Saturn and Makemake surrounding the "Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition." Juno makes the first of three conjunctions with Uranus on June 19, 2009. The second conjunction occurs on October 12, 2009; and the third conjunction occurs on November 20, 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions occurring from June 19 through November 20, 2009 inspire radical change for relationships surrounding issues of mutual respect and compatibility; and also strengthen those relationships focused in breaking from and standing against the conformity of the past. Personal relationships and professional business political partnerships may change based around financial issues.
A new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year synodic cycle begins during the Juno-Uranus conjunctions, when Juno and Uranus align from the Sun's view. This (Heliocentric conjunction) occurs on September 8, 2009, just a few days before the "Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition" of mid-September.

The theme of the new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle that starts on September 8, 2009 (continuing through March 16, 2014) is defined by the cuspal stars of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces. The previous Juno-Uranus synodic cycle began on February 26, 2005 in early to mid-sidereal Aquarius. The following cycle (March 16, 2014) occurs in mid-sidereal Pisces.
***Juno's very significant 2009 role in the Saturn-Uranus opposition (and its ramifications for partnerships) culminates with a Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square on December 24, 2009 through January 1, 2010.
The Last Quarter Moon creates our "inner need to initiate change" in the lunar cycle as we move into the cycle's last and transitional quarter. Our Last Quarter Moon occurs on June 15 just as Jupiter begins its retrograde. Of far more significance, the Moon conjoins Juno and Uranus on the cusp of sidereal Pisces. Juno makes three conjunctions with Uranus surrounding a new Juno-Uranus synodic cycle starting on September 8, 2009. Although the actual Juno-Uranus conjunction is a few days away (occurring hours before the Balsamic Moon of June 18-19), the two are a small fraction of degree apart and this lunar trigger occurring in the crescendo of their conjunction initiates the Juno-Uranus energetic.
Juno now begins to play a primary role in our planetary symphony and continues to do so through the end of 2009 as it joins Uranus in opposition to Pluto throughout this period. Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships and soul colleagues; of mutual compatibility, diplomacy, trust and respect. Radical Uranus breaks us from the conforming bounds of the past, from the status quo. Uranus brings the unexpected, inspires spontaneity, is of higher mind and is future oriented.
The Juno-Uranus conjunction, triggered by this Last Quarter Moon of June 19, 2009, begins a several month period catalyzing radical change and unexpected opportunities for relationships and partnerships of all types as we make the transition from the previous Juno-Uranus synodic cycle into the next. The Juno-Uranus opposition to Saturn occurring now through December can bring inner conflicts as well as conflicts in relationships to surface. The conflict can be due to a strong need to change while feeling oppressed or restricted by existing conditions, however change must ultimately occur. This need to change will intensify when Pluto begins to square Juno in July, and then further when Pluto begins to square Saturn in mid-November. Jupiter will then conjoin Uranus and both will oppose Saturn starting in May of 2010, mobilizing and expanding upon the changes we are making in 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions staring now may also invite greater cooperation between those focused in change, who are challenging that which is antiquated to find a new way into the future.
These cycles occurring throughout 2009 and 2010 embrace the synchronizations of two primary transitions in much longer-term cycles underlying the evolutionary unfoldment of human consciousness. One is the "Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition" occurring in September 2009, which is the mid-point of transition in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle. The other is the "Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization" occurring in September 2009, which marks the start of a new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle. This entire scenario is outlined and discussed in this article.
Our Juno-Uranus Last Quarter Moon on the cusp of sidereal Pisces conjoins the Circlet of stars creating the head of the western fish of Pisces. This is just a degree or two past the same location as the Mars-Uranus synodic cycle, which began in the April 24, 2009 lunar cycle. Lying north of the circlet and marking this Piscian cusp is Matar, on the left forearm of Pegasus, which marks the gush point in the zodiak. Matar is from Al Sa‘d al Matar--the Fortunate Rain--Matar articulates our movement from high mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius to the wet sensual palpable and emotional world of Pisces and the aquatics.
Our June 15, 2009 Last quarter Moon's inner need to initiate change invites us to get out of our heads and to palpate what feels right in our relationships, to honor our gut feelings and to interrelate from that feeling and to initiate making any changes in our lives that may be appropriate. With no doubt, as stated above, this marks the time for radical changes in our relations to begin. More about Juno and Juno related issues.

Surrounding the Balsamic Moon of August 16-17, the Earth-Jupiter, Earth-Chiron and Earth-Neptune Synods occur. This is when, from Earth's view, the Sun opposes each of these planets. From the Sun's view, the Sun and Earth align with each of these planets, which defines the synods. The Earth-Jupiter synod occurs on August 14. The Earth-Chiron synod occurs on August 16, just before the Balsamic Moon, and the Earth-Neptune synod occurs on August 17, just after the Balsamic Moon. Since Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune conjoin, I will refer to this as one event, and one compounded synodic cycle.
This synodic event marks a primary turning in the Jupiter-Neptune (Chiron) conjunction, which began on May 27 2009 and continues through December 21, 2009. Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune nest around the cusp of sidereal Aquarius, currently all retrograde (Earth-planet synods occur during a planet's retrograde. See Synodic Cycles & Planetary Retrogrades.)
