Uranus

A dynamic timeline of planetary alignments, including Uranus, Saturn, Makemake, Juno, Jupiter and Pluto, occurs from mid-2008 through 2011.

As we explore this timeline, we will see a progression of planetary alignments that start with a dramatic challenge but that will eventually lead to a radically expansive change in our lives and in our world.

There are two primary shifts in this timeline. One occurs in September 2009; the other in September 2010. The First I term "The Turning": and the second I term "The Mobilization of Change."

As most people are aware, 2009 produced a rather intense and uncertain time, with many changes continuing to occur in our lives and in our global economy since this timeline started in 2008. 2009 will complete with a catalytic planetary configuration creating many changes in relationships and partnerships of all types, and propel us into another very dynamic and intense year. 2010 will herald a powerful opening catalyzed by Pluto as it takes a prominent role in this timeline. Jupiter will then mobilize and expand upon the radical changes upon us as it allies with Uranus and opposes Makemake and Saturn, ultimately to produce an emergence from a tremendous transition in human consciousness and in our global economic paradigm in 2011.

We are exploring long term planetary cycles in this article and the transitions occurring within those cycles.

About Synodic Cycles

Synodic cycles are created when two (or more) planets align in their orbits around the Sun. The synodic cycle theme, defined by the planets involved and the star alignments at the time, will unfold until the two planets align again, marking the completion of the synodic cycle and the beginning of the next one.

There are many synodic cycles with unique astrological themes occurring simultaneously creating a harmonic symphony of creative unfoldment in consciousness. Synodic cycles can be thought of as longer-term underlying currents, much like the backdrop chorus of a symphony, providing the underlying astrological context guiding our evolution.

Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh) and Uranus kicked off events in mid-2008. The Makemake-Uranus opposition occurring from mid-2008 through January 2011 is the longer term and underlying planetary alignment in this timeline. It seems clear that Makemake has a significant influence in global events occurring throughout this time.

Saturn and Uranus create five oppositions occurring from November 4, 2008 through July 26, 2010, and these surround the mid-point of revelation in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle occurring in September 2009.

Juno, the asteroid of covenant relations, joins Uranus in the latter half of 2009 through early 2010, catalyzing radical change for personal relationships as well as partnerships of all sorts, including those of business and politics. The Juno-Uranus alignment culminates on Dec 31, 2009 through January 1, 2010 with a dynamic T-square involving Saturn and Pluto. This 2009 finale propels us from the intensity of 2009 into the power house of 2010.

A new energetic starts to build as Pluto enters the picture on November 15, 2009 when it starts its square with Saturn, and then with Jupiter. Majestic and expansive Jupiter allies with Uranus from mid-2010 through early 2011, mobilizing and expanding the radical change that is well underway. Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn create a catalyzing and potent T-square that starts to form in late July 2010 and culminates when it fires from August 16-21, 2010. This propels us forth as if being shot through a stretch in the fabric of space and time. September 2010 through January brings us an extended alignment with Uranus and Makemake, one similar to that which started all of this in 2008; except now and with the primary influence of Jupiter, we will find ourselves perched upon an entirely new and far more expansive level of awareness.

Exploring the 2008 - 2011 Timeline

Setting the Stage

Makemake & Uranus
- In Search of the Golden Egg (2008)

Makemake clearly plays a principal role in the Saturn-Uranus Opposition. In fact, after exploring Makemake's aspects with Saturn, Uranus, Juno and Jupiter occurring from mid-2008 through January 2011, it became clear that Makemake has a very significant role in the global financial crisis as well as with its transition that started to avalanche in mid-2008, specifically regarding the power plays amongst those seeking dominance over resources.

Uranus and Makemake enter into an opposition that lasts from mid-2008 through January 2011. This opposition is of extreme significance not only because it underwrites this entire timeline, but also because it lends tremendous insight into those in positions of power within the global economic paradigm. The Uranus-Makemake opposition should shake up and create radical change for those in authoritarian positions, or perhaps it may impel radical moves to gain or maintain positions of power through the dominance of resources. The first mid-2008 conjunction might be thought of as the back stage preparation for the dramatics to follow. This first conjunction, centering in June 2008, occurs as both Uranus and Makemake station, and due to this, their exact aspect sustains itself for several weeks and remains in a tight orb for about three months in mid-2008.

Makemake-Uranus Opposition September 2008

Snapshot of the timeline showing the Uranus-Makemake extended opposition in 2008. Makemake & Uranus both station in exact opposition for weeks. They continue to weave their opposition through January 2011.

Uranus and Makemake maintained their opposition within a 1° orb from most of May through July; a 2° orb from mid-April through most of August; and a 3° orb from the beginning of April through the first week of September 2008, at which time a catalyzing and extended Mercury-Venus-Mars conjunction occurred triggering a Jupiter-Saturn aspect and the Full Moon Uranus Synod of September 12-13, 2008 (shown in the graphic ephemeris to the right). This led to the Mercury sation-Mars conjunction opposite Eris and "The Great Deception of September 25, 2008." (presented below)

Makemake

Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh - "e" is pronounced "ay" in Polynesian) is the Polynesian name for the creator god of humanity in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Makemake was discovered on March 31, 2005. Makemake's astrological influence is still exploratory due to its recent discovery. Based upon an exploration of Makemake s orbital parameters and its role during the 2008-2011 economic turn, Makemake appears to bring attention to leadership issues regarding the administration of resources; and in areas involving economics, ecology and human survival. Makemake may also impel strategic planning and enterprising action to create environmental conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for groups or for the people in general. Makemake impels audacious action, risk taking and extraordinary feats of personal accomplishment. Makemake may also act to sort out those who are truly worthy of being in a leadership role from those who are not. More about Makemake.

Uranus of course stimulates our need to break from the conforming bounds of the past, and inspires new thought and discovery—expanding from Saturn's realm of the established past. Uranus is of higher mind, illumination, spontaneity, and brings radical and unexpected change.

Oppositions are much like a relationship between two people. It helps to think of the unique energetic or dance occurring between the two, rather than just single elements alone. Although oppositions raise questions and can create uncertainly and even contention, they provide perspective and stimulate our growth by creating an opportunity for realization about how the two interrelate. Oppositions are actually the climatic mid-point of vision and realization in the synodic cycle created by the two planets.

After this rather extraordinary Uranus-Makemake planetary resonance kicking things off in 2008, Uranus and Makemake weave their opposition through January of 2011, making five additional exact oppositions. Makemake not only dances with Uranus throughout this several-year period, but also with all of the other planets involved in this timeline.

This few-year series of Uranus-Makemake oppositions center around the actual heliocentric Uranus-Makemake opposition which occurs on December 10, 2009. The heliocentric opposition stretches for such a long period from a geocentric view because of Makemake's very slow movement. This event marks the midpoint of vision and realization in the very-long 54.5-year cycle that began around July 1, 1955. The Uranus-Makemake synod occurred in early sidereal Cancer, which set the the theme for their cycle. Conjoining stars include Procyon of Canis Minor and Alsciaukat of the Lynx. Makemake was at 19° north sceptical latitude in the Lynx and at +39° declination. The Uranus-Makemake geocentric conjunction occurred in 1954 and 1955. Jupiter mobilized this energetic in late 1954 as it made its conjunctions and synods with Uranus and Makemake. Exploring world events, world economy and economic-political leadership of 1954-55 and after would be of value to gain additional insight into that which is occurring now. Anyone with input can post their thoughts on the Lunar Planner Forum.

Of signifcance and fitting to the theme of Procyon was the Warsaw Treaty Organization (Warsaw Pact of 1955), an alliance set up under a mutual defense treaty signed in Warsaw, Poland by Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Soviet Union. This was the Soviet bloc's equivalent of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

"Expansion was the keynote of economic change in 1955 in the industrially developed private enterprise economies. In western Europe, it represented a continuation of a sharply rising trend in production. Industrial output reached a record high level and the rate of expansion for western Europe as a whole was higher than in the two preceding years. In North America, following a recession during 1953/54, the recovery in the industrial production in 1955 raised output beyond the peak post-war level attained during the first half of 1953.... 1955 was a year of marked recovery from the previous recession...." (United Nations Economic Survey 1955. Part II Current economic developments - PDF)

1955 was also the time of the Pluto-Haumea synod occurring in early sidereal Leo, under the head of the Lion, which may also have been of significance.

The next (geocentric) Uranus-Makemake opposition occurs on April 11, 2008, after the opening Saturn-Uranus opposition which occurs from November 4, 2008 through February 5, 2009 (discussed below).

Makemake Juno Uranus & Saturn 2009

Snapshot of the timeline showing Juno's aspects and Makemake's one time conjunction with Saturn. The Saturn-Makemake geocentric conjunction occurred on Sept 20, 2009. The Saturn-Makemake synod occurred a few days later on Sept 27 under the auspices of Benetnash of the Great Bear (old totalitarian world powers), initiating the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake synodic cycle (to complete in 2041).

Upon the World Stage

Saturn & Uranus
The Opening Act (Nov 4, 2008 - February 5 2009)

The first two of the five Saturn-Uranus oppositions occur on Nov 4, 2008 and February 5 2009. This produces the opening act upon the world stage and presents the Saturn-Uranus opposition issue: The new, radical, unconventional and higher-intelligence that inherently wants to break from the conformity of the past (Uranus) stands in opposition to the long-established, conventional, and stoic (Saturn).

Note that the US Presidential election occurred on November 4, 2008, on the first Saturn-Uranus opposition. From a more embracing context, consider that that which occurs on the global stage articulates or dramatizes that which is occurring in collective consciousness—in each of our very lives. This election dramatized these two facets of collective consciousness and their related issues embodied by all of humanity. Independent of who was chosen in this election, either way the same dance and transition in our world paradigm and in collective consciousness would continue to unfold, with either electorial having to embrace the entwining dance of Makemake Saturn and Uranus over the years ahead.

The Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition (September 15-17, 2009)

Juno, Uranus, Makemake, Saturn and Pluto

The third Saturn-Uranus opposition, occurring on September 15-17, 2009, marks the coincidence of several events creating the "Makemake-Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition." This event consists of a compounded planetary alignment (Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake). From the Sun's view, Earth and Uranus conjoin which marks the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. From Earth's view, the Sun Saturn and Makemake conjoin. This means that both Saturn and Makemake are exactly half-way though their respective synodic cycles with Earth. The Earth-Saturn cycle is 278 days long and the Earth-Makemake cycle is about one year long. This is the climax point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Saturn synodic cycle and the Earth-Makemake cycle. It is rather unique that not only the midpoints of these cycles coincide, but that they also coincide with the new Earth-Uranus synod. This synodic opposition thus marks a primary turning or transition in the dynamic of this nearly two-year long Saturn-Uranus series of oppositions.

The Midpoint of the 44-year Saturn Uranus Synodic Cycle (Sept 2, 2009)

In addition to the Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition, the mid-point of "vision and realization" in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle occurs when Saturn, the Sun and Uranus align. This occurs on September 2, 2009. This much longer cycle began on June 9, 1988 within a one degree orb of the "Gate of God," the primary fiducial (reference point) in the Earth's Precessional Cross; making this specific Saturn-Uranus cycle one of the most significant in world history. Consider what you were doing in 1998 and what was occurring in the world, as September 2009 should bring vision and revelation about it.

Jupiter Chiron & Neptune: Another reason why September 2009 creates a primary turning or transition is due to the start of a new Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune synodic cycle (Jupiter-Chiron Sept 4 / Jupiter-Neptune Sept 19). The Jupiter Chiron Neptune cycles are also occurring in 2009, and are quite significant. They occur 30° away from Uranus (Aquarius-Pisces cusp) on the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius. The 30° aspect (semi-sextile) provides and opportunity for growth. Harmonically, they are two energetics that want to become allied in strength. The significance of the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction and their respective new synodic cycles are not discussed in this article but are explored in the monthly Lunar Planners. The first Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction was presented the April 25, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Beneficence - The Crossing Begins." At that time Juno was conjoining Chiron and Neptune. All of this can graphically be seen on the complete 2009 Graphic Ephemeris.

Change for Relationships

Juno-Uranus & the Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square (June 2009- Jan 1, 2010)

Juno Retrograde

The asteroid Juno's retrograde encompasses the Turning of mid-September 2009. Note in the timeline snapshot to the right that Juno aspects each of the planets involved (including Pluto) from May 2009 through Jan 1, 2010. Juno enters into to play after the second Uranus-Makemake opposition of April 11, 2009.

Juno first opposes Saturn in May 2009 and first opposes Makemake In June of 2009. Juno opposing Makemake-Saturn (at the least) raises issues regarding partnerships and allegiances surround financial structures and economic leadership.

Juno then synthesizes with Uranus: Juno makes the first of three conjunctions with Uranus on June 19, 2009. The second conjunction occurs on October 12, 2009; and the third conjunction occurs on November 20, 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions create a time of radical change for relationships surrounding issues of mutual respect and compatibility; and also strengthens those relationships focused in breaking from and standing against the conformity of the past (Juno synthesized with Uranus). Juno raises issues about how we interrelate, and thus plays a significant role in all types of relationships, those of personal intimate nature, those of business and politics, even those between countries.

Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships and soul colleagues; of mutual compatibility, diplomacy, trust and respect. In an astrological chart, Juno's placement reveals what is important to us in our relations and the types of significant relations we seek. Juno also indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. Mature Juno is diplomatic, tactful, cooperative, and mutually trusting. Mature Juno expresses with a sense of equality within self that provides the ability to draw true partners and those of equality into one's life. There is an acceptance of another's truth or opinion without need to challenge or debate. There is an ability to honor and support others in their own choices and decisions. Mature Juno expresses self-confidence in humbleness and without defense.

Potential Juno issues are: Superiority / inferiority complexes - competitiveness, defensiveness, lack of self confidence, arrogance and judgment of others; unconscious manipulation of others - power struggles seeking contention; betrayal, bitterness, spitefulness and standoffs; jealousy and possessiveness; one-up-man-ship—validating self by invalidating others (or reverse); dictating behavior—telling others what they should or should not do—minding others' business instead of one's own. More about Juno.

Notice also in the timeline that a new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle begins on September 8, 2009 during the Juno-Uranus conjunctions. This synod occurs just after the mid-point of the mid-point of "vision and realization" in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle (Sept 2); and just a few days before the Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition (Sept 15-17). Thus again, revealing why September 2009 marks at primary turning or transition in this entire timeline. The theme of this new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle is first mentioned in the May 24, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Dynamic Embracing Action." It will occur in the August 20, 2009 Lunar Cycle and will be presented in full in the August Lunar Planner. (See the Lunar Planner Archive for already published Lunar Planners.)

The Global Economic Paradigm Shift (September 2009)

Saturn & Makemake's one-time Conjunction and New 32-year Synodic Cycle

Saturn-Makemake Synods

Makemake and Uranus oppose again on September 7, 2009, at the same time as the new Juno-Uranus synodic cycle begins, and just before the very principal September 15-17, 2009 Synodic Opposition, created by the alignment of Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake. Saturn catches up to Makemake for its one-time conjunction with Makemake on the cusp of sidereal Leo-Virgo immediately following the Synodic Opposition.

Saturn and Makemake also end their previous 32-year synodic cycle and begin a new 32-year synodic cycle on September 26, 2009—another event catalyzing the primary turning. The Saturn-Makemake synthesis in general might be thought of as the governing economic structure and it leadership. This shift, I suggest, marks the turning where we "begin" to structure a new economic paradigm.

Although we did not have any awareness of Makemake at the time, the previous 32-year Saturn-Makemake cycle began in September of 1977. The synod occurred in late sidereal Cancer and under the auspices of the Head of the Lion. Makemake was passing just over Leo Minor (the lion cub) and under the hind foot the Great Bear (world powers). The synodic theme was defined by Rasalas, the crown of the Lion; Algenubi, eye of the Lion; Tania, the hind foot of the Great Bear (world powers); and the Owl Nebula, also of Ursa Major. Also influencing was Merak of the Great Bear; and Pherkad of Ursa Minor (the bear cub).

In brief this few degree band of the zodiak is about adventurism, exploration, breaking new trail, to go where we have not gone before. These are actions that require the courage of self-conviction, self-confidence, of belief in self and of our paths in life; it is a place inspiring us to expand from our current boundaries; and is a place of audacious and proud leadership.

Obviously research about the economic structure, condition, policy and its leadership at the time would be of value. Anyone with input can post on the Lunar Planner Forum.

Our new 32-year Saturn-Makemake synodic cycle starting on September 26, 2009 occurs on cusp of sidereal Leo-Virgo. This new synodic cycle will be explored in more detail in the September 18, 2009 Lunar Planner. This new cycle will continue through 2041.

Juno's Grand Finale
The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square of December 28, 2009 - January 1, 2010

Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square

During Juno's 2009 retrograde, Juno also squares Pluto (on July 10 and September 11)—the first two of three Juno-Pluto squares. The entire Juno transition period for partnerships then culminates with a dynamic Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square occurring on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010. As Juno moves to oppose Saturn for the last time, Juno squares Pluto. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. In addition, the Moon will oppose Pluto on December 31, 2009, fulfilling this T-square to create a Grand Square—to be discussed in the December 2009 Lunar Planner.

This event propels us into 2010. If you think 2009 was intense, hold on and let go for 2010, as Pluto and Jupiter both take prominent roles in the Makemake-Saturn-Uranus opposition.

Excerpts from Lunar Planners about Juno's role in this timeline may be presented below as they unfold.

The Opening 2010

Pluto & Saturn Demand Change - November 15, 2009 - August 21, 2010

Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square Timeline

The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-Square occurring on the cusp of 2009-2010 nests between the first two of three Saturn-Pluto squares, and during the Pluto station (shown to the right). The first two squares occur on November 15, 2009 and January 31, 1010. The third square occurs on August 21, 2010. This is a 270° square (in contrast to a 90° square). This means that Saturn is approaching its next synod with Pluto rather than moving away from its previous Saturn-Pluto—there is a difference (something to consider when looking at any square in an astrological chart). Much like in a lunar cycle, a 90° square creates an "external stimulus to action" whereas a 270° square create an" inner need to initiate change." Expect November 2009 through January 1, 2010 to be quite dynamic, intense and catalyzing, especially for partnerships.

Pluto

Pluto is a freeing and opening force; a pattern disrupter and deprogrammer. Pluto is independent, individualistic, and autonomous; an extremist, isolationist and loner; a revolutionist, and is non-accepting of limiting conditions. For a younger immature soul, Pluto can express as a controlling arbiter, ultimately making one face their own controlling issues. For a more mature soul, Pluto can be a valuable ally when worked with consciously, freeing one from antiquated behavioral patterns and teaching one to claim the power within self. Until realized, power is seen as something outside of self, something to amass through control and dominance, being in positions of authority, or through the acquisition of money and resources. In this case, Pluto brings attention to our attitude and the issues we hold about authoritarian control and use of power, how we attempt to control and how we respond to such control. For an older soul, the power realized within can then be applied in the world to effect positive change for the greater collective. Pluto demands that we take responsibility for our entrapments in life and deal with the longer-term ramifications of our actions and life scenarios—and our karmic responsibility, extending beyond a mere lifetime. Pluto demands that we address how we co-participate and cooperate with humankind./p>

Pluto's natal chart placement can indicate where we need to let go or surrender programmed patterns from early childhood and from previous incarnations. Pluto can bring up fears associated with survival, death and transformation; the fear to be alone, to let go, to release or to let die. It reveals where and how we learn to claim our own power, and once claimed, where and how we can apply our personal power most effectively and constructively. Pluto teaches us to become responsible for our personal evolution. See "An in-depth exploration of Pluto and Pluto's compliment Orcus."

The actual 270° Saturn-Pluto square of the synodic cycle occurs on June 11, 2010, (which is only seen in a heliocentric ephemeris or heliocentric astrology chart). This marks the actual transition into the last quarter of the 37-year Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle that began on December 24, 1982—a cycle that completes on January 10, 2020. Thus, this 270° square marks a time that stimulates an "inner need to change" in the 1982 Saturn-Pluto synodic theme. For those interested in exploring this theme and historic events surrounding it; the December 24, 1982 synod occurred at 2° 36' sidereal Libra. This is a couple degrees past Spica and Archturus, at the upper thighs of the Virgin; and it conjoins Izar of Bootes and conjoining stars. Again consider what you were doing in December 1982 and what was occurring in the world, as this a time for change regarding that theme—a time of plowing under the crops and tilling the soil; a time of shedding the dismantling the stage props and personal facades of that synodic theme.

2010 - Shot Through Space & Time

The many months-long Deepwater Horizon oil spill (BP oil spill) began on April 20, 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico, as the oil rig exploded, considered to be the largest accidental marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry. Deepwater Horizon sank on the morning of 22 April 2010. After several failed efforts to contain the flow, the well was declared sealed on September 19, 2010, but reports in early 2012 indicated the well site was still leaking. Wikipedia

The spill begins just after Pluto stations conjoining stationing Ceres, and as Saturn makes it opposition to Uranus. (Pluto = oil, power; Ceres = environmental, ecological; Saturn opp Uranus sq Pluto-Ceres = unexpected structural failure. Ceres is always prominent in ecological events.)

2010 produces several significant planetary dynamics: Jupiter arrives on the scene to ally forces with Uranus, which is most significant, bringing its expansive and mobilizing force. Notice in the timeline snapshot below that Jupiter makes its first opposition out of three with Makemake just after the fourth Saturn-Uranus opposition of April 26, 2010. Jupiter then opposes Saturn on May 23 and then conjoins Uranus on June 8, right smack in the middle of the window created by the final fourth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions (April 26 and July 26, 2010).

Jupiter then makes a sustained square with Pluto as Jupiter stations at the same time as the fifth Saturn-Uranus opposition of July 26, 2010. This immediately precedes a very powerful and catalyzing Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square peaking on August 16 through August 21, 2010. This event creates a powerful opening for the Synodic Synchronization of Sept 2010 to follow. July and August will be intense to say the least, like being shot through a vast stretch in time. However, this opening should be quite catalytic to propel us into the "Mobilization of Radical Change" hallmarked by the Sept 2010 Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization. Jupiter's arrival on the scene will bring a welcomed movement and expansion toward later 2010; and an emergence from this intensity in early 2011

In contrast to the Saturn-Pluto 270° square that surrounds the last square in the Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle, which produces an inner need to change, the Jupiter-Pluto square is 90°, with Jupiter at its first quarter in the current Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle. This square produces an external stimulus to expansive action. This 13-year Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle began on November 23, 2007. It was presented in the November 9, 2007 Lunar Planner. It was also presented in the article: "The Synodic Cycles of Pluto, Ixion & Quaoar: A Historical Timeline - 1982 - 2020."

2010 Jupiter Makemake Uranus Pluto Saturn Ceres Timeline

The Mobilization of Radical Change 2010

The Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization (September 19-21, 2010)

The second conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus of September 19 occurs during a compounded planetary alignment as well (Sun-Earth-Jupiter-Uranus). This marks the start of the new 399-day Earth-Jupiter synodic cycle and the next new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle; thus creating the "Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization." In addition and more significantly, it also marks the start of a new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle in early sidereal Pisces. Jupiter's synthesis with Uranus, with both standing in opposition to Makemake and Saturn, suggests an expansive mobilization of radical change in this long standing timeline of events.

In general, the resonances of expansive and mobilizing Jupiter and those of forward-orientated Uranus synthesize quite well and produce a fulfilling and beneficent outcome. They produce optimism and faith in the future. They produce opportunity for development and expansion. If anything can be indicative of a fulfilling prophecy, this is it.

The themes of these compounded synodic cycles including the next 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle is defined by the stars that lie just before the Primordial Origin of Earth's Precessional Cycle in early sidereal Pisces. Theses include the stars of Lacerta the Lizard, gate keeper and guarding to our Primordial Origin; and Scheat of the great Square of Pegasus. The synod occurs on the exact ecliptical location as Haumea's Perihelion. Haumea, with orbital similarities to Makemake, Haumea supports a new birth. It also conjoins the Circlet of stars creating the head of the western Fish; Sculptoris and the tail of the Phoenix—all indicative of sculpting a new life from our watery primal essence of being. This principle event also occurs in the crescendo of and is triggered by the September 23, 2010 Full Moon. This synodic cycle theme will be explored in detail as it approaches, and in the context the spiraling lunar cycles, in the upcoming Lunar Planners.

This primary transition occurring in this few year timeline is when we will begin to move forward in a new phase of consciousness and physical experience from the dynamic opening provided the months before by Pluto. Pluto has its way with getting us to address our karmic responsibilities, to change our patterns that keep us from addressing our true growth and achieving our greater evolutionary freedom.

Emergence 2011

The Jupiter Makemake Uranus Grand Finale 2010-2011

The events following the Synodic Synchronization are quite significant as well. Jupiter makes its second opposition with Makemake just as Makemake and Uranus enter a very long and tight aspect in opposition (October 2010 through January 2011)—longer than the Uranus-Makemake 2008 aspect that set the stage for this entire timeline—seems to be quite a statement—again emphasizing the Uranus-Makemake global economic theme. Jupiter makes its third conjunction with Uranus On Jan 4, 2011; and immediately following, then makes its final opposition with Makemake. Jupiter then makes its final square with Pluto on February 25, 2011; and then its final opposition with Saturn on March 28. 2011.

The Earth Synodic Cycles
A Progression in Consciousness

A new Earth-planet synodic cycle begins during the planet's retrograde period (when a planet's path is moving upward in the above timeline). In the midst of a retrograde, the Sun, Earth, and the planet align creating the new Earth-planet synod. Thus, we also have a progression of Earth-planet synodic cycles occurring throughout this timeline. The progression of the themes of each of these synodic cycles reveal the underlying context occurring in the progressive unfoldment of human consciousness.

There are several Earth-Uranus synods during this timeline, with a new Earth-Uranus cycle starting approximately every 370 days. Although the Earth-Uranus synods occur more often, the progression of these synods through the ecliptic changes slowly, only by a couple of degrees at a time due to the slower orbital speed of Uranus. The Earth-Makemake synodic cycles move through the ecliptic at a very slow pace due to Makemake's long orbit / slow movement ( a 307-year orbital period). They progress even slower than those of Earth-Uranus. The Earth-Saturn synods occur approximately every 378 days. However, these synods progress through the ecliptic faster than those of Earth-Uranus, occurring about 14 degrees apart. Thus, the themes of each of the Earth-Uranus and Earth-Makemake synodic cycles shift slightly, or more gently compared to those of Saturn, which change nearly at the rate of 1/2 of a zodiacal sign. These cycles can also be seen on the Synodic Cycles Timeline.

The Earth-Uranus synods are currently progressing across the cusp of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces. The Earth-Saturn synodic cycle starting on February 24 2008 occurred in early sidereal Leo conjoining the principal stars of the Sextant and Thuban of Draco. The next Earth-Saturn synod does not occur until March 8, 2009. Thus, the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions (Nov 4, 2008 and Feb 5, 2009) occur in the latter part of the Earth-Saturn Sextans synodic cycle. The theme of this synodic cycle reveals the underlying context for the nature of Saturn's role in the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions. The theme of this specific Earth-Saturn synodic cycle was presented in the February 6, 2008 Lunar Planner. In brief, Saturn, of responsibility, structure and form, was demanding we get our bearings, plot a new course, and take a new tack in the area of leadership. The next Earth-Saturn synodic cycle, starting on March 8, 2009 occurs in late sidereal Leo. The following one occurs on March 22, 2010 in early sidereal Virgo. The next one occurs on April 3, 2011, about 14 degrees further in sidereal Virgo. Again , all are or will be discussed in detail in each corresponding Lunar Planner. There may be brief excerpts of some below.

The synodic cycles created by Earth and Saturn and those by Earth and Uranus, nest with the more embracing 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle that began on June 9, 1988; and surround the very significant mid-point transition of this 44-year cycle occurring in September of 2009.

A Detailed Look at the Events as they Occur

I will update the following section of this article as the associated alignments occur.

The Great Deception of September 25, 2008

In a covert manipulative maneuver, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) seized Washington Mutual (WaMu) and sold it to J.P. Morgan on September 25, 2008 for $1.888 Billion, a fraction of its worth, in a cloak of secrecy, and in what has been called a "fire sale." While the media portrayed J.P. Morgan as a savior, which could not be further from the truth, little do "we the people" know what lies behind the scenes.

Occuring after the first extended Makemake-Uranus opposition of 2008, Saturn was making its passage in later sidereal Leo, through the hind of the Lion, and under the auspices of fiery and explosive Mizar of Ursa Major, one of the stars of the World Powers, as it makes its way toward the first Saturn-Uranus Opposition. Mizar is of raw volatile power that must express. Also conjoining are the stars of Canes Venatici, the Barking Hounds; and the stars of Antlia, the hot air pump—all producing a several degree band of the zodiak of diversionary tactics, grand spectacle, loud racket, commotion and smoke screens—a zodiakal area filled with hot air and foul breezes that could easily fuel a fire. During the few days leading into September 25, Jupiter trines Saturn triggered by the extended Mercury-Venus-Mars conjunction. Mercury, on its way to begin its retrograde on September 24, 2009 exactly conjoins Mars just as Mercury stations, and both conjoin Spica and oppose Eris, the Great disrupter, which conjoins the belly of ole' Cetus, the technobureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. Uranus lies at the mid-point between Eris and Neptune which are sextile. Also aspecting are Sedna and Varuna. Of particular note, the Mercury station-Mars conjunction exactly conjoins WaMu's natal Uranus ! The Moon crosses its South Node and aspects the entire geometry on September 25—-BANG!—Washington Mutual Inc's 119-year anniversary.

JP Morgan / FDIC Responsible for the Destruction of U.S. Financial System?

http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article6826.html

"The tag team of JP Morgan as the monster, and Goldman Sachs as its harlot, represent a powerful pair that is more responsible for destroying the entire US financial system than 95% of the American public has any awareness...."