The first Jupiter-Neptune conjunction was discussed in the May 24, 2009 Lunar Planner. The second Jupiter-Neptune conjunction of July 10, 2009 was mentioned in the June 22, 2209 Lunar Planner. The Jupiter-Neptune several month conjunction embraces the start of a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle occurring on September 19, 2009, a cycle that continues into 2022. The September Jupiter-Neptune synod is a primary event occurring along with two other very significant events--the midpoint of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle and the Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake alignment (a synodic opposition). You can see why September 2009 marks "the transition" or "turning in the planetary cycles occurring from late 2008 through early 2011.
The Earth -Jupiter -Chiron -Neptune (Earth-JCN ) synodic cycle starting now embraces the ending of the previous Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle and the start of the next. In this context, this Earth-JCN cycle (about a year long) is of completion and of a new beginning. Completion of what exactly? The previous Jupiter-Neptune cycle started on December 24, 1996, so consider what was occurring at that time in your life--particularly with any Jupiter-Neptune related themes; i.e., mobilization and expansion of dreams and visions, etc). We are now (2009) being motivated to mobilize new dreams and visions--specifically those of a Chironic character---that lead from the conforming bounds of the past, across a bridge, and into a radically new and alternative future. This does not necessarily mean abandonment of the past dreams and visions, but expanding into an entirely new Jupiter-Neptune octave of experience.
The previous Jupiter-Neptune cycle that started in 1996 occurred at ~3° sidereal Capricorn. The first couple of degrees of sidereal Capricorn bring to sobering light the reality of translating and applying our high visionary ideals and embracing principles common to earlier Sagittarius and Lyra into concretized practical form in the physical world. Here we have the support to actualize our ideals, but we are also faced with the aberrations or distortions of those ideals when doing so.
These first few degrees of Capricorn can also involve areas of all esoteric sciences, as well as the secret places and orders associated with those artsciences--places of personal retreat, seclusion, hermitages--places strategic to one's purpose. We also have support to identify and move to such places as well. The first few degrees of Capricorn can also be of magic, hermeticism, esoterics, and religion.
Early Capricorn is of a personal focus, more about self-accomplishment, personal desires, and the cloaks and facades we wear or present in the world. It is of an exclusive nature and is militaristic and of domination.
The next Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle starting in September 2009 occurs exactly on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius, conjoining Sadr, the heart of the Swan. Although I will discuss this more in-depth when the time comes, this next 12.7 year cycle will embody the essence humanitarianism, with an inclusive rather than exclusive focus common to the previous cycle. This new cycle will be of vision and innovation for the future well being of Humanity.
For those who wish to explore the nesting of synodic cycles: The previous Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle (Dec 24, 1996) was the first to occur in the new ~172-year Uranus-Neptune cycle that began on April 22 1993 (conjoined Lyra in late sidereal Sag). The first Jupiter-Uranus cycle in the Uranus-Neptune cycle began on March 28, 1997.
The Earth-Neptune-Chiron part of the Earth-JCN synodic cycle starting now on this August 2009 Balsamic Moon continues for about one year (into August 2010). At that time another Earth-Neptune-Chiron cycle will begin because Chiron and Neptune remain conjoined, of course this will occur a couple of degrees further along in sidereal Aquarius. The Earth-Jupiter part of the Earth-JCN synodic cycle will continue through September 21, 2010. At that time Jupiter will have joined Uranus (presented above) and a new compounded Earth-Jupiter-Uranus will begin (the synodic synchronization), which marks the "mobilization of change" in the 2008-2011 planetary cycles.

Added September 2009 - The Turning
The Sept 2, 2009 Uranus-Saturn 44-year synodic
cycle midpoint, a cycle that began on June 9, 1988.
In the midst of the five Saturn Uranus Oppositions, and just before the Earth-Saturn-Uranus "Synodic Opposition" of mid-September 2009, Saturn and Uranus reside in exact opposite parts of the zodiak as seen from the Sun. This alignment, occurring on Sept 2, 2009 marks the midpoint of the Vision and Realization in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle that began on June 9, 1988.
The five Saturn-Uranus oppositions, and the associated Earth-Saturn and Earth-Uranus synodic cycles occurring throughout this time, nest within this more embracing 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle. The theme of this cycle is of utmost significance as well as the events surrounding its start date. This embracing cycle reveals yet another level of context underlying the years upon us.
The theme of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle is defined by the stellar alignments at 04°07' sidereal Sagittarius. This is within a one degree orb of the "Gate of God," the primary north galactic equatorial node (N-GEN). The Gate of God is the primary fiducial (reference point) in the Cycle of Earth's Precessional Cross; making this specific Saturn-Uranus cycle one of the most significant in world history. This specific Saturn-Uranus cycle not only conjoins The Gate of God, it also occurs during the 270° square in the ~25,000-year Cycle of the Holy Cross (when Earth's vernal axis is perpendicular to the galactic equatorial axis in the ecliptic).