WaMu had $54 Billion of liquidity at the time of the forced 1.9 Billion sale—of which $4 Billion was on deposit at Washington Mutual Bank. WaMu was forced to file Chapter 11 the following day—forcing stock holders to loose $26 Billion instantly. This seizure impacted all types of investments in all US stock markets and caused shock waves throughout stock markets worldwide—a maneuver believed by those who know the truth to be a primary cause for the financial avalanche that began in September 2008.

Washington Mutual Inc (WMI) moved to investigate JP Morgan on May 20, 2009 seeking billions in damages. Washington Mutual Inc filed suit against JP Morgan for return of their $4 Billion deposit; and WMI also filed suit against the FDIC seeking damages of approximately $40 Billion. "Phrases like ‘far below market value’, ‘premeditated plan’, ‘designed to damage’, ‘purchase…on the cheap’, ‘wrongful conduct’, ’sham negotiations’, ‘misusing confidential information’, ‘violation of confidentiality agreement’, ‘unfair advantage’, and ‘fire sale prices’ are in the court motion." The Full WaMu Story: http://www.wamuequity.org/

This drama, as one of the primary scenes upon the world stage, will surely come to its climax within this 2008-2011 timeline—especially as Saturn begins its square with Pluto, and with both creating a T-square with Juno (November 2009 through January 2011); and then as Jupiter opposes Saturn with the two making their potent and dramatic T-square with Pluto (August 2011). Perhaps this "opening" period in mid-2011 will be one of "grand exposure" regarding the rampant controlling manipulation and fraudulent maneuvers going on between the governments and banking industries.

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #1 - Nov 4, 2008

Pallas, Venus & the Saturn Uranus Opposition

Surrounding the days of November 4, 2008, the asteroid Pallas creates a T-square with the Uranus-Saturn opposition. Venus moves into position to create a Grand Square at the exact time of opposition. This alignment opens the theme of the Saturn-Uranus Opposition, setting the stage.

The new, radical, unconventional and higher-intelligence wanting to re-define what is established (Uranus) stands in opposition to the long-established, conventional, and stoic (Saturn). Uranus is empowered in this scenario residing in its domicile, humanitarian sidereal Aquarius, while Saturn resides in later sidereal Leo, at the hind of the Lion, in somewhat of a toxic area filled with hot air and foul breezes that could fuel a fire. Not to be fooled! Saturn has however just made a very significant encounter with Orcus, one of our new Dwarf Planets, together they started an entirely new 32-year cycle—producing a "new breed of leaders."

The real issue here is revealed by Pallas, the energetic of the T-square—that must express one way or another. Immature Pallas will fall into spiteful side-taking and lashing out, or will spitefully withdraw altogether—and while the Grand Square is active, Pallas opposing Venus challenges the feminine principle and those living from heart to stand strong. Mature Pallas expresses artistic creative intelligence beyond the righteous opposing forces and judgmental side-taking of the dualist world and will only provide solution by honoring both sides of the coin.

An in-depth exploration of this Grand Square, the star alignments involved and the Lunar Cycle in which it occurred was presented in the October 28, 2008 Lunar Planner entitled The Equipoise of Pure Intent: A New Birth in Consciousness.

Perched Upon Threshold - Constructing a New Bridge

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #2 - Feb 5, 2009

Occurring in the Eclipse Lunar Cycle of January 26, 2009 and within the 24-hour crescendo leading into the Gibbous Moon, retrograde Saturn and Uranus make the second of their five oppositions in the early hours of February 5, 2009.

In addition to the Grand Square (red lines) involving the Moon, Quaoar, Saturn and Uranus, notice the three interacting Yod's (violet lines)—from Varuna and Sedna to Quaoar; from Varuna and Saturn to Chiron; and from Chiron and Eris to Saturn. Three related trines are also shown (green lines).

The first Saturn-Uranus opposition opened the issue, one challenging us to change a failing antiquated structure. This second opposition results in somewhat of a reversed nature, with a "constructive" energetic now engaging—thanks to the Yods in this geometry (discussed below).

The New Moon of this lunar cycle (a solar eclipse conjoined Jupiter) occurs in the midst of a stellium (grouping) of planets in sidereal Capricorn, including retrograde Mercury, Mars, Juno, Jupiter, the Centaurs Nessus and Chiron, and Neptune—all centering on the Lunar North Node, creating a significant and potent lunar cycle. These planets synthesize their forces as if they were one massive planet—and in this case, creating a powerful force or wave that will sweep through our lives and carry us forward into a dynamic year of accelerated change and new realms of experience. This stellium's placement on the North Lunar Node creates a magnetic force that pulls us into the future.

This second Saturn-Uranus opposition involves Quaoar, the Moon, Chiron, Eris, Sedna and Varuna—all creating a multi-faceted geometric gateway. The potency of this event starts on the eve of February 4 and continues through the Gibbous Moon which occurs in the early hours of February 6. This event culminates on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of February 9, 2009 in sidereal Cancer, which also directly aspects this geometric gateway. The Sun conjoins Chiron on the Full Moon—bringing the past powerful two weeks and the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to a revelatory culmination. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse activates a very constructive Varuna-Saturn Yod (Finger of God) to Sun-Chiron. As we emerge from this gateway, it is as if we are perched on a threshold provided by Chiron—leaving us with a sobering revelation about a bridge we must construct and cross over the month's ahead.

Saturn-Uranus opposition graphic ephemeris

The illustration to the right shows the lower 10 degree corner of the 2009 Graphic Ephemeris. It reveals the crescendo leading into the point of resonance between Uranus, Earth and Saturn as Uranus and Saturn make the second of their five oppositions, which occurs just before the February lunar eclipse (the shaded red area leading into where the Uranus and Saturn lines cross). Also shown are Eris, Varuna and Quaoar, all of which are around 24-26 degrees in their respective signs, and also aspecting the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Chiron, moving a bit faster than the other players, moves into an exact aspect at the time of Saturn-Uranus opposition. Also note Eris, the great disrupter, at the exact same longitude.

The Quaoar Moon Saturn Uranus Grand Square

The Moon moves into a primary position at the exact time of the Saturn-Uranus opposition fulfilling the Quaoar-Saturn-Uranus T-square to create a Grand Square (not seen in the ephemeris but shown in the above aspect chart). Thus, the Moon and Quaoar, responsible for the Grand Square, play a primary role in the second Saturn-Uranus opposition.

Quaoar (pronounced kwah-whar) is one of new Dwarf Planets discovered in Ophiuchus in 2002. Quaoar supports a "harmonious revolution"—that we surrender egoic consciousness and align to divine order. Quaoar supports our return to the "sacredness of life"; to realize all things in life are sacred; and that it is our responsibility to have respect for natural order and to live in harmony with nature; without this we do not have respect for our selves. More about Quaoar.

Quaoar, still in Ophiuchus (sidereal Scorpio) conjoins Eta and Zeta Ara, and the Ara Black Hole X-ray source V821.

Ara, Altar of the Centaur, has also been imaged as the Altar of Dionysus, son of Zeus and Semele, god of wine and fertility, this was before the creation of Norma the square which is oddly placed between Lupus and Ara. Here was a censer in which perfumes were burned before the dead, also a brazier, both of which were associated with Vesta, goddess of the Hearth. Ara also represents the altars on the summits of temple towers, serving as lighthouses for the ancients, with the Alexandrian Pharos being the great example. The illustrations of Hyginus (1488-1535) show an altar from which flames ascended with demons on either side. Poetically it was described with flames rising northward through the Milky Way—along the starry stream and through galactic centre (Allen). Dionysus, god of ecstasy and wine, a mystic and lover, is known, in part, for rescuing women (descending to Helle—mortality—to save is mother) and restoring their office to Goddess—to their immortality. All of this refers to the purification process, the surrendering, or casting out that which is degenerative (the accumulations of judgments that bind us to mortality (judge ye not lest ye be judged) so we may attain our divine birthright, awakened to the illumined durative (immortal) souls that we are. In this light we have the principles underlying healing and the transmutation process, for which our northern illumined Ophiuchus stands.

The mythical image here is of the Centaur placing Lupus the beast with conscious deliberation upon the Centaur's sacrificial altar. V821 in Ara is an x-ray emitting & fluctuating binary star. This is a collapsed object (like a old neutron star) that accretes matter, and thus had been placed in the old Black Hole model by astronomers and had commonly been called the Ara Black Hole. V821 accretes emotion for consummation in the Centaur's Pyre. Here we must place, with conscious deliberation, any long standing grief, guilt, anger, and any other emotion (especially self-judgment related) that we are holding upon the Altar of the Centaur for our transmutation. North from the Sting of the Scorpion drips the transmuting elixir (the often harsh lessons of life), upon the Altar. This act is essential to experience the actual neurological transmutation made possible here, and that leads to our greater self-mastery; the mastery of the creative and carnal forces of life exemplified by Ophiuchus, who stands over the Scorpion and this entire scene. If we are not ready to surrender and relinquish our antiquated emotional baggage, we are held back and continue to experience upsets, diversions and even traumatic and catastrophic events in our lives.

This sacrificial rite, occurring at the end of sidereal Scorpio, under its sting, and upon the low Altar of the Centaur, precedes movement to the high Altar, which resides in early Sagittarius, and where upon lies our Galactic Center—and which leads to the subsequent passage through the Gate of God (5° sidereal Sag).

Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann

Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann

Spacecraft: Spitzer Space Telescope (SST)
Instrument: Multi-band Imaging Photometer (MIPS)
Produced by: NASA/JPL-Caltech

NASA Videos of Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann breakup
http://www.spacetelescope.org/news/html/heic0605.html

Lying opposite Quaoar, and triggering this event is the pre-Gibbous Moon in late sidereal Taurus. The Moon is a bit north of the ecliptic approaching El Nath, the North Horn of the Bull, and will pass 1.5 degrees just south of this star.

In addition, the broken up Comet stream 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann conjoins and lies in direct line with the Moon. This icy comet began to splinter apart in 1995, believed to be caused my thermal stress as it made its way around the Sun. This infrared image provided by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, provides one of the best views of the comet after its breakup. The flame-like objects are the comet's fragment tails. The line connecting the fragments is composed of the dust along the comet's path.

The Comet adds a dynamic aspect to the Moon's presence in this Grand Square, perhaps helping to explode the issues at hand into detailed view.

The Moon lies between the ecliptical longitudes of Rigel and Bellatrix of Orion, and conjoins Haedus, AE Aurigae, and the Flaming Star Nebula C405 of the Charioteer.

Rigel is of enterprising entrepreneurship. Orions in general are known for their architectural capacity. Prominent alignments with Rigel (and Bellatrix) bring the capacity to embody, direct and execute large, extravagant and grandiose projects; bringing good through commerce and business affairs. Kursa, conjoining Rigel, marks the beginning of Eridanus, the River of Life. Kursa is of new beginnings, new journeys, new involvements, and new legs of our lives. Although it may be time to go forth anew, into a new phases of our lives, we must be aware of the tenacious perseverance required when staring new life journeys, to move from the wars and trials of the past to the freedom of the future.

Bellatrix, Gamma Orion, is the Female Amazon Warrior, the conqueror, star of the Amazon. Bellatrix holds excellent capacities in "strategic planning," (in contrast to Betelgeuse, the male warrior, whose capacity is more about response in the moment). Classically, Bellatrix is lucky in administrative accomplishment—in civil, political, and military office. Bellatrix is especially favorable for women, and brings a loquacious quality. This star announces the rising of the more brilliant enterprising star Rigel, the left foot of Orion.

The Alpha and Beta stars of northern Camel, which conjoin Bellatrix, articulate the nature of this zodiakal band in Taurus well. The Camel spreads wealth around the world through commerce and business, is a resilient, enduring, hard working and intelligent beast of burden with the ability to go for days without water before becoming distressed, one suited for long and arduous journeys. This also articulates the planning and administrative nature of Bellatrix and the plodding and enduring nature of Taurus in general.

AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula IC405

AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula IC405

The principle conjoining star is AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula IC405, which lies north of Taurus is Auriga, the Charioteer.

An interesting observation about the energetic star AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula is that it came from the same location as Mu of Columba the Dove, emblem of Divine dispensation—both from the Great Orion Nebula. It appears as if the two stars had a very close encounter only to be expelled from the Orion Nebula, and now reside in different parts of the heavens. This suggests a renegade or outcast quality, one who lives outside the beliefs and conventions of its group, a free and highly creative thinker moving on its own, even with its own agenda, which is quite fitting to this longitude of Taurus, and typical to impious but highly creative and enterprising Orion.

In addition to the Moons conjoining stars, El Nath, the north Horn of the Bull, also adds significant character to this Grand Square due to the Moon-El Nath ecliptical latitude.

El Nath and Al Hecka are the Horns of the Bull, which lie over the head of Orion and south of the Charioteer, Auriga. The Horns embody the pursuit, struggle, and engagement in the physical world. El Nath, Beta Taurus (also shared with Auriga as Gamma Auriga), the north horn of the Bull, brings the capacity for tenacious perseverance for accomplishment. El Nath motivates the drive to continue to persevere to achieve a breakthrough. El Nath is of worthy pursuit for our future freedom.

The Chiron Eris Saturn Yod

Chiron plays a significant role in the Saturn-Uranus opposition not only due its placement, but also because Chiron's orbit harmonically synchronizes with the orbit of Uranus when Chiron is at its furthest point from the Sun (aphelion), and crosses into Saturn's orbit when it is closest to the Sun—thus linking the realms (orbital harmonics) of the two planets. Chiron brings radical new discoveries and unexpected insights (Uranus) into the world of function and application (Saturn), and provides a way to expand (bridge) from that which is concretized and established by creating new neurological pathways where none previously existed. Chiron is currently moving toward its aphelion (furthest point from the Sun) where its next Chiron-Uranus orbital resonance occurs.

Chiron resides in the fortuitous area of late sidereal Capricorn, and is slightly north of the ecliptic nesting amongst the stars of the constellation of Aquarius (which overlaps into the latter part of sidereal Capricorn). Chiron, which is currently a part of the stellium (grouping) of planets in sidereal Capricorn, primarily conjoins Nashira of Capricorn and Beta Gruis. This is an expressive and articulate area of the zodiak, with gregarious and loquacious qualities. It is of libraries, courts, congresses, publishing houses, literary agencies, or where any legalities are formulated, agreed upon and concretized.

Gruis the crane enters the ecliptic from the south as an underling and eloquently supportive influence especially to the last decan of sidereal Capricorn, between Alpha and Beta Gruis and extending through the Aquarius Capricorn overlap. The stellar influence of Gruis brings brilliance in grammatical arts, is a contributor to the excellence in law and associated disciplines requiring articulation of the written word or law. Beta Gruis conjoins Nashira of Capricorn, which lies just south of the ecliptic. Nashira, a fortuitous star, is the bringer of good news, especially regarding legalities, business dealings, and constitutional matters, as well as sanctioned matters of the soul.

Gruis as the stork, is carrier of bodies of knowledge, information, and news associated with new life and new beginnings. Prominent alignments with Beta Gruis and Nashira are exemplary of carriers of good tidings associated with legalities. The Toucan's loquacious and gregarious qualities also underlie Gruis as well contributing to the expressive and articulate nature of this area of the zodiak.

Another mythical image that aptly articulates the qualities expressing here is that by astronomer Jullius Schiller who combined the Crane with the Phoenix as "Aaron" the high priest-scientist, brother of Miriam and Moses. In its entirety, this "alternative constellation" then encompasses the last decan of Capricorn, all of Aquarius, and the first decan of Pisces. Aaron thus stands under Fomalhaut (of Pisces Aus), with his amulet of the messianic mission (the Ankaa, Alpha Phoenix), in support of the people; and under Achernar (end of the river). Aaron, the articulate high priest, applying his wisdom, underwrites the essence of Fomalhaut (future vision of an evolved humanitarian based society) and stands for the humanitarian vision and quality of life that Aquarius expresses. Aaron (and sister Miriam) are instrumental in freeing the people to walk the river of life. Aaron, as spokesperson for the three, stood in defense of Divine Law as an equal to the best of the authorities of the time. He was capable of communicating in intellectual prowess and demonstrating his wisdom of Divine Law, challenging the highest councils of religious political law governing Egypt.

In this imaging, Alpha Gruis, the primary star of Gruis, is Aaron's head, which embodies the pure wisdom (wise-dome) and knowledge of the high priest. Alpha Gruis is also called "the Bright One," and as Aaron's head, marks the crown and third eye chakras. Alpha Gruis conjoins (synthesizes with) the way-showers of the northern Dolphin star system, Delphinus. Alpha Gruis brings a capacity "to know" the way through the labyrinth of law, a way from the past, from what has been established.

Beta Gruis, I dub as Aaron's throat chakra, his voice—expressing through Nashira of Capricorn (bringer of good news). Here we find a masterful capacity of intelligent and eloquent communication—the ability to articulate the extensive wisdom of the priest-scientist, the awareness of higher law embodied by Alpha Gruis.

Eris, the great disrupter, intervenes or upsets, but in a way that leads to a new clarity of understanding and reorganization to follow. Eris currently resides in late sidereal Pisces, but is south of the ecliptic in the belly of ole' Cetus, the Technobureaucratic Monster of Collective Human Consciousness. It is here where Eris has been and is currently doing its undermining work—disrupting the very functioning of the technobureaucratic world and that of the collective mass populous.

Eris

Eris is a feminine warrior archetype that has no fear or hesitation to intercede and expose a greater hidden truth. Eris abhors, will provoke and will challenge the assumption of the reality of a situation when based on false pretense. Eris provokes change by upsetting the status quo, by upsetting the apple cart. Eris discloses and exposes clandestine affairs, or simply what lies hidden behind innocent but naive assumptions about reality. She opens our eyes to what is covered by lies, often revealing something shameful, ugly, or simply what is unacceptable behavior, often driven from inflated pride. Although Eris can create a disrupting commotion, upsetting our existing, limiting and antiquated structures of consciousness, she opens us to see beyond the finite bounds of our current perception, beyond the bounds we place upon ourselves by arousing and challenging our egoic defenses. In doing so, we are left to redefine and reorganize our world view to embrace a far vaster reality—a view more fitting to our rapidly expanding awareness. The discord and disruption Eris creates often results in a positive outcome in the longer term, as such how disrupting events can catalyze significant shifts in our lives that we would not otherwise initiate on our own, or by impelling us to take new paths that we would not otherwise embark upon that lead to more appropriate outcomes. More about Eris.

The geometrics of a Yod (Finger of God) invite a highly creative process. The base of the Yod is created by two planets in sextile (60°). From each base point, two inconjuncts (150°) aspect a third planet, the apex of the Yod. This geometry demands the creative application of the base points toward the apex. This occurs through an oscillation between the base points—creating an iterative process back and forth from one base point to the other in application to the apex.

As the base to this Yod, Chiron and Eris inspire the creative application of the their qualities to address Saturn. Thus we are motivated to disrupt or overturn the established system of structure and form, while at the same time identifying new modalities of functioning to restructure that which is being dismantled.

As we will see, Chiron (conjoined Beta Gruis and Nashira) becomes the focal point (apex) of a another Yod activated by the Full Moon Eclipse Chiron Sun conjunction of February 9, 2009, which brings the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to its culmination.

Sun-Chiron Full Moon Yod Feb 9 2009

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of February 9, 2009.

The Full Moon eclipse in late sidereal Cancer lies under the auspices of the Head of the Lion, which looks back over the Cancer-Leo cusp. It conjoins Algenubi, eye of the Lion. Also influencing are Merak of the Great Bear; the hind foot of the Bear, Tania Bor and Aus; and the southern Naos of Argo Navis.

Adventurism, exploration, breaking new trail, to go where we have not gone before, to get on with it—to engage, are all themes here. These are actions that require the courage of self-conviction, of belief in self, and in our paths in life; to have the inner confidence to step away from the convention of mass consensus and beyond the boundaries of known self.

Algenubi, Eye of the Lion, best embodies the theme of this few degree band of the ecliptic. Algenubi is of "breaking trail." These are the explorers and adventurers with interest beyond mere egoic importance to fit in with those performing on the worldly stage.

The Sun conjoins Chiron on the Lunar Eclipse—bringing the past powerful two weeks and the second Saturn-Uranus opposition to a culmination. The Full Moon-Earth-Sun-Chiron alignment aspects the Saturn-Uranus oppositions multi-faceted geometry—with the Sun and Chiron 30° to Uranus, and the Moon 30° to Saturn. It leaves us perched upon a threshold, to create and cross a new bridge into the future.

The Full Moon Eclipse & the Varuna Saturn Sun-Chiron Yod

The Sun and Chiron make a revelatory conjunction on the Full Moon eclipse. Notice in the above Full Moon aspect chart, that this activates the Varuna-Saturn to Chiron Yod. Varuna, allied in strength with Saturn, marks the time to construct new order out of chaos. Varuna, in late sidereal Gemini, conjoins Castor of the Gemini Twins.

The role of the Gemini Twins is of partnership in mutual cooperation participating in the human world, one of linking and uniting the mission of the soul (galactic plane) into and through our daily affairs in the world. The Twins work hand-in-hand for the betterment and evolutionary fulfillment of humankind. And of course, Gemini is of communication, commerce, and activity. Gemini is of high intensity intellectual communication, knowledge, information, goods and services, and their exchange. Thus,

Although the Twins are of communication and human betterment, they have in some legend been at odds with each other, a bit argumentative. Here is the Gemini trait of competitiveness, debate, arbitration, and negotiation, but ultimately leading to agreement and solution. Castor is the liaison in the world of daily human affairs, and is of partnerships and cooperation. Castor brings resources and people together that serve to get logistics accomplished in the world of business and commerce.

Also entering this band of the ecliptic is Adhara creating part of the hind-quarter of Canis Major; and Gomeisa of Canis minor. The Arabic Adhara means virgins (and should not be confused with Aludra, the pure one of the bread, which is near by in longitude but not in distance). Gomeisa is assistant to the principal star of Canis Minor, Procyon. Adhara is the aid, assistant or manager, those in liaison position in larger cooperative groups or organizations. Gomeisa can indicate those with essential expertise and perhaps behind the scenes, but who should be included in the credits and rewards for efforts well done.

Public Relations and liaison articulates the nature of the Twins—linking individuals together in larger groups or organizations that can serve a purpose far greater than the separate parties can accomplish alone. Here we find motivation for the coordination and exchange of resources and information between individuals and groups, and the planning of more encompassing joint ventures.

Varuna and Saturn demand we address the Sun-Chiron revelation. This Full Moon Eclipse Yod should bring realizations not only about the theme of this lunar cycle, but also about the nature of the bridges we must now construct and cross that emerge out of the dynamic Saturn-Uranus-Sedna-Varuna-Eris-Quaoar planetary gateway. Heeding our realizations on this Full Moon Eclipse—regarding this Chiron theme—would be wise.

Chiron's Revelation

The Chiron-Sun-Moon-Earth-alignment also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current and significant year-long Earth-Chiron synodic cycle that began on August 10, 2008 conjoining Delphinus, the Dolphin star system—also in an eclipse Lunar Cycle, and residing on the lunar nodes, magnetically drawing us to explore the new and unknown (Chiron North Node), to leave that which is visible, our old patterns of behavior, perceptions of self, and our current roles in the world (Sun South Node). The current Earth-Chiron synodic cycle was presented in the August 1, 2008 Lunar Planner.

An in-depth exploration of this second Saturn-Uranus opposition in the context of the the Lunar Cycle in which it occurred was presented in the January 26, 2009 Lunar Planner entitled To Cross a Threshold.

The New Earth Saturn Synodic Cycle: March 8, 2009

One of several key transition points occurring in the couple year long Saturn-Uranus Opposition is the start of the new Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle, which occurs on March 8, 2009 just after Venus begins its retrograde and just after the Comet Lulin Gibbous Moon. The Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle begins when the Sun, Earth and Saturn align, which occurs in the middle of Saturn's retrograde.

Saturn's previous 378-day synodic cycle started on February 24, 2008. Its theme, defined by Alpha Sextans, The Vela Pulsar and Thuban of Draco was presented in the February 6, 2008 Lunar Planner. A quote about the last cycle: "This Earth-Saturn synodic theme brings to conscious awareness our responsibility to navigate our evolutionary course with the understanding of the long-term ramifications involved. In addition, we find the need to shift what was perhaps a long-standing momentum established in the patriarchal-based bureaucratic structures governing our world, as well as our need to take a new approach regarding those long-standing but now out-dated established life scenarios or modalities of being within our own lives." Note that the first two Saturn-Uranus oppositions (Nov 4, 2008 and Feb 5, 2009) occurred during the theme of Saturn's previous synodic cycle.

The stars in late sidereal Leo define the theme of the new Earth-Saturn synodic cycle starting on March 8, 2009. They are Asterion (Chara) the Beta star of Canes Venatici, the barking dogs (pronounced key' neez ven ah tee' see); the Pulsar CP1133 of Leo; and Delta Velorum, on the sail of the Argo. Also influencing is Mizar of the Great Bear, which resides a bit earlier in ecliptical longitude; and Denebola, tail of the Lion, and Alpha Antlia, the hot air pump, both a bit later in longitude. Denebola, along with earlier Zosma and Chort, a triangle of stars, create the hind of the Lion. North in the heavens is the tail of the Great Bear, extending from Alioth to Mizar to Benetnasch, with the latter marking the tail's tip, and which resides at the Leo-Virgo cusp. Just under the tail of the Great Bear are the barking dogs (Canes Venatici).

Although Mizar and Benetnasch of Ursa Major are not principle stars of the Saturn synod, the synod lies between their longitudes, closer to Mizar. Thus a brief exploration of these stars and those of this entire area of late sidereal Leo will help provide context for this synodic theme.

Mizar, an overseeing predominant star of the Great Bear, embodies raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but for its proper expression, we must apply it with creative vision. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive tendencies, and the fear to create lest it may result in destruction. Here we learn the nature of such volatile forces. Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar can however express quite artistically. Gunpowder can express as beautiful fireworks as well as devastating explosions. The expression of Mizar is always noticed in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo.

Denebola, Beta Leo and Alpha Antlia, the hot-air pump, express through the last few degrees of sidereal Leo. Also conjoining are Alkes of Crateris, the cup of salvation, and the very southern Avior of Carina, Argo Navis—the true seer. This creates a diverse polarity of energies that set Leo's "back stage." A bit further, on the Leo-Virgo cusp, is Benetnasch of the Great Bear, Cor Caroli of the Barking Dogs; M51 the giant diversionary whirlpool galaxy; and Zavijava of early Virgo.

Denebola is also of colon physiology and intestinal toxicity, along with earlier Zosma and Chort, which form the hind of the lion. This area of the Leo is of those behind the scenes, of the political religious figureheads manipulating the affairs of the world.

Benetnash, Eta Ursa Major, is a young bluish-white star, with a mass six times that of our Sun and 700 times more luminous. Benetnasch is of the old totalitarian and dictatorial administrative seat directing the affairs on Earth. I derive this from the time when Earth's pole had fallen its furthest from the plane of galactic light in its ~25,000-year precessional cycle, which occurred about 6000 years ago (at 5° sidereal Virgo)—90 degrees ago in the precessional cycle. This also marked a phase-reversal in the precessional cycle where began a transition from matriarchal leadership to patriarchal leadership. Earth's pole then began to precess across the Virgo-Leo cusp and into late sidereal Leo (and over the star Benetnasch). This time, around the phase reversal, was the darkest period in the precessional cycle—hence in mythical terms, Benetnasch can be called a "fallen lord" due to the angular orientation of Earth's pole with respect to the galactic plane. This precessional phase transition led to the suppression of the matriarchal by the patriarchal, which led to the assumption that Egyptian pharaohs were male, and which later lead to a male papacy. This historical transition of matriarchal leadership to patriarchal dominance is articulated by Stephen Mahler (The Land Of Osiris); et. al., who suggest that in pre-dynastic Egypt the head of the 'high house' was female, who then choose a consort who became her male king—and that the postulate that pharaohs were male was due to a miss-translation.

Benetnash is of the long-established totalitarian governing paradigm. Benetnash articulates the administrative aspects of governments and the political-religious factions of big-business and their figureheads. Reinhold Ebertin reported that primary planetary transits to Benetnash are often associated with claiming human lives through calamities, and thus of death and mourning, based upon his research of planetary transits to this star over centuries. George Noonan reports that Islamic astrologers considered this star to be "the destroyer of nations." Benetnash ultimately teaches that leadership is about facilitating the self-empowerment and freedom of others rather than about exerting manipulative force that controls and destroys others, mistaken as leadership and being in a position of power./p>

Just south of Benetnasch is the constellation Canes Venatici, the barking hounds, articulating that the totalitarian tactics are those of commotion and grand spectacle, ensuring the attraction of one's attention, the lure of the false prophets and spiritual / political illusionists. Cor Caroli is the Alpha star of Canes Venatici, and conjoining is M51, the giant whirlpool galaxy. Asterion is the Beta star of the hounds conjoining the hind of the Lion. This image articulates the expression of the Benetnasch directive simply as loud and grand global proportion spectacle, but as diversionary tactics. The paradox here is this racket is indicative of what not to follow, and more paradoxically yet, it keeps the self-proclaimed leaders from finding the real Cup they spout to be in possession of anyway. Examples are a government covertly selling war arms to the very country they are fighting, in the name of eradicating the war mongers, or covertly selling drugs to the country's drug lords while presenting to the public their cause is to fight the drug problem. Or the self-proclaimed guru spouting spiritual principles to sell their wares or to create their ego-gratifying followings.

It is not uncommon for such beings to pretend they are doing that which supports the greater freedom by creating dramatic and glamorous humanitarian projects (the barking greyhound and the glamorous Giant Whirlpool Galaxy) or stage shows performed in the name of spiritual growth, when what is hidden within these projections of smoke is that which is designed to maintain an egoic position of control and manipulation over the masses who are merely blind pawns in a game of who's following the biggest ego on Earth. Here we are asked to look behind the suits these beings wear, and peer deeply into the dramatic facade of their projects to see the trap of diversion designed to mislead and control. We are asked to look at our own insecurities within to see why we would follow such antics to start with rather than to cultivate the purity and integrity to claim our own grail by following the truth in our hearts. These self-proclaimed often call themselves Masters or Officials and lead others to address them as such without question so that they may then dictate action for and direct their follows to do their biding for their own manipulative purposes.