Consider what you were doing in 1988, what was occurring in the world, and the transitions you were making in your life, as this entire lunar cycle (August 20, 2009 - September 18, 2009) can bring vision and revelation regarding it. The upcoming "Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition" (Sept 15-17 2009) and the start of the new "Juno-Uranus synodic cycle" nest around this longer cycle's major transition point, all of which occur over the days ahead.

For those who have the Planetary Bio-Harmonics Audio Meditations, September 1 through September 17 is an ideal time to work with the Saturn and Uranus audio meditations. An Excerpt from the August 20, 2009 Lunar Planner (for subscribers) :
"Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have been conjoining in the latter few degrees of sidereal Capricorn, at the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius. The first Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction was presented the April 25, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Beneficence - The Crossing Begins." It was triggered by the Last Quarter Moon of the April lunar cycle, which initiated a several month period with a mobilizing, expansive, optimistic and opportunistic force to create and cross a Chironic bridge across the Saturn-Uranus abyss (opposition).
Now, in the midst of their retrogrades, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune will begin new and compounded synodic cycles (Jupiter-Chiron Sept 4 / Jupiter-Neptune Sept 19). Jupiter and Chiron begin their new synodic cycle on Sept 4, hours after the Full Moon, on our day of realization in the lunar cycle. Jupiter and Neptune will began thier new 12.7-year synodic cycle on the following New Moon.
This compounded Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune synodic cycle is another reason why September 2009 creates a primary turning or transition. The Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune 2009 cycles are quite significant. They occur 30° away from Uranus (Aquarius-Pisces cusp). The 30° aspect (semi-sextile) provides and opportunity for growth. Harmonically, these are two energetics that want to ally in strength.
The several month Jupiter-Chiron conjunction and the synod occurring now are also quite significant because of Chrion's harmonic relationship with Saturn and Uranus. Chiron's orbit is highly eccentric. At its perihelion (closest point to the Sun), it lies just inside the orbit of Saturn. At its aphelion (farthest point from the Sun), it lies close to the orbit of Uranus. Thus, two significant "orbital harmonic resonances" occur, linking Chiron with Saturn and Uranus. For this reason, Chiron creates a bridge, way, or link between the realms of Saturn and Uranus--from the old, established, concretized, stoic realm of Saturn to the new, unconventional radical, electrical, spontaneous realm of Uranus. As we move outward in our solar (system's) consciousness, we move from Saturn to Uranus. Uranus breaks us from the conformity of the past, opening us to new realms of possibility. Thus Chiron escorts us in this process, often helping to create the way across the Saturn-Uranus abyss. Chiron can indicate where personal healing or transmutation is required. More about Chiron.
This Jupiter-Chiron synod marks a primary shift in the midst of the bridge we are now crossing, a bridge that we are still forming over what may appear as a massive mysterious abyss. Jupiter's expansive and mobilizing force not only brings tremendous support and optimism to cross this bridge; but Jupiter will move to conjoin Uranus starting in June of 2010. Jupiter will play a key role in the entire Makemake-Saturn-Uranus cycle from May 2010 through March 2011. Jupiter's presence will be responsible for the next major shift in the 2008-2011 timeline--creating the September 2010 Synodic Synchronization--"the mobilization of change."
This new Jupiter-Chiron synodic theme occurring now resides exactly on the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius, and is defined by the principle star Sadr of Cygnus, heart of the Swan (heart of the northern the galactic cross). The cusp of sidereal Aquarius is marked by the wing of Cygnus the Swan, which extends from Sadr, the heart of the Swan, to Gienah, the tip of the wing. We also have the Veil (Lacework) Nebula residing on the wing near Gienah.
This point in the ecliptic is where we are motivated to strip off the cloaks of personality-based facades and shenanigans to reveal true heart-level self and to live from our deeper hearts' truth for the greater nourishment of all. Sadr, the heart, and Gienah, the wing of Cygnus, lifts us from a self-centered exclusive focus to a more embracing and inclusive level of participation. This marks the start of the true humanitarian facet of the zodiak.
To live a lie in attempt to protect others from their own emotions is to deny others the opportunity for their own growth, as well as to deny our selves the opportunity to grow and change. This act lowers our resonance into a sympathetic vibration, which only perpetuates conditions we would really like to change. Living true to self is the real gift we have to offer each other. To be humanitarian is not about self-sacrifice or creating dependence, it is about living in our personal integrity and supporting others to do the same. From this stance we allow a natural spiral of creative growth to carry us forward into a new humanitarian-based era.
Also marking the cusp of sidereal Aquarius and conjoining Sadr of Cygnus is the Quasar 2134+004, which resides in Aquarius. This Quasar inspires us to enter deep within self and to bring forth our unique substance and soul essence that is of true value to each other and to the world, rather than projecting just superficial skin-deep appearances or false facades common to earlier sidereal Capricorn. Here we are motivated to demonstrate our capacity to participate with true humanitarian vision, with interest for all rather than for the manipulation of an exclusive few."