Curiously conjoining Benetnasch, marking the Leo-Virgo cusp and lying south of the ecliptic, and below the egoic stage setting of late sidereal Leo, is Alkes of Crateris, the Cup of Salvation, the Golden Chalice. Here we find the way, the salvation, the greater spiritual fulfillment that we seek laying silently submerged under the diversionary shenanigans perpetuated by the puppet-masters directing the global stage. Most of Crateris expresses through early sidereal Virgo, but Alkes is first star of significance.

The mixed theme here at the cusp indicates either genuine spiritual figures or leaders, or hot-air wanna-be guru types—those spouting a lot of self important head tripping spiritual principle, but without any real substance or true wisdom. The issue of discernment arises, which is required to see the illusionists and diversionists from those of real spiritual and moral value—to grasp the grail of Alkes through the smoke of Denebola and the hot air they spout which is articulated by conjoining Alpha Antlia, the air pump driving the fire and swirling the smoke. Hence, as the old saying goes, if someone offers salvation from the human struggle, they most often are selling something.

As we transcend the egoic stage altogether, we find Avior, Epsilon Carina of Argo Navis and Delta Velorum on the sail of the Argo. These two stars are associated with the underlying spiritual truth and wisdom that guides us to our greater fulfillment and well being, a truth far hidden from the ego-driven wanna-be spiritual-political self-proclaimed authorities who spout principles they do not live. Avior articulates the true spiritual sage who often time is one without need to be on stage, one who is often found behind the scenes simply living their spiritual truth, transcendent to the smoke and follies common to the global stage. These are often those working with transcendent currents of wisdom (Delta Velorum) that influence the surface world in genuine ways—those who make a real difference but who do not need to at personality level.

Now that we have some context for this area of the zodiak, let us return to the longitude of the Saturn synod: Also conjoining Asterion and Delta Velorum is the pulsar CP1133 nesting at the hind of the Lion, in the triangle of stars created by Zosma, Chort and Denebola. Pulsars in general are beacons for the soul, providing an inner message or a constant reminder for those attentive to such subtleties. For the less conscious it may lure one into the monotonous drone of the diversionary propaganda and dramas offer by the media. For the more attentive it may act as a constant reminder about the prolific foul winds that could fuel a diversionary fire.

Thus, our new Saturn synodic cycle, expressing over the next 378 days, may yield a lot of hot air and foul winds producing a dramatic racket and fiery commotion, but which are mere diversionary tactics intended to distract the masses from the real issues at hand. This may accentuate the last dramatic gasps of the totalitarians and covert manipulators. On the other hand, we may also find those participating in the system (Saturn) with sincerity in their efforts to re-structure the foundation of the system and lead humanity through the diversionary smoke to a greater fulfillment. Remember that Uranus remains in opposition to Saturn—hence this radical upheaval and the challenge for change, to break us free from the conformity of the past. Either way Mizar's fiery expressive force is at work. The primary issue here is one of discernment, to extract a path that leads to our true wellbeing from the dramatic racket occurring in the world around us.

Although this predominantly occurs in the global arena, under the auspices of Mizar's dramatic fiery expression, in the totalitarian patriarchal dominant world of Benetnasch, in the midst of noisy Asterion of the barking hounds, and in the toxicity common to the hind of the Lion, we also experience this energetic in our personal lives, with need to discern and sort through the underpinnings of our own lives, of the systems we follow, of the junk we may have accumulated that clutters our lives, as the challenge for radical change is at hand. Hence the months immediately ahead may be of diversionary dramatics, but it is a time of sorting that which is of value from that which is not, one which precedes the point of turning in the Saturn-Uranus opposition to occur in September 2009, and the subsequent mobilization of change in 2010, when Jupiter joins Uranus in opposition to Saturn.

Relationships in Transition - June through Jan 1, 2010
Juno joins Uranus - A new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year synodic cycle begins

Juno, asteroid of covenant relations and mutual respect, conjoins Uranus and opposes Saturn and Makemake surrounding the "Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition." Juno makes the first of three conjunctions with Uranus on June 19, 2009. The second conjunction occurs on October 12, 2009; and the third conjunction occurs on November 20, 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions occurring from June 19 through November 20, 2009 inspire radical change for relationships surrounding issues of mutual respect and compatibility; and also strengthen those relationships focused in breaking from and standing against the conformity of the past. Personal relationships and professional business political partnerships may change based around financial issues.

A new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year synodic cycle begins during the Juno-Uranus conjunctions, when Juno and Uranus align from the Sun's view. This (Heliocentric conjunction) occurs on September 8, 2009, just a few days before the "Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition" of mid-September.

Juno Pluto Saturn T-Square

The theme of the new 4.5-year Juno-Uranus synodic cycle that starts on September 8, 2009 (continuing through March 16, 2014) is defined by the cuspal stars of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces. The previous Juno-Uranus synodic cycle began on February 26, 2005 in early to mid-sidereal Aquarius. The following cycle (March 16, 2014) occurs in mid-sidereal Pisces.

***Juno's very significant 2009 role in the Saturn-Uranus opposition (and its ramifications for partnerships) culminates with a Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square on December 24, 2009 through January 1, 2010.

The Transition Period for Relationships Begins - June 15, 2009
The first Juno-Uranus Conjunction triggered by the June 15, 2009 Last Quarter Moon
(Excerpt from the May 24, 2009 Lunar Planner)

The Last Quarter Moon creates our "inner need to initiate change" in the lunar cycle as we move into the cycle's last and transitional quarter. Our Last Quarter Moon occurs on June 15 just as Jupiter begins its retrograde. Of far more significance, the Moon conjoins Juno and Uranus on the cusp of sidereal Pisces. Juno makes three conjunctions with Uranus surrounding a new Juno-Uranus synodic cycle starting on September 8, 2009. Although the actual Juno-Uranus conjunction is a few days away (occurring hours before the Balsamic Moon of June 18-19), the two are a small fraction of degree apart and this lunar trigger occurring in the crescendo of their conjunction initiates the Juno-Uranus energetic.

Juno now begins to play a primary role in our planetary symphony and continues to do so through the end of 2009 as it joins Uranus in opposition to Pluto throughout this period. Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships and soul colleagues; of mutual compatibility, diplomacy, trust and respect. Radical Uranus breaks us from the conforming bounds of the past, from the status quo. Uranus brings the unexpected, inspires spontaneity, is of higher mind and is future oriented.

The Juno-Uranus conjunction, triggered by this Last Quarter Moon of June 19, 2009, begins a several month period catalyzing radical change and unexpected opportunities for relationships and partnerships of all types as we make the transition from the previous Juno-Uranus synodic cycle into the next. The Juno-Uranus opposition to Saturn occurring now through December can bring inner conflicts as well as conflicts in relationships to surface. The conflict can be due to a strong need to change while feeling oppressed or restricted by existing conditions, however change must ultimately occur. This need to change will intensify when Pluto begins to square Juno in July, and then further when Pluto begins to square Saturn in mid-November. Jupiter will then conjoin Uranus and both will oppose Saturn starting in May of 2010, mobilizing and expanding upon the changes we are making in 2009. The Juno-Uranus conjunctions staring now may also invite greater cooperation between those focused in change, who are challenging that which is antiquated to find a new way into the future.

These cycles occurring throughout 2009 and 2010 embrace the synchronizations of two primary transitions in much longer-term cycles underlying the evolutionary unfoldment of human consciousness. One is the "Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition" occurring in September 2009, which is the mid-point of transition in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle. The other is the "Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization" occurring in September 2010, which marks the start of a new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle. This entire scenario is outlined and discussed in this article.

Our Juno-Uranus Last Quarter Moon on the cusp of sidereal Pisces conjoins the Circlet of stars creating the head of the western fish of Pisces. This is just a degree or two past the same location as the Mars-Uranus synodic cycle, which began in the April 24, 2009 lunar cycle. Lying north of the circlet and marking this Piscian cusp is Matar, on the left forearm of Pegasus, which marks the gush point in the zodiak. Matar is from Al Sa‘d al Matar—the Fortunate Rain—Matar articulates our movement from high mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius to the wet sensual palpable and emotional world of Pisces and the aquatics.

Our June 15, 2009 Last quarter Moon's inner need to initiate change invites us to get out of our heads and to palpate what feels right in our relationships, to honor our gut feelings and to interrelate from that feeling and to initiate making any changes in our lives that may be appropriate. With no doubt, as stated above, this marks the time for radical changes in our relations to begin. More about Juno and Juno related issues.

The Earth-Jupiter, Earth-Chiron & Earth-Neptune Synodic Cycles
August 14-17 2009

An Excerpt from the July 22, 2009 Lunar Planner

Surrounding the Balsamic Moon of August 16-17, the Earth-Jupiter, Earth-Chiron and Earth-Neptune Synods occur. This is when, from Earth's view, the Sun opposes each of these planets. From the Sun's view, the Sun and Earth align with each of these planets, which defines the synods. The Earth-Jupiter synod occurs on August 14. The Earth-Chiron synod occurs on August 16, just before the Balsamic Moon, and the Earth-Neptune synod occurs on August 17, just after the Balsamic Moon. Since Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune conjoin, I will refer to this as one event, and one compounded synodic cycle.

This synodic event marks a primary turning in the Jupiter-Neptune (Chiron) conjunction, which began on May 27 2009 and continues through December 21, 2009. Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune nest around the cusp of sidereal Aquarius, currently all retrograde (Earth-planet synods occur during a planet's retrograde. See Synodic Cycles & Planetary Retrogrades.)

The first Jupiter-Neptune conjunction was discussed in the May 24, 2009 Lunar Planner. The second Jupiter-Neptune conjunction of July 10, 2009 was mentioned in the June 22, 2209 Lunar Planner. The Jupiter-Neptune several month conjunction embraces the start of a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle occurring on September 19, 2009, a cycle that continues into 2022. The September Jupiter-Neptune synod is a primary event occurring along with two other very significant events—the midpoint of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle and the Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake alignment (a synodic opposition). You can see why September 2009 marks "the transition" or "turning in the planetary cycles occurring from late 2008 through early 2011.

The Earth -Jupiter -Chiron -Neptune (Earth-JCN ) synodic cycle starting now embraces the ending of the previous Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle and the start of the next. In this context, this Earth-JCN cycle (about a year long) is of completion and of a new beginning. Completion of what exactly? The previous Jupiter-Neptune cycle started on December 24, 1996, so consider what was occurring at that time in your life—particularly with any Jupiter-Neptune related themes; i.e., mobilization and expansion of dreams and visions, etc). We are now (2009) being motivated to mobilize new dreams and visions—specifically those of a Chironic character—-that lead from the conforming bounds of the past, across a bridge, and into a radically new and alternative future. This does not necessarily mean abandonment of the past dreams and visions, but expanding into an entirely new Jupiter-Neptune octave of experience.

The previous Jupiter-Neptune cycle that started in 1996 occurred at ~3° sidereal Capricorn. The first couple of degrees of sidereal Capricorn bring to sobering light the reality of translating and applying our high visionary ideals and embracing principles common to earlier Sagittarius and Lyra into concretized practical form in the physical world. Here we have the support to actualize our ideals, but we are also faced with the aberrations or distortions of those ideals when doing so.

These first few degrees of Capricorn can also involve areas of all esoteric sciences, as well as the secret places and orders associated with those artsciences—places of personal retreat, seclusion, hermitages—places strategic to one's purpose. We also have support to identify and move to such places as well. The first few degrees of Capricorn can also be of magic, hermeticism, esoterics, and religion.

Early Capricorn is of a personal focus, more about self-accomplishment, personal desires, and the cloaks and facades we wear or present in the world. It is of an exclusive nature and is militaristic and of domination.

The next Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle starting in September 2009 occurs exactly on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius, conjoining Sadr, the heart of the Swan. Although I will discuss this more in-depth when the time comes, this next 12.7 year cycle will embody the essence humanitarianism, with an inclusive rather than exclusive focus common to the previous cycle. This new cycle will be of vision and innovation for the future well being of Humanity.

For those who wish to explore the nesting of synodic cycles: The previous Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle (Dec 24, 1996) was the first to occur in the new ~172-year Uranus-Neptune cycle that began on April 22 1993 (conjoined Lyra in late sidereal Sag). The first Jupiter-Uranus cycle in the Uranus-Neptune cycle began on March 28, 1997.

The Earth-Neptune-Chiron part of the Earth-JCN synodic cycle starting now on this August 2009 Balsamic Moon continues for about one year (into August 2010). At that time another Earth-Neptune-Chiron cycle will begin because Chiron and Neptune remain conjoined, of course this will occur a couple of degrees further along in sidereal Aquarius. The Earth-Jupiter part of the Earth-JCN synodic cycle will continue through September 21, 2010. At that time Jupiter will have joined Uranus (presented above) and a new compounded Earth-Jupiter-Uranus will begin (the synodic synchronization), which marks the "mobilization of change" in the 2008-2011 planetary cycles.

In the midst of the five Saturn Uranus Oppositions, and just before the Earth-Saturn-Uranus "Synodic Opposition" of mid-September 2009, Saturn and Uranus reside in exact opposite parts of the zodiak as seen from the Sun. This alignment, occurring on Sept 2, 2009 marks the midpoint of the Vision and Realization in the 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle that began on June 9, 1988.

The five Saturn-Uranus oppositions, and the associated Earth-Saturn and Earth-Uranus synodic cycles occurring throughout this time, nest within this more embracing 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle. The theme of this cycle is of utmost significance as well as the events surrounding its start date. This embracing cycle reveals yet another level of context underlying the years upon us.

The 1988 Saturn-Uranus Synodic theme

The theme of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus Synodic Cycle is defined by the stellar alignments at 04°07' sidereal Sagittarius. This is within a one degree orb of the "Gate of God," the primary north galactic equatorial node (N-GEN). The Gate of God is the primary fiducial (reference point) in the Cycle of Earth's Precessional Cross; making this specific Saturn-Uranus cycle one of the most significant in world history. Also influencing are Etamin of Draco, eye of the dragon; and Al Nasl, the tip of the Zen Archer's arrow. A Saturn-Uranus synthesis in general will tend to motivate us to explore new possibilities that can evolve from that which is already established, to expand in new ways; and to concretize those new ideas into practical and applicable form—in a sense superimposing new ideas and discoveries onto that which is already functional and organized. It would inspire a desire to improve upon the existing societal structure. This specific synodic cycle theme at the Gate of God would have inspired a focus toward higher spiritual visions, ideals and truths, and motivating an undaunted focus to achieve them. This would have catalyzed an entirely new movement in the entire populous.

Consider what you were doing in 1988, what was occurring in the world, and the transitions you were making in your life, as the latter half of 2009 and well into 2010, and especially the lunar cycle of August 20, 2009 - September 18, 2009 can bring vision and revelation regarding it. The "Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition" (Sept 15-17 2009) and the start of the new "Juno-Uranus synodic cycle" nest around this longer cycle's major transition point.