This many month Jupiter Neptune conjunction and the new Jupiter Neptune synodic theme is also significant because Jupiter will now start to move to through sidereal Aquarius as it makes its way to conjoin Uranus starting in May 2010 and continuing through early 2011, a time period where we will experience an expansive mobilization of the changes we are making now.
An Excerpt from the August 20, 2009 Lunar Planner (for subscribers) :
"Juno has been in a retrograde cycle conjoining Uranus, and is responsible for the massive and radical restructuring of relationships and partnerships of all types--those of a personal nature, in business and those political. This Juno-Uranus synod creates another of our major shifts catalyzing this September's turning. It occurs exactly on the Disseminating Moon of September 8, 2009.
The new Juno-Uranus synod occurs exactly on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces in "the circlet" of Pisces, a circle of stars that marks the head of the western fish. Here we cross the cusp into the palpable wet emotional world of the masses and of life. Lying north of the circlet and marking this Piscean cusp is the Matar on the left forearm of Pegasus, which marks the gush point in the zodiak. Matar is from Al Sa‘d al Matar--the Fortunate Rain--which articulates movement from high mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius, and the vulnerability to psychic manipulation and entrapment that living in the mind alone can cause, exemplified by the Zetas of Reticuli, which mark the end of Aquarius, to the wet sensual emotional world of Pisces.
This new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year cycle moves us from the intellectual gymnastic head-tripping that had been occurring amongst relations to one that is driven from a feeling / gut level--thankfully. This new cycle should help get us in touch with what really matters.
Juno's retrograde conjoining Uranus and opposing Makemake and Saturn is also squaring Pluto, which began on July 10. The second Juno-Pluto square occurs on September 11, 2009. Juno, Pluto and Saturn will then make a dramatic T-square on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010, bringing this period of restructuring for relationships to a climatic finale. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. In addition, the Moon will oppose Pluto on December 31, 2009, fulfilling this T-square to create a Grand Square--to be discussed in the December 16, 2009 Lunar Planner." (Excerpt below added Dec 23, 2009)

The last phase of the August 20, 2009 lunar cycle embodies the grand event of our September transition, the "Earth-Makemake-Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition," which propels us across a major threshold in this few year timeline. This event occurs immediately following the Balsamic Moon of September 15, 2009, which conjoins the asteroid Vesta and Praesepe, the Beehive star cluster in Cancer--inspiring a future focus of clarity of purpose for our emergence from the darkness, dogma and delusion of the past.
This "Makemake-Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition," occurring on September 15-17, 2009, marks the coincidence of several synchronous events created by a compounded planetary alignment (Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake). One event is the third of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions--as seen from Earth.
From the Sun's view, Earth and Uranus conjoin which marks the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. The theme of this Earth-Uranus is defined by the same stars defining the Juno-Uranus synod that occurred on September 8--at the cusp of sidereal Pisces. This also completes Uranus' passage through sidereal Aquarius, as Uranus now makes its complete transition into wet, sensual, sensitive and emotional sidereal Pisces.
From Earth's view, the Sun, Saturn and Makemake conjoin. This means that both Saturn and Makemake are exactly half-way though their respective synodic cycles with Earth. The Earth-Saturn cycle is 278 days long and the Earth-Makemake cycle is about one year long. This is the climax point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Saturn synodic cycle that started on March 8, 2009 (producing a lot of hot air, foul winds, dramatic racket and fiery commotion, but which are mere diversionary tactics intended to distract the masses from the real issues at hand); and the midpoint of realization in the Earth-Makemake one year cycle. It is rather unique that not only the midpoints of these cycles coincide, but that they also coincide with the new Earth-Uranus synod.
Of utmost significance is the start of a new 32-year Saturn-Makemake synodic cycle--catalyzing a major turning in the restructuring of the global economic paradigm. We can definitely consider this event to initiate the development of an entirely new economic structure as well as a new economic administration. (Learn more about Makemake.) Although the Saturn-Uranus oppositions continue into 2010, and the Uranus oppositions to Makemake continue into 2011, the September Synodic Opposition marks a primary turning or transition in the dynamic of this nearly two-year long Saturn-Uranus series of oppositions as well as in this entire 2008-2011 timeline.
The Saturn Makemake synod occurs on September 27, 2009 (slightly after the Saturn-Uranus synodic opposition and in the following lunar cycle) on the cusp of sidereal Virgo. I've presented the overal context of this area of the zodiak above, in the Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle section above. Primarily of interest here, and setting the theme of this new 32-year cycle, is Benatnash, the tip of the Bear's tail, the embodiment of the old totalitarian world powers; and Cor Caroli, the Alpha star of Canes Venatici, the barking hounds, along with M51, the giant whirlpool galaxy in Ursa Major, all of which articulate the diversionary tactics and grand spectacle produced by the totalitarian powers. Zavijava of Virgo, conjoining Benetnash, is of the blind followers of the Benetnash directive, those deluded by the diversionary global spectacle. In the southern heavens is Antilia, the hot air pump, fueling the fire and swirling the smoke that is common to such tactics. For those with the perception to look through such diversionary tactics, they wil find Alkes of Crateris, the cup of salvation; and further south is the sail of Argo Navis, and Avior in Carina, upon the keel of the Argo.

Argo Navis, lying along the galactic plane, articulates the nature of the soul collective's greater evolutionary journey--as in the story of Jason and the Argonauts and in the Sumerain story of Gilgamesh and his fifty Sirian warriors. The stars of Vela (Velorum), the sail of the Argo, are of the transcendent energies and winds that drive souls' evolutionary journey--currents transcendent to the dramatics of the terrestrial incarnational world. The stars of Carina, the keel, are of guidance, navigation, and direction. Avior, one of the principal stars of our new Saturn-Makemake synodic theme, embodies the underlying spiritual truth and wisdom that guides us to our greater fulfillment and well being, a truth far hidden from the ego-driven wanna-be spiritual-political self-proclaimed authorities who spout principles they do not live. Avior also articulates the true spiritual sage, one who often time is found behind the scenes simply living their spiritual truth, transcendent to the smoke and follies common to the global stage. These wise people are often those working with transcendent currents that influence the surface world in genuine and beneficial ways--those who make a real difference but who haven't the need to at a personality level.
As implied, the Leo-Virgo cusp produces quite a mixed energetic as we leave the diversionary confusion and foul breezes common to late sidereal Leo and move toward the influence of the Virgin. Early sidereal Virgo is about the preparation and purification of self to serve our greatest well being and achieve our highest evolutionary potential. On a mundane level, Virgo is of hard work; is health conscious and methodical in development and progress; creating order, continuity and stability; new beginnings, cultivation and harvest. Virgo is the sign of agriculture and of our environment; with a meticulous, organized nature and strong focus in communication and logistics.
Note Makemake's path through the northern heavens as this is of utmost significance. Makemake has recently entered Coma Berenicies, the Crown of the Virgin--having just crossed and conjoined the Gamma star of Coma. Coma Berenicies embodies our spiritual essence and soul guidance. The North Galactic Pole (NGP) resides in Coma (5° sidereal Virgo). This is the northern point of the polar axis around which our entire galaxy spins. The NGP defines a principle geometric relationship between our ecliptic plane and our galaxy. Astrologically, the North Galactic Pole brings confidence, stability, and guidance for the greater evolutionary purpose, mission and fulfillment for our entire soul collective.
Saturn is of structure, form, concretization, establishment and stability. Makemake is audacious, brave, adventurous an of leadership. Makemake's influence appears to be one associated with the administration of material support, financial resources, and ensuring that the basic needs of the people are met. Makemake's passage through Coma (as it approaches the North Galactic Pole) brings attention to our need to administer our resources based upon the messages provided from the natural world around us and from higher spiritual principles, rather from geed and lust. Thus this new Saturn-Makemake cycle initiates the re-structuring of our economic paradigm--and very much in the arena of the old totalitarian world powers and in the midst of their diversionary dramatics--from an entirely new level of conscious awareness. And let us keep in mind that this Saturn-Makemake synod lies in opposition to the Earth-Uranus synod, which marks the start of the new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle; with Uranus and Earth challenging a rather radical extreme change in our economic paradigm and its administrative system with future vision and a much higher intelligence.
We are of course in mid-stream of this few-year radical transition, with a rather dynamic year (2010) ahead, as dismantling Pluto will soon begin to play a significant role, but the nature of this new Saturn-Makemake synod and its opposition to the Earth-Uranus synod lends significant insight into where the underlying evolutionary currents are attempting to lead humanity.
Excerpt from the October 18, 2009 Lunar Planner (for subscribers) :
Saturn creates its first square with Saturn on November 15, 2009. Their second square occurs on January 31, 2010. During this time, the two maintain a very tight orb, of about 1°. In the midst of this period, at the end of 2009, Juno, asteroid of covenant relations, will make its final square with Pluto during the Pluto station; and at the same time will oppose Saturn, making a dramatic T-square with Saturn and Pluto on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010, bringing the period of restructuring for relationships to a climatic finale. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. The third Saturn-Pluto square occurs on August 21, 2010.
A new and potent dynamic starts to build in our timeline as Pluto enters the picture on November 15, 2009 with this first Saturn-Pluto square. The intensity of this first square begins a few weeks before November 15; i.e., Saturn moves into a 3° orb in its square with Pluto on October 11, 2009; into a 2° orb on October 20, 2009; and into a 1° orb on November 1, 2009.
This is a 270° square (in contrast to a 90° square). This means that Saturn is approaching its next synod with Pluto rather than moving away from its previous Saturn-Pluto synod.
Pluto, the opener and great reducer motivates action to participate and cooperate from an all embracing, non-discriminatory world view, rather then from a self-focused, or self-important world view.
The actual 270° Saturn-Pluto (heliocentric) square of the synodic cycle occurs on June 11, 2010 (in the midst of the three geocentric squares). This is a couple degrees past Spica and Archturus (the New Moon stars defining the October 18, 2009 Lunar Cycle, in which this first square occurs), at the upper thighs of the Virgin. It conjoins Izar of Boötes and conjoining stars. Consider what you were doing in December 1982 and what was occurring in the world, as this is a time for change regarding that theme--a time of plowing under the crops and tilling the soil; a time of shedding the dismantling the stage props and personal facades of that entire synodic cycle.