Note: the Saturn-Uranus synod before the June 1998 synod occurred March 25, 1942 at 5° 35' sidereal Taurus, conjoining the Pleiades—a theme more about seeding for and providing for home and family, especially through business and building in the physical realms of life.

Jupiter, Chiron & Neptune

An Excerpt from the August 20, 2009 Lunar Planner:

"Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have been conjoining in the latter few degrees of sidereal Capricorn, at the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius. The first Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction was presented the April 25, 2009 Lunar Planner: "Beneficence - The Crossing Begins." It was triggered by the Last Quarter Moon of the April lunar cycle, which initiated a several month period with a mobilizing, expansive, optimistic and opportunistic force to create and cross a Chironic bridge across the Saturn-Uranus abyss (opposition).

Now, in the midst of their retrogrades, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune will begin new and compounded synodic cycles (Jupiter-Chiron Sept 4 / Jupiter-Neptune Sept 19). Jupiter and Chiron begin their new synodic cycle on Sept 4, hours after the Full Moon, on our day of realization in the lunar cycle. Jupiter and Neptune will began thier new 12.7-year synodic cycle on the following New Moon.

This compounded Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune synodic cycle is another reason why September 2009 creates a primary turning or transition. The Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune 2009 cycles are quite significant. They occur 30° away from Uranus (Aquarius-Pisces cusp). The 30° aspect (semi-sextile) provides and opportunity for growth. Harmonically, these are two energetics that want to ally in strength.

The several month Jupiter-Chiron conjunction and the synod occurring now are also quite significant because of Chrion's harmonic relationship with Saturn and Uranus. Chiron's orbit is highly eccentric. At its perihelion (closest point to the Sun), it lies just inside the orbit of Saturn. At its aphelion (farthest point from the Sun), it lies close to the orbit of Uranus. Thus, two significant "orbital harmonic resonances" occur, linking Chiron with Saturn and Uranus. For this reason, Chiron creates a bridge, way, or link between the realms of Saturn and Uranus—from the old, established, concretized, stoic realm of Saturn to the new, unconventional radical, electrical, spontaneous realm of Uranus. As we move outward in our solar (system's) consciousness, we move from Saturn to Uranus. Uranus breaks us from the conformity of the past, opening us to new realms of possibility. Thus Chiron escorts us in this process, often helping to create the way across the Saturn-Uranus abyss. Chiron can indicate where personal healing or transmutation is required. More about Chiron.

This Jupiter-Chiron synod marks a primary shift in the midst of the bridge we are now crossing, a bridge that we are still forming over what may appear as a massive mysterious abyss. Jupiter's expansive and mobilizing force not only brings tremendous support and optimism to cross this bridge; but Jupiter will move to conjoin Uranus starting in June of 2010. Jupiter will play a key role in the entire Makemake-Saturn-Uranus cycle from May 2010 through March 2011. Jupiter's presence will be responsible for the next major shift in the 2008-2011 timeline—creating the September 2010 Synodic Synchronization—"the mobilization of change."

This new Jupiter-Chiron synodic theme occurring now resides exactly on the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius, and is defined by the principle star Sadr of Cygnus, heart of the Swan (heart of the northern the galactic cross). The cusp of sidereal Aquarius is marked by the wing of Cygnus the Swan, which extends from Sadr, the heart of the Swan, to Gienah, the tip of the wing. We also have the Veil (Lacework) Nebula residing on the wing near Gienah.

This point in the ecliptic is where we are motivated to strip off the cloaks of personality-based facades and shenanigans to reveal true heart-level self and to live from our deeper hearts' truth for the greater nourishment of all. Sadr, the heart, and Gienah, the wing of Cygnus, lifts us from a self-centered exclusive focus to a more embracing and inclusive level of participation. This marks the start of the true humanitarian facet of the zodiak.

To live a lie in attempt to protect others from their own emotions is to deny others the opportunity for their own growth, as well as to deny our selves the opportunity to grow and change. This act lowers our resonance into a sympathetic vibration, which only perpetuates conditions we would really like to change. Living true to self is the real gift we have to offer each other. To be humanitarian is not about self-sacrifice or creating dependence, it is about living in our personal integrity and supporting others to do the same. From this stance we allow a natural spiral of creative growth to carry us forward into a new humanitarian-based era.

Also marking the cusp of sidereal Aquarius and conjoining Sadr of Cygnus is the Quasar 2134+004, which resides in Aquarius. This Quasar inspires us to enter deep within self and to bring forth our unique substance and soul essence that is of true value to each other and to the world, rather than projecting just superficial skin-deep appearances or false facades common to earlier sidereal Capricorn. Here we are motivated to demonstrate our capacity to participate with true humanitarian vision, with interest for all rather than for the manipulation of an exclusive few."

This many month Jupiter Neptune conjunction and the new Jupiter Neptune synodic theme is also significant because Jupiter will now start to move to through sidereal Aquarius as it makes its way to conjoin Uranus starting in May 2010 and continuing through early 2011, a time period where we will experience an expansive mobilization of the changes we are making now.

Relationships in Transition (continued)
The new Juno-Uranus Synodic Cycle.

An Excerpt from the August 20, 2009 Lunar Planner:

"Juno has been in a retrograde cycle conjoining Uranus, and is responsible for the massive and radical restructuring of relationships and partnerships of all types—those of a personal nature, in business and those political. This Juno-Uranus synod creates another of our major shifts catalyzing this September's turning. It occurs exactly on the Disseminating Moon of September 8, 2009.

Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In an astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world.

The new Juno-Uranus synod occurs exactly on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces in "the circlet" of Pisces, a circle of stars that marks the head of the western fish. Here we cross the cusp into the palpable wet emotional world of the masses and of life. Lying north of the circlet and marking this Piscean cusp is the Matar on the left forearm of Pegasus, which marks the gush point in the zodiak. Matar is from Al Sa‘d al Matar—the Fortunate Rain—which articulates movement from high mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius, and the vulnerability to psychic manipulation and entrapment that living in the mind alone can cause, exemplified by the Zetas of Reticuli, which mark the end of Aquarius, to the wet sensual emotional world of Pisces.

This new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year cycle moves us from the intellectual gymnastic head-tripping that had been occurring amongst relations to one that is driven from a feeling / gut level—thankfully. This new cycle should help get us in touch with what really matters.

Juno's retrograde conjoining Uranus and opposing Makemake and Saturn is also squaring Pluto, which began on July 10. The second Juno-Pluto square occurs on September 11, 2009. Juno, Pluto and Saturn will then make a dramatic T-square on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010, bringing this period of restructuring for relationships to a climatic finale. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. In addition, the Moon will oppose Pluto on December 31, 2009, fulfilling this T-square to create a Grand Square—to be discussed in the December 16, 2009 Lunar Planner." The Turning - September 15-17, 2009

The Earth-Saturn-Makemake-Uranus "Synodic Opposition,"
the Saturn-Uranus Opposition #3, and the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake Synodic Cycle

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #3 - Sept 15, 2009

The last phase of the August 20, 2009 lunar cycle embodies the grand event of our September transition, the "Earth-Makemake-Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition," which propels us across a major threshold in this few year timeline. This event occurs immediately following the Balsamic Moon of September 15, 2009, which conjoins the asteroid Vesta and Praesepe, the Beehive star cluster in Cancer—inspiring a future focus of clarity of purpose for our emergence from the darkness, dogma and delusion of the past.

This "Makemake-Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition," occurring on September 15-17, 2009, marks the coincidence of several synchronous events created by a compounded planetary alignment (Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake). One event is the third of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions—as seen from Earth.

From the Sun's view, Earth and Uranus conjoin which marks the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. The theme of this Earth-Uranus is defined by the same stars defining the Juno-Uranus synod that occurred on September 8—at the cusp of sidereal Pisces. This also completes Uranus' passage through sidereal Aquarius, as Uranus now makes its complete transition into wet, sensual, sensitive and emotional sidereal Pisces.

From Earth's view, the Sun, Saturn and Makemake conjoin. This means that both Saturn and Makemake are exactly half-way though their respective synodic cycles with Earth. The Earth-Saturn cycle is 278 days long and the Earth-Makemake cycle is about one year long. This is the climax point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Saturn synodic cycle that started on March 8, 2009 (producing a lot of hot air, foul winds, dramatic racket and fiery commotion, but which are mere diversionary tactics intended to distract the masses from the real issues at hand); and the midpoint of realization in the Earth-Makemake one year cycle. It is rather unique that not only the midpoints of these cycles coincide, but that they also coincide with the new Earth-Uranus synod.

Of utmost significance is the start of a new 32-year Saturn-Makemake synodic cycle—catalyzing a major turning in the restructuring of the global economic paradigm—more specifically, who is in dominating control of resources. We can definitely consider this event to initiate the development of an entirely new economic administration. (Learn more about Makemake.) Although the Saturn-Uranus oppositions continue into 2010, and the Uranus oppositions to Makemake continue into 2011, the September Synodic Opposition marks a primary turning or transition in the dynamic of this nearly two-year long Saturn-Uranus series of oppositions as well as in this entire 2008-2011 timeline.

A Closer Look into the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake Synodic Cycle

The Saturn Makemake synod occurs on September 27, 2009 (slightly after the Saturn-Uranus synodic opposition and in the following lunar cycle) on the cusp of sidereal Virgo. I've presented the overal context of this area of the zodiak above, in the Earth-Saturn 378-day synodic cycle section above. Primarily of interest here, and setting the theme of this new 32-year cycle, is Benatnash, the tip of the Bear's tail, the embodiment of the old totalitarian world powers; and Cor Caroli, the Alpha star of Canes Venatici, the barking hounds, along with M51, the giant whirlpool galaxy in Ursa Major, all of which articulate the diversionary tactics and grand spectacle produced by the totalitarian powers. Zavijava of Virgo, conjoining Benetnash, is of the blind followers of the Benetnash directive, those deluded by the diversionary global spectacle. In the southern heavens is Antilia, the hot air pump, fueling the fire and swirling the smoke that is common to such tactics. For those with the perception to look through such diversionary tactics, they wil find Alkes of Crateris, the cup of salvation; and further south is the sail of Argo Navis, and Avior in Carina, upon the keel of the Argo.

Saturn-Makemake 32-year Synodic Cycle

Argo Navis, lying along the galactic plane, articulates the nature of the soul collective's greater evolutionary journey—as in the story of Jason and the Argonauts and in the Sumerain story of Gilgamesh and his fifty Sirian warriors. The stars of Vela (Velorum), the sail of the Argo, are of the transcendent energies and winds that drive souls' evolutionary journey—currents transcendent to the dramatics of the terrestrial incarnational world. The stars of Carina, the keel, are of guidance, navigation, and direction. Avior, one of the principal stars of our new Saturn-Makemake synodic theme, embodies the underlying spiritual truth and wisdom that guides us to our greater fulfillment and well being, a truth far hidden from the ego-driven wanna-be spiritual-political self-proclaimed authorities who spout principles they do not live. Avior also articulates the true spiritual sage, one who often time is found behind the scenes simply living their spiritual truth, transcendent to the smoke and follies common to the global stage. These wise people are often those working with transcendent currents that influence the surface world in genuine and beneficial ways—those who make a real difference but who haven't the need to at a personality level.

As implied, the Leo-Virgo cusp produces quite a mixed energetic as we leave the diversionary confusion and foul breezes common to late sidereal Leo and move toward the influence of the Virgin. Early sidereal Virgo is about the preparation and purification of self to serve our greatest well being and achieve our highest evolutionary potential. On a mundane level, Virgo is of hard work; is health conscious and methodical in development and progress; creating order, continuity and stability; new beginnings, cultivation and harvest. Virgo is the sign of agriculture and of our environment; with a meticulous, organized nature and strong focus in communication and logistics.

Note Makemake's path through the northern heavens as this is of utmost significance. Makemake has recently entered Coma Berenicies, the Crown of the Virgin—having just crossed and conjoined the Gamma star of Coma. Coma Berenicies embodies our spiritual essence and soul guidance. The North Galactic Pole (NGP) resides in Coma (5° sidereal Virgo). This is the northern point of the polar axis around which our entire galaxy spins. The NGP defines a principle geometric relationship between our ecliptic plane and our galaxy. Astrologically, the North Galactic Pole brings confidence, stability, and guidance for the greater evolutionary purpose, mission and fulfillment for our entire soul collective.

Saturn is of structure, form, concretization, establishment and stability. Makemake is audacious, brave, adventurous an of leadership. Makemake's influence appears to be one associated with the administration of material support, financial resources, and ensuring that the basic needs of the people are met. Makemake's passage through Coma (as it approaches the North Galactic Pole) brings attention to our need to administer our resources based upon the messages provided from the natural world around us and from higher spiritual principles, rather from geed and lust. Thus this new Saturn-Makemake cycle initiates the re-structuring of our economic paradigm—and very much in the arena of the old totalitarian world powers and in the midst of their diversionary dramatics—from an entirely new level of conscious awareness. And let us keep in mind that this Saturn-Makemake synod lies in opposition to the Earth-Uranus synod, which marks the start of the new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle; with Uranus and Earth challenging a rather radical extreme change in our economic paradigm and its administrative system with future vision and a much higher intelligence.

We are of course in mid-stream of this few-year radical transition, with a rather dynamic year (2010) ahead, as dismantling Pluto will soon begin to play a significant role, but the nature of this new Saturn-Makemake synod and its opposition to the Earth-Uranus synod lends significant insight into where the underlying evolutionary currents are attempting to lead humanity.

Saturn Squares Pluto: November 15, 2009 - August 21, 2010

The Saturn Pluto Square #1 of 3 (November 15, 2009)

Excerpt from the October 18, 2009 Lunar Planner:

Saturn creates its first square with Saturn on November 15, 2009. Their second square occurs on January 31, 2010. During this time, the two maintain a very tight orb, of about 1°. In the midst of this period, at the end of 2009, Juno, asteroid of covenant relations, will make its final square with Pluto during the Pluto station; and at the same time will oppose Saturn, making a dramatic T-square with Saturn and Pluto on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010, bringing the period of restructuring for relationships to a climatic finale. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic tension) in this T-square. The third Saturn-Pluto square occurs on August 21, 2010.

A new and potent dynamic starts to build in our timeline as Pluto enters the picture on November 15, 2009 with this first Saturn-Pluto square. The intensity of this first square begins a few weeks before November 15; i.e., Saturn moves into a 3° orb in its square with Pluto on October 11, 2009; into a 2° orb on October 20, 2009; and into a 1° orb on November 1, 2009.

This is a 270° square (in contrast to a 90° square). This means that Saturn is approaching its next synod with Pluto rather than moving away from its previous Saturn-Pluto synod. Much like in a lunar cycle, a 90° square creates an "external stimulus to action" whereas a 270° square create an" inner need to initiate change." Expect November 2009 through January 1, 2010 to be quite dynamic, intense and catalyzing, especially for partnerships.