The Saturn-Pluto 32-year Synodic Cycle theme is presented in detail in the article:
An excerpt:
Saturn in general, is of restriction, limitation, established structures, those physical, administrative, and those of consciousness. These structures, paradoxically, can be supportive, but they can also be experienced as barriers to progress and restricting our freedom unless they change and evolve as the changing times require. Pluto is about use of power and about our inner transformation regarding our responsibility to change, to address our patterns of behavior that keep us entrapped, and regarding how we participate in society.
A Saturn Pluto synthesis in general demands that we make an inner transformation regarding our own use of power in order to move beyond the external authoritarian imposed control and restriction that we may experience in our lives. This can be a hard lesson until we learn that the change required is one we need to make on the inside before the release of restriction occurs on the outside. Thus the Saturn-Pluto cycle is one demanding an evolution in the very structure of our consciousness. It demands we evolve our capacity to become increasingly more responsible with our use of power.
A Saturn Pluto synthesis is also about the administration and control of power and the structure through which those in power function; as well as overthrows or turnings in authoritarian systems of power and in their administration. The systems of power emerging in 1982 are thus of significance, and we will be making the 270° point of transition / change occurring in this cycle in 2009-2010, and completing the cycle in 2020.
This synod occurs in early sidereal Libra (2° 36') under the skirt of the Virgin... Saturn-Pluto theme continues...
When exploring the theme of the 1982 Saturn-Pluto synod, we can see that this 2010 270° turning (which starts with an inner need to change in the few years leading into the June 2010 synodic square) marks the time of (plowing under the crops) dismantling the structure of the current administrative system of power and control. It marks a time of removing the facades and exposing the real players and issues behind the stage setting. This occurs in the synodic theme defined by early sidereal Libra, at the thighs of the Virgin and "under the skirt of the Virgin." This is about the political, religious figureheads, hidden agendas and specifically about whether our current administrative system governing power creates the environmental conditions that ensure the emergence of a new consciousness on Earth, and is one that creates a societal modality that supports the healthy evolution of that new emerging consciousness.
As presented in previous articles, Pluto passage through sidereal Sagittarius, which began in 2006; as Pluto crosses Galactic Center and Gate of Good, suggests that Pluto will begin to shifts its role in our lives--as opener to a greater truth, to galactic level awareness; to that which the Zen Archer stands for. This 270° Saturn-Pluto square supports the disintegration of man-made structural facades that cover-up the real truth underlying the shenanigans of humankind. Pluto in Sag ensures this greater and more durative truth will not be stifled.
Consider the December 1982 generation, as this year (2010) marks a primary change in their personal cycles, especially in the structure of consciousness. Also consider those experiencing significant Saturn aspects, such as a Saturn return, Saturn opposition, squares; as well as aspects with Pluto. For example, a person that is ~29 or ~59 of age now (2009-2010) is going through a Saturn Return, and thus has Pluto square that return. A going through Saturn opposition is also experiencing a very potent Saturn-Pluto-natal Saturn T-square. Similarly, a person going through a Saturn square is also experiencing potent T-square--just a few examples. We can see this is a very dynamic time for many people and for specific generations--a time of revolution and drastic change in the personal lives of many. The threshold of change for these people will occur after June of 2010. It will mark the break away point; and the decade to follow will be one cultivating the ground for a new administrative system of power to emerge in 2020.
This article explores the historical events occurring in the previous Saturn-Pluto Synodic cycles and during the primary phase changes occurring within those cycles, like the 270° square occurring in 2009-2010; see the article:
The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1851-2020.
December 24, 2009 through January 1, 2010
Introduction
The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square is the grand finale event of the recent several-month "restructuring of relationships"--a radical transition that has been occurring in relationships of all types, those of a personal nature, and those of business and politics. (See the above section: Relationships in Transition.) The grand finale of December 2009 occurs due to a dynamic T-square created by the asteroid Juno and the already occurring Saturn-Pluto square, which recently began in November 2009. The T-square will be initially triggered on the First Quarter Moon of Decmber 24, 2009 as the Sun conjoins Pluto and the Moon conjoins Juno opposite Saturn. This will create a dynamic "external stimulus to action." The T-square will continue through the Gibbous Moon as Venus conjoins Pluto, and then through the Full Moon eclipse of December 31 and into the "day of realization," which occurs just after the Full Moon, on January 1, 2010. A "T-square" is like a cross-bow, one that must fire. In this case it is Pluto that is firing right through the already occurring "restructuring of relationships." This finale creates an opening, one that demands we let go and live true to heart. With this heart-driven momentum, relationships will then move into a new octave of experience. Some will end, while others, more appropriate for the future, will begin; and some may just transform into a new octave of experience.

The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Our First Quarter Moon occurs on December 24 conjoining Juno, the asteroid of covenant relationships and mutual equality, in early sidereal Pisces, with the Moon-Juno conjunction opposite Saturn. At the same time, the Sun and Pluto conjoin; all of which kick off the Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square. This dynamic First Quarter Moon begins the explosive grand finale in the recent several-month period of "restructuring of relationships." This T-square will continue through January 1, 2010. Venus will trigger the T-square on the Gibbous Moon as Venus conjoins Pluto on December 27-28. Juno will make its exact square to Pluto on December 28, just after the Gibbous Moon. Juno will then make its exact opposition to Saturn the day after the Full Moon eclipse of December 31, 2009. Saturn and Pluto maintain a very tight square from mid-November 2009 through the entire month of January 2010. The Saturn-Pluto square will continue well into August 2010. More about Juno.

A "T-square" is like a cross-bow, one that must fire. In this case it is Pluto that is firing right through the already occurring "restructuring of relationships." This finale creates an "opening," one that demands we let go and live true to heart. With this heart-driven momentum, relationships will then move into a new octave of experience. Some will end, while others, more appropriate for the future, will begin; and some existing relationships may just transform into a new octave of experience.
The Sun-Pluto conjunction also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Pluto 367-day synodic cycle, which began on the Solstice New Moon of June 22-23, 2009. The theme of this cycle was defined by the Solar Apex in early sidereal Sagittarius and also involved the asteroid Vesta. The June 22, 2009 New Moon theme and the Earth-Pluto synodic theme is presented in the June 22, 2009 Lunar Planner.
In brief, the June 22 New Moon-Vesta theme occurring in sidereal Gemini (opposite Earth-Pluto) was about getting clear and focused in how we are participating in the world, to stand forth in cooperative action amongst colleagues and friends. The current Earth-Pluto cycle is one about relinquishing limiting beliefs and associated patterns of behavior that keep us from realizing and embracing the myriad of potential paths for our evolutionary fulfillment. Pluto addresses issues regarding our entrapment in the world and our responsibility to deal with the longer-term ramifications of our actions and life scenarios, our karma, extending beyond a mere lifetime. Pluto demands we address how we co-participate and cooperate with humankind in our daily lives. The Solar Apex embodies the unique and majestic path of the soul. At personal level, the Solar Apex invites us to realize that we each have a soul path that is totally unique to ourselves, a path that is beyond what others may see or even relate to. The Pluto-Solar Apex synodic cycle opens the way for those willing to relinquish paths that are less than those aligned with our true soul uniqueness.
Thus, we can see how the grand finale Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square occurring now, fits well into the current Pluto synodic theme, and why this may catalyze drastic yet opportunistic movement for relationships and partnerships of all types; and why the finale, starting on this First Quarter stimulus-to-action Moon may catapult relationships into a myriad of new directions. Venus' arrival to conjoin Pluto on the Gibbous Moon with further inspire passionate action driven from heart. The Venus-Pluto part of this T-square invites us to live true to heart--anything less is to live a lie.
Juno's placement during this T-square lies in emotional and psychically sensitive sidereal Pisces. Juno conjoins Diphda of Cetus; Eta Horologium; and Eta of Cepheus. These placements suggest that we may feel like relationships are in massive emotional turbulence, and that there is finite time to step forth from that turbulence into a greater personal truth, and into mutually compatible relationships that truly serve us to go forward through the times ahead. If we do not make the changes we know are right for us (regarding our relations and how we interrelate), the thrashing emotional waters may just intensify, or we may be forced to change, despite ourselves, thanks to Pluto. This area of the zodiak is one about sculpting our lives from the very primal essence of life. It is of water, the lymph, and our life fluids--of our life force or Chi (Xi) and its application.

Saturn (opposite Juno) lies in early sidereal Virgo, and conjoins Beta Coma Berenicies; Zaniah of Virgo and Turais of Carina, Argo Navis.
Zaniah, Eta Virgo, is an ecliptical star, less than 2° north in ecliptical latitude. Zaniah inspires the "right use of will" directed by soul-level impulses (Beta Coma Berenicies) and unadulterated by personality or egoic-level influences. Zaniah is also the Chinese "Left-hand Maintainer of Law" (Allen). Zaniah is of Virgin purity--being a clear vessel to know right action--also a feminine quality.
In the southern heavens lies Turais Carina and Phi Velorum, both of Argo Navis, which lies along the galactic equator, and thus is more associated with our longer-term soul-level sojourn and our evolutionary course.
Turais (Aspidiske) of the Argo is a rather rare white supergiant star that shines with a luminosity of 4900 of our suns, with a radius estimated to be about 43 times that of our sun. Turais lies along the gunwale in Carina, the hull of the Argo, under Velorum the sail.
Phi Velorum and the adjoining Pulsar P 0950 reside exactly on the Galactic Equator in the Sail (Velorum) of the Argo. Pulsars in general are beacons for the soul, and in this case, inspiring our attunement to the evolutionary currents beyond our incarnational moment, those of the greater evolutionary process itself. P-0950 has a pulse rate of 1.436551 seconds, which is a frequency of 0.696111729 Hz. Raised a few octaves, this translates to an Alpha brain wave frequency of 11.1377...Hz; and this translates both to infrared and violet wavelengths in the light spectrum. Thus, P-0950 links energy currents occurring in the spiritual realm (crown chakra) with the very root / earth primordial response (Earth Chakra--about a foot below our feet). This pulsar reminds us that to receive our spiritual guidance we must be grounded--like any good antenna.