Pluto ensures we address our karmic responsibility and change our personal entrapping patterns of behavior; i.e., being responsible for our personal evolution. Pluto, the opener and great reducer motivates action to participate and cooperate from an all embracing, non-discriminatory world view, rather then from a self-focused, or self-important world view.

The actual 270° Saturn-Pluto (heliocentric) square of the synodic cycle occurs on June 11, 2010 (in the midst of the three geocentric squares). This is a couple degrees past Spica and Archturus (the New Moon stars defining the October 18, 2009 Lunar Cycle, in which this first square occurs), at the upper thighs of the Virgin. It conjoins Izar of Boötes and conjoining stars. Consider what you were doing in December 1982 and what was occurring in the world, as this is a time for change regarding that theme—a time of plowing under the crops and tilling the soil; a time of shedding the dismantling the stage props and personal facades of that entire synodic cycle.

The Saturn-Pluto 32-year Synodic Cycle theme is presented in detail in the article:

The Synodic Cycles of Pluto, Ixion & Quaoar with Jupiter, Saturn, and Nessus
A Historical Timeline & Astrological Exploration 1982-2020

An excerpt:

Saturn in general, is of restriction, limitation, established structures, those physical, administrative, and those of consciousness. These structures, paradoxically, can be supportive, but they can also be experienced as barriers to progress and restricting our freedom unless they change and evolve as the changing times require. Pluto is about use of power and about our inner transformation regarding our responsibility to change, to address our patterns of behavior that keep us entrapped, and regarding how we participate in society.

A Saturn Pluto synthesis in general demands that we make an inner transformation regarding our own use of power in order to move beyond the external authoritarian imposed control and restriction that we may experience in our lives. This can be a hard lesson until we learn that the change required is one we need to make on the inside before the release of restriction occurs on the outside. Thus the Saturn-Pluto cycle is one demanding an evolution in the very structure of our consciousness. It demands we evolve our capacity to become increasingly more responsible with our use of power.

A Saturn Pluto synthesis is also about the administration and control of power and the structure through which those in power function; as well as overthrows or turnings in authoritarian systems of power and in their administration. The systems of power emerging in 1982 are thus of significance, and we will be making the 270° point of transition / change occurring in this cycle in 2009-2010, and completing the cycle in 2020.

This synod occurs in early sidereal Libra (2° 36') under the skirt of the Virgin... Saturn-Pluto theme continues...

When exploring the theme of the 1982 Saturn-Pluto synod, we can see that this 2010 270° turning (which starts with an inner need to change in the few years leading into the June 2010 synodic square) marks the time of (plowing under the crops) dismantling the structure of the current administrative system of power and control. It marks a time of removing the facades and exposing the real players and issues behind the stage setting. This occurs in the synodic theme defined by early sidereal Libra, at the thighs of the Virgin and "under the skirt of the Virgin." This is about the political, religious figureheads, hidden agendas and specifically about whether our current administrative system governing power creates the environmental conditions that ensure the emergence of a new consciousness on Earth, and is one that creates a societal modality that supports the healthy evolution of that new emerging consciousness.

As presented in previous articles, Pluto passage through sidereal Sagittarius, which began in 2006; as Pluto crosses Galactic Center and Gate of Good, suggests that Pluto will begin to shifts its role in our lives—as opener to a greater truth, to galactic level awareness; to that which the Zen Archer stands for. This 270° Saturn-Pluto square supports the disintegration of man-made structural facades that cover-up the real truth underlying the shenanigans of humankind. Pluto in Sag ensures this greater and more durative truth will not be stifled.

Generational Aspects to Consider:

Consider the December 1982 generation, as this year (2010) marks a primary change in their personal cycles, especially in the structure of consciousness. Also consider those experiencing significant Saturn aspects, such as a Saturn return, Saturn opposition, squares; as well as aspects with Pluto. For example, a person that is ~29 or ~59 of age now (2009-2010) is going through a Saturn Return, and thus has Pluto square that return. A going through Saturn opposition is also experiencing a very potent Saturn-Pluto-natal Saturn T-square. Similarly, a person going through a Saturn square is also experiencing potent T-square—just a few examples. We can see this is a very dynamic time for many people and for specific generations—a time of revolution and drastic change in the personal lives of many. The threshold of change for these people will occur after June of 2010. It will mark the break away point; and the decade to follow will be one cultivating the ground for a new administrative system of power to emerge in 2020.

Saturn Pluto Synodic Cycles - A Historical Exploration

This article explores the historical events occurring in the previous Saturn-Pluto Synodic cycles and during the primary phase changes occurring within those cycles, like the 270° square occurring in 2009-2010; see the article:

The December 2009 Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square

December 24, 2009 through January 1, 2010

Introduction

The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square is the grand finale event of the recent several-month "restructuring of relationships"—a radical transition that has been occurring in relationships of all types, those of a personal nature, and those of business and politics. (See the above section: Relationships in Transition.) The grand finale of December 2009 occurs due to a dynamic T-square created by the asteroid Juno and the already occurring Saturn-Pluto square, which recently began in November 2009. The T-square will be initially triggered on the First Quarter Moon of Decmber 24, 2009 as the Sun conjoins Pluto and the Moon conjoins Juno opposite Saturn. This will create a dynamic "external stimulus to action." The T-square will continue through the Gibbous Moon as Venus conjoins Pluto, and then through the Full Moon eclipse of December 31 and into the "day of realization," which occurs just after the Full Moon, on January 1, 2010. A "T-square" is like a cross-bow, one that must fire. In this case it is Pluto that is firing right through the already occurring "restructuring of relationships." This finale creates an opening, one that demands we let go and live true to heart. With this heart-driven momentum, relationships will then move into a new octave of experience. Some will end, while others, more appropriate for the future, will begin; and some may just transform into a new octave of experience.

An excerpt from the Decmber 16, 2009 Lunar Planner

First Quarter Moon: Initiate Action &
The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square

The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square ephemeris

The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Our First Quarter Moon occurs on December 24 conjoining Juno, the asteroid of covenant relationships and mutual equality, in early sidereal Pisces, with the Moon-Juno conjunction opposite Saturn. At the same time, the Sun and Pluto conjoin; all of which kick off the Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square. This dynamic First Quarter Moon begins the explosive grand finale in the recent several-month period of "restructuring of relationships." This T-square will continue through January 1, 2010. Venus will trigger the T-square on the Gibbous Moon as Venus conjoins Pluto on December 27-28. Juno will make its exact square to Pluto on December 28, just after the Gibbous Moon. Juno will then make its exact opposition to Saturn the day after the Full Moon eclipse of December 31, 2009. Saturn and Pluto maintain a very tight square from mid-November 2009 through the entire month of January 2010. The Saturn-Pluto square will continue well into August 2010. More about Juno.

The Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square

A "T-square" is like a cross-bow, one that must fire. In this case it is Pluto that is firing right through the already occurring "restructuring of relationships." This finale creates an "opening," one that demands we let go and live true to heart. With this heart-driven momentum, relationships will then move into a new octave of experience. Some will end, while others, more appropriate for the future, will begin; and some existing relationships may just transform into a new octave of experience.

The Sun-Pluto conjunction also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current Earth-Pluto 367-day synodic cycle, which began on the Solstice New Moon of June 22-23, 2009. The theme of this cycle was defined by the Solar Apex in early sidereal Sagittarius and also involved the asteroid Vesta. The June 22, 2009 New Moon theme and the Earth-Pluto synodic theme is presented in the June 22, 2009 Lunar Planner.

In brief, the June 22 New Moon-Vesta theme occurring in sidereal Gemini (opposite Earth-Pluto) was about getting clear and focused in how we are participating in the world, to stand forth in cooperative action amongst colleagues and friends. The current Earth-Pluto cycle is one about relinquishing limiting beliefs and associated patterns of behavior that keep us from realizing and embracing the myriad of potential paths for our evolutionary fulfillment. Pluto addresses issues regarding our entrapment in the world and our responsibility to deal with the longer-term ramifications of our actions and life scenarios, our karma, extending beyond a mere lifetime. Pluto demands we address how we co-participate and cooperate with humankind in our daily lives. The Solar Apex embodies the unique and majestic path of the soul. At personal level, the Solar Apex invites us to realize that we each have a soul path that is totally unique to ourselves, a path that is beyond what others may see or even relate to. The Pluto-Solar Apex synodic cycle opens the way for those willing to relinquish paths that are less than those aligned with our true soul uniqueness.

Thus, we can see how the grand finale Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square occurring now, fits well into the current Pluto synodic theme, and why this may catalyze drastic yet opportunistic movement for relationships and partnerships of all types; and why the finale, starting on this First Quarter stimulus-to-action Moon may catapult relationships into a myriad of new directions. Venus' arrival to conjoin Pluto on the Gibbous Moon with further inspire passionate action driven from heart. The Venus-Pluto part of this T-square invites us to live true to heart—anything less is to live a lie.

Juno's placement during this T-square lies in emotional and psychically sensitive sidereal Pisces. Juno conjoins Diphda of Cetus; Eta Horologium; and Eta of Cepheus. These placements suggest that we may feel like relationships are in massive emotional turbulence, and that there is finite time to step forth from that turbulence into a greater personal truth, and into mutually compatible relationships that truly serve us to go forward through the times ahead. If we do not make the changes we know are right for us (regarding our relations and how we interrelate), the thrashing emotional waters may just intensify, or we may be forced to change, despite ourselves, thanks to Pluto. This area of the zodiak is one about sculpting our lives from the very primal essence of life. It is of water, the lymph, and our life fluids—of our life force or Chi (Xi) and its application.

Saturn (opposite Juno) lies in early sidereal Virgo, and conjoins Beta Coma Berenicies; Zaniah of Virgo and Turais of Carina, Argo Navis.

Zaniah, Eta Virgo, is an ecliptical star, less than 2° north in ecliptical latitude. Zaniah inspires the "right use of will" directed by soul-level impulses (Beta Coma Berenicies) and unadulterated by personality or egoic-level influences. Zaniah is also the Chinese "Left-hand Maintainer of Law" (Allen). Zaniah is of Virgin purity—being a clear vessel to know right action—also a feminine quality.

In the southern heavens lies Turais Carina and Phi Velorum, both of Argo Navis, which lies along the galactic equator, and thus is more associated with our longer-term soul-level sojourn and our evolutionary course.

Turais (Aspidiske) of the Argo is a rather rare white supergiant star that shines with a luminosity of 4900 of our suns, with a radius estimated to be about 43 times that of our sun. Turais lies along the gunwale in Carina, the hull of the Argo, under Velorum the sail.

Phi Velorum and the adjoining Pulsar P 0950 reside exactly on the Galactic Equator in the Sail (Velorum) of the Argo. Pulsars in general are beacons for the soul, and in this case, inspiring our attunement to the evolutionary currents beyond our incarnational moment, those of the greater evolutionary process itself. P-0950 has a pulse rate of 1.436551 seconds, which is a frequency of 0.696111729 Hz. Raised a few octaves, this translates to an Alpha brain wave frequency of 11.1377...Hz; and this translates both to infrared and violet wavelengths in the light spectrum. Thus, P-0950 links energy currents occurring in the spiritual realm (crown chakra) with the very root / earth primordial response (Earth Chakra—about a foot below our feet). This pulsar reminds us that to receive our spiritual guidance we must be grounded—like any good antenna.

Galactic Turais and Phi Velorum puts ecliptical Zaniah's "right use of will" into a greater evolutionary context, one with cosmic ramifications that extend throughout spacetime. Our acts of will are not isolated, cut off and limited to the moment itself, but extend into the past-future time-stream of the soul influencing the continuous cosmic currents in soul's greater evolutionary journey in ways that are unseen in the action moment.

Turais asks us to extend our awareness into this time-stream, while Zaniah inspires clear action in the moment from soul's and nature's guiding influence. Thus each action moment is one punctual droplet of many composing a continuous time-stream that formulates the path or wave upon which soul travels. Turais invites us to recognize our actions extend into and influence not only the nature of our own lives, but also the lives of others, effecting the meandering currents in an ocean of being. They set up resonances in spacetime that define the nature of experiences yet to come for our selves and in the evolutionary journey of all involved.

This is not to be confused with attempting to be responsible for others or to define their experience—which is a miss-use of will. The responsibility is for our active and conscious participation from the clarity of our spiritual soul-level guidance expressed in action. Turais demands we act from the awareness of our greater evolutionary journey and adds a sense of "cosmic responsibility" for what is "put into motion" through Zaniah's "right use of will."

Saturn is a concretizing and solidifying force. It is of structure, conformation and of establishing dependable and stable foundations. Saturn's placement here in Virgo invites us to apply personal will, now, responsibly and with conscious consideration for the long-term ramifications. This Saturn dynamic lies opposite the Juno' energetic in Pisces, which emotionally drives our need to sculpt our relationships (those personal) and partnerships (those of business and politics) in a way that lifts us from the trashing emotional waters we may find ourselves in. These two dynamics create the tension of this Cross-Bow; with Pluto (Sun-Venus), inspiring and demanding the expression of a greater integrity and truth in our relations. It is forcing relationships to mature, and thus to either break apart; restructure; or form anew.

Also occuring throughout this lunar cycle and into the next is the Eris-Lunar Nodes T-square. The Moon conjoins Eris on December 25-26, thus also squaring the Lunar Nodes. Mercury also conjoins the North Lunar Node, just as Mercury stations to begin its retrograde.....

The above text about the Juno-Pluto-Saturn grand Finale T-square is from the December 16, 2009 Lunar Planner.

Earth and Saturn begin a new 378-day synodic cycle on the March Equinox of 2010. The theme of this synodic cycle is defined by the stars in early sidereal Virgo, and is presented in detail in the March 15, 2010 Lunar Planner. A synopsis of this lunar cycle can be found in the Lunar Planner Archive.

The New Moon of the lunar month in which th Earth-Saturn synod occurs, conjoins Mercury and Uranus, which lie opposite Makemake. The March 15 New Moon occurs on the cusp of sidereal Pisces. The planetary alignment is Uranus-Mercury-Sun-Moon-Earth-Makemake. The Sun-Earth-Makemake alignment marks the start of a new 367-day Earth-Makemake (synodic) cycle—on the cusp of sidereal Virgo. The Earth-Sun-Mercury-Uranus alignment marks the midpoint of vision and realization in the current Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. Needless to say the March 15, 2010 is a significant lunar cycle.

The Earth-Uranus synod also occurred during the Uranus-Juno conjunction and near the start of the new Juno-Uranus synodic cycle, which also occurred exactly on the cusp of sidereal Pisces in "the circlet" of Pisces—the same theme as the March 15, 2010 New Moon theme. The Juno-Uranus conjunction and the new Juno-Uranus synod marked a time of radical changes in relationships and partnerships of all types. Also occurring was the Saturn-Uranus 44-year cycle midpoint—the peak of a cycle that began in June of 1988. All of this was presented in the August 20, 2009 Lunar Planner (and above in this article).

The New Earth-Makemake Synodic Cycle (March 15, 2010)

An Excerpt from the March 15 Lunar Planner:

...Makemake is currently crossing the cusp of sidereal Virgo, but is north of the ecliptic entering Coma Berenices, and lies under the auspices of Benetnasch of Ursa Major. The new Earth-Makemake synodic cycle theme, also a part of this lunar cycle's theme, provides perspective to our cuspal Pisces Mercury-Uranus New Moon by bringing attention to the administration of financial resources in our lives, and providing for our basic physical needs.