Galactic Turais and Phi Velorum puts ecliptical Zaniah's "right use of will" into a greater evolutionary context, one with cosmic ramifications that extend throughout spacetime. Our acts of will are not isolated, cut off and limited to the moment itself, but extend into the past-future time-stream of the soul influencing the continuous cosmic currents in soul's greater evolutionary journey in ways that are unseen in the action moment.
Turais asks us to extend our awareness into this time-stream, while Zaniah inspires clear action in the moment from soul's and nature's guiding influence. Thus each action moment is one punctual droplet of many composing a continuous time-stream that formulates the path or wave upon which soul travels. Turais invites us to recognize our actions extend into and influence not only the nature of our own lives, but also the lives of others, effecting the meandering currents in an ocean of being. They set up resonances in spacetime that define the nature of experiences yet to come for our selves and in the evolutionary journey of all involved.
This is not to be confused with attempting to be responsible for others or to define their experience--which is a miss-use of will. The responsibility is for our active and conscious participation from the clarity of our spiritual soul-level guidance expressed in action. Turais demands we act from the awareness of our greater evolutionary journey and adds a sense of "cosmic responsibility" for what is "put into motion" through Zaniah's "right use of will."
Saturn is a concretizing and solidifying force. It is of structure, conformation and of establishing dependable and stable foundations. Saturn's placement here in Virgo invites us to apply personal will, now, responsibly and with conscious consideration for the long-term ramifications. This Saturn dynamic lies opposite the Juno' energetic in Pisces, which emotionally drives our need to sculpt our relationships (those personal) and partnerships (those of business and politics) in a way that lifts us from the trashing emotional waters we may find ourselves in. These two dynamics create the tension of this Cross-Bow; with Pluto (Sun-Venus), inspiring and demanding the expression of a greater integrity and truth in our relations. It is forcing relationships to mature, and thus to either break apart; restructure; or form anew.
Also occuring throughout this lunar cycle and into the next is the Eris-Lunar Nodes T-square. The Moon conjoins Eris on December 25-26, thus also squaring the Lunar Nodes. Mercury also conjoins the North Lunar Node, just as Mercury stations to begin its retrograde.....
The above text about the Juno-Pluto-Saturn grand Finale T-square is from the December 16, 2009 Lunar Planner (for subscribers). If you are not a subscriber but to like to be, you can Subscribe to the Monthly Lunar Planner here.
Earth and Saturn begin a new 378-day synodic cycle on the March Equinox of 2010. The theme of this synodic cycle is defined by the stars in early sidereal Virgo, and will be presented in detail in the March 15, 2010 Lunar Planner. The New Moon of this lunar month, just across the cusp of sidereal Pisces, conjoins Mercury and Uranus, making the lunar theme starting March 15, 2010 of extra significance. Thus, this new Earth-Saturn synodic cycle begins in a lunar cycle predominately influenced by Uranus--a lunar cycle supporting a radical break from the conformity of the past.

The completing gate, consisting of the fourth and fifth oppositions occurs in mid-2010.
In the midst of the forth and fifth oppositions, Jupiter joins Uranus stimulating radical movement and expansion.

The closing opposition completes the Saturn-Uranus challenge. This event precedes the forthcoming Earth-Jupiter-Uranus "Synodic Synchronization," which fully mobilizes the changes that have occurred since the Saturn-Uranus series of oppositions began in November of 2008.
The Sun, Earth, Jupiter and Uranus align on September 19-21, 2010. Not only does Earth begin its new annual synodic cycles with Jupiter and Uranus, but Jupiter and Uranus also begin their new 13.5-year synodic cycle in early sidereal Pisces. This new cycle continues through March 13, 2024. The previous Jupiter-Uranus cycle began in March 28, 1997 in sidereal Capricorn (~10°)--the cycle we are now completing. This previous cycle began just after and within the first part of the new Uranus-Neptune 172-year synodic cycle that began in 1993 under the auspices of Lyra, Harp of the Angels.
More to come....
Uranus and Pluto will make their 90° synodic square on November 30, 2013; with their lengthy geocentric square occurring from June 24, 2012 through March 16, 2015. this is a 90° square (external stimulus to action) in the ~138-year Uranus-Pluto synodic cycle that began on January 11, 1966. This synod coincided with the mid-point of the Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle that began on August 22, 1947--creating a compounded synodic alignment (Saturn-Sun-Uranus-Pluto).
The January 1966 compounded synod (Uranus-Pluto and the Saturn-Pluto mid-point) occurred at the peak of the Vietnam War; with Uranus and Pluto nesting in the hind of the Loin, between toxic Zosma and Denebola, the tail of the Lion, and conjoining fiery Mizar of Ursa Major. More about this can be found in the article: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020.
I will write a separate article about the 2012-2015 Uranus-Pluto square as we approach it; as the cycles occurin in this 2008-2011 timeline feed into the 2012-2015 Uranus-Pluto square.