Makemake's current placement is a part of that which is bringing to light the manipulations and restructuring occurring in government-big business, banking and global finance. Although newly discovered, and thus with minimal verifiable astrological influence, Makemake appears to bring attention to leadership issues, especially regarding those seeking leadship positions regarding the administration of resources and what they are willing to risk to gain those positions. Makemake continues to play a key role in this planetary cycles timeline that began in late 2008 and continues through early 2011....

The New Earth-Saturn Synodic Cycle (March 21, 2010)

An Excerpt from the March 15 2010 Lunar Planner:

The Equinox Sun also lies opposite to Saturn and squares Ceres, which lies on the Gate of God (5° sidereal Sagittarius). This means that the Sun, Earth and Saturn align, which initiates a new 378-day Earth-Saturn synodic cycle. The Earth-Saturn synod occurs the day after the equinox (March 21-22), but all aspects remain within a degree orb. The last Earth-Saturn cycle began on March 8, 2009 in late sidereal Leo, presented in the February 25, 2009 Lunar Planner (and above in this article). This previous Saturn synodic cycle was key in the Saturn-Makemake Uranus opposition, which brought emphasis to the upheaval, restructuring and exposure of the covert and manipulative shenanigans occurring in the old totalitarian government, big business and financial paradigms.

The new Earth-Saturn synodic cycle occurs in early Virgo (about a degree past the current location of the anti-vernal point). Earth and Saturn lie between the longitudes of the North Galactic Pole (NGP) (5° sidereal Virgo) and our Super Galactic Center (SGC). These entries and a few principal galaxies at this zodiacal longitude define the theme of this new Earth-Saturn cycle. Conjoining are: a pair of spiral galaxies called "The Eyes," NGC 4438/35, which lies in Virgo; the brightest galaxy in the Coma Berenices Galactic Cluster, NGC 4889; and Galaxy M87, which marks the center of our Super Galactic cluster of galaxies.

This few-degree location in sidereal Virgo might be considered to embody the high spiritual essence of the Virgin. It is of light, illumination, of spiritual integrity and of soul / source guidance and awareness—creating an energetic quite different from the placement of the previous Earth-Saturn synod. (Also see the Spiral of Earth-Saturn synods.)

Coma Berenices (halo or crown of the Virgin) embodies our spiritual essence and soul guidance. The North Galactic Pole (NGP) resides in Coma (5° sidereal Virgo). This is the northern point of the polar axis around which our entire galaxy spins. The NGP defines a principle geometric relationship between our ecliptic plane and our galaxy. Astrologically, the North Galactic Pole brings confidence, stability, and guidance for the greater evolutionary purpose, mission and fulfillment for all souls.

The Eyes, a pair of spiral galaxies (NGC 4438/35) of Virgo, is an appropriate name base on their bright beauty peering through a chain of galaxies, but also suggests a watchful Spiritual Power or Divine Intelligence expressing through this Super Galactic Portal (SGC)—the essence of the Divine Mother principle.

M100 Spiral Galaxy in the Virgo Cluster

M100 Spiral Galaxy in the Virgo Cluster
Image Credit: Hubble, NASA and STScI - The Virgo Cluster has about 2000 member galaxies, in which our Local Supercluster (also called Virgo or Coma-Virgo Supercluster) resides.

Super Galactic Centre might be considered that spiritual essence from which life precipitates in our entire galactic neighborhood—a place of spiritual nourishment.

Our Galaxy, the Milky Way, is a whirling disc composed of hundreds of billions of stars, of which our sun is one, spinning around a dense and massive bulge of stars called the Galactic Nucleus or Galactic Centre. Our galaxy is one of about 30 galaxies comprising a cluster of galaxies called our "Local Group." The galaxies in our Local Group gently revolve around each other much like organisms floating in a protective embryonic fluid.

Our Local Group is merely one galactic cluster of many that comprise yet a large group called our "Local Super Cluster." All of these embryonic clusters, harboring many evolving galaxies and forms of life, are like protective cocoons floating within the care of our Local Super Cluster.

The Coma-Virgo Cluster, one of the larger members of the Super Cluster, a highly non-uniform galaxy cluster, and the closest to us, is comprised of many hundreds of galaxies, ranging from giant and massive elliptical galaxies and spirals like our Milky Way, to dwarf galaxies, hundreds of times smaller. "Sub-clusters of galaxies" are seen to be forming around the major galaxies in the Coma-Virgo Cluster (around Messier 87, Messier 86 and Messier 49), which have yet to coalesce into new galaxy clusters of their own, revealing the continuing creative unfoldment of the Coma-Virgo Cluster.

Recent observations also reveal a sparse population of stars in the intra-cluster space of the Virgo Cluster—the space between galaxies in the cluster. Also found within this population were several hundreds of planetary nebulae wandering within the gravity field of the whole cluster. Planetary nebulae are stars, much like our own sun, but in their final dying phase. At this point in their (old soul) lives, they eject their outer layers, the experiential mass they had accumulated, and unveil their small and hot stellar core, which appears as a "white dwarf star"—their coalesced wisdom, their naked essence. The intra-cluster population of floating stars and these "old soul cosmic wanderers" are a new revelation articulating yet another facet of our Super Cluster and the astrological character of our Super Galactic Center.

The Coma-Virgo Cluster lies at the center of our Local Super Cluster. "Super Galactic Centre" (SGC) is a term that refers to a point in the Virgo Cluster that marks the centre of our entire Super Cluster. The supergiant galaxy M87 in the Coma-Virgo Cluster is believed to mark or lie very close to the Super Galactic Centre. M87 has a halo extending out to at least 65 kpc (more than 200,000 light-years), which is more than twice the size of our own galaxy. Our galaxy, nested in our Local Group, lies about 50 million light years from the Super Galactic Centre in the Coma-Virgo Cluster.

If this is not expansive enough for one's mere mortal mind, this vast field of consciousness, which suspends an unlimited number of galactic clusters, all unique with their own galaxies and their diverse star systems, is also filled with "Dark Matter," matter that we do not see. Space, at one time thought of as empty, is finally recognized to be comprised of substance—perhaps a step toward recognition of the Creative Intelligence permeating space, time and matter. Honoring this underlying or transcendent nature of reality, astrophysicists have come to call Dark Matter, "Quintessence," a term once used by Aristotle to describe the eather. We call this, all of the astrophysical diversity we have come to detect, this field of magnificent stellar creation, our "Known Universe"; and what we see in it, is but through our very limited, electromagnetic-spectrum, lightspeed-dependent modality of perception. Yet still, it appears this Known Universe is too but a bubble of perception amongst an infinity.

This synod definitely marks a significant shift in the Earth-Saturn spiral of synodic cycles. Stoic Saturn expresses a concretizing and solidifying force. Saturn motivates structure, conformation and confidence; and for us to be responsible, dependable and stable. Uranus opposite Saturn had been challenging the already established systems and structures to change—radically, and will continue to do so for the next few months. However, Jupiter will soon move to conjoin Uranus as the last Uranus-Saturn opposition comes to its completion mid-year. Thus, in addition to this new Saturn synodic theme engaging now, which invites responsible allegiance to a purer, more spiritual truth, and to establish foundations based in this purity, the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, starting in early June and continuing into early 2011, will mobilize and expand upon the changes already occurring in the existing political, business and financial societal establishments. This all indicates an evolutionary progression leading us from the last two years of dramatic antics; with a refreshing change of tone occurring this year.

Ceres also creates a T-square to the solstice Sun-Saturn opposition; and Mars trines the Sun, is sextile Saturn, and is inconjunct to Ceres. This Equinox Geometry brings attention to Ceres, mother of the asteroids (now appropriately recognize as a "Dwarf Planet). Ceres, the mother of the main asteroids, brings awareness to how we nurture and to that which is truly nurturing to us. Ceres embodies mothering and agricultural qualities and brings attention to our relation with the Earth, the land, and the seasons. Ceres can also indicate where we have attachments and need to let go; or where we may experience oscillations from lack to abundance, fertility to bareness. The inconjunct between Mars and Ceres invites a active creative solution for that which is truly nurturing. More about Ceres.

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #4 - April 26, 2010

Saturn-Uranus oppositions #4 & #5 with Jupiter and Pluto

Saturn-Uranus oppositions #4 & #5 Jupiter's entry to oppose Saturn and conjoin Uranus, and the Great Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square

Overview

Saturn and Uranus make the fourth of their five oppositions just before the Full Moon of this lunar cycle. We will feel another catalytic squeeze as they approach this opposition. This event also marks entry into a very dynamic and transitional four-month period occurring in 2010. Saturn, Uranus and Makemake (one of our newly discovered and very significant planets) have key roles in the ongoing global financial restructuring. Uranus began its opposition to Saturn on November 4, 2008. Saturn will soon move from its prominent placement in our current timeline and mobilizing and expansive Jupiter will take over as it begins its several month conjunction with Uranus, which begins in the following lunar cycle. The shift in emphasis from Saturn to Jupiter will catalyze a massive transition in this few year timeline; and a potent grand Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square, occurring in July and August, will hallmark the climax of this transition. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction occuring throughout the second half of 2010 will mobilize and magnify the radical changes already in process. This should be a welcomed shift. Makemake will continue to play a prominent role along with Jupiter and Uranus through early 2011.

The Fourth Opposition

Saturn and Uranus make the fourth of their five oppositions on April 26, 2010. The fifth will occur in late July. Jupiter makes its grand entry in the midst of this final Saturn-Uranus gateway created by the fourth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions. (shown to the right). The Moon triggers the fourth opposition a day before the conjunction, on April 25, as the Moon conjoins Saturn. Expect an intense day.

This Saturn-Uranus opposition occurs in early Virgo-Pisces; with retrograde Saturn just a couple of degrees before the location of the Earth-Saturn synod in early Virgo. Saturn conjoins the Super-giant Spiral galaxy M100 in Coma Berenices; and Beta, Theta, and Gamma Crateris (the cup). Also of influence is the North Galactic Pole (NGP), which defines the orientation of our galaxy and the "Gate of God" (5° Sag) and "Gate of Man" (5° Gem), which are square to the galactic pole (where the March equinox Earth-Saturn synod occurred)—thus with a stellar energetic similar to the Saturn synodic theme.

This few degree location in sidereal Virgo might be considered as the high spiritual essence of the Virgin; It is of light, illumination, of spiritual integrity, and of soul / source guidance and awareness. This is also near the location of Huamea's Aphelion. Haumea, a newly discovered Dwarf Planet, supports a new birth in consciousness. More about Haumea.

Southern Crateris the Cup (sometimes called the Cup of Salvation) embodies our greater fulfillment in life based on true spiritual principles waiting to be discovered, but which can be obscured by the totalitarian manipulative power-plays of those spouting they have the enlightenment to lead humanity to freedom.

This location in the ecliptic is one that asks us to discern whether we are blindly following self-proclaimed totalitarian authoritarian political-religious rulers and gurus and their propaganda or if we are seeking a deeper fulfillment based in and guided by true spiritual principles—trusting our own inner guidance.

Uranus resides in early Pisces and conjoins Scheat of Pegasus and Gamma Phoenix. This is also near the location of Huamea's Perihelion. Also of influence is the South Galactic Pole (SGP) and the Sculptor Galaxy NGC 253.

Scheat reveals the essence of early sidereal Pisces and the very foundation of life—water. Scheat brings attention to our life force and the use of it. Scheat also brings attention to the waters of life and to the purity of our body fluids, especially our "lymph," which means Flowing Spirit of the Living Waters of Life. Scheat pertains to all waters of the world, but also to body fluids, especially water's relationship to the purification of the physical vehicle and the body's requirement for refined life force energies to express through the fluids molecular matrix. Scheat also brings attention to our blood, sacred sexual fluids and saliva, as well as to the types of fluids that we bring into our bodies. The purity and movement of the lymph and blood is not only essential for the elimination of toxins, but is also required for the transference of subtle light energies of cosmic intelligence (our soul's essence) to express through our genetic coding. The more light we express the truer we express the vibrancy of our souls, and the more life giving spirit substance we embody. This is why peoples throughout history have sought Living Water—healing springs flowing endlessly from the ground of their own accord, water said to bring immortality—the word immortality here meaning "not being subject to premature degeneration and death." Alignments with Scheat ask us to consider what we are doing with our primordial life force, how we are using our Chi / Xi, our primal energy. Scheat also asks us to integrate our primordial essence with our spiritual essence—to realize they are one flowing life-giving force.

Saturn-Uranus opposition #4 aspecting Orcus, Neptune and Chiron

Saturn-Uranus oppositions #4 aspecting Orcus, Neptune and Chiron

The Saturn-Uranus opposition also aspects Orcus and Neptune-Chiron, which are also opposite. This stimulates a challenging opportunity for creative solution.

The Neptune/Chiron-Orcus axis lies 30° from the Saturn-Uranus axis. Thus the semi-sextile aspect (30° harmonic) aspect between Saturn and Orcus creates an opportunity for growth—to learn how to ally these to energetics or forces in strength. The semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune-Chiron does the same. The two crossing inconjunct aspects (150° harmonics) between Saturn and Neptune-Chiron, and between Uranus and Orcus stimulate an opportunity for creative solution between their respective energetics. Thus, our Saturn-Uranus opposition becomes far more dynamic in character.

Neptune and Chiron reside in early sidereal Aquarius conjoining Gienah, tip of the wing of Cygnus and Cygnus X-3, which lies on the galactic plane. (Neptune and Chiron were recently conjunct (Chiron is now about 2° past Neptune) The two began a compounded synodic cycle with Jupiter back in September 2009; the theme of which is presented above: Jupiter-Chiron.)

Cygnus X-3 resides in a unique galactic equatorial area, one of the galactic "sacks of coal," a dark void along the galactic plane (easily identified between Sadr and Deneb on a dark starry night). Cyg X-3 provides opportunity to peer beyond the dualities of life due to the absence of "forms" created by the interplay of light. Cyg X-3 offers the opportunity to relinquish segregations based on sex, creed, or culture. Here we cannot wear or hide behind our mortal facades. We are asked to participate from our true unique soul essence and to see the same in others. We are asked to embrace all people from an androgynous perspective transcending soul's incarnational experience in the duality of sexuality. Mutually exclusive attractions based on gender, race, or creed create factions amongst our true soul-level friends and families. Here lies the embracing aspect of the Aquarian Waterman, the inclusiveness of Universal / Uranian love.

Orcus lies opposite conjoining Regulus of Leo. Orcus, compliment to Pluto, addresses how we are applying our personal will for the greater well being of all humanity; how we are contributing to human society. Orcus motivates the use of our day-to-day lives, our daily activity for soul's greater purpose on Earth—to live the oaths of our souls. Orcus is currently bathed in stellar light of Regulus, creating an environment of personal integrity in leadership. More about Orcus.

If we follow the progression of the previous Saturn-Uranus oppositions, we can clearly see a progressive shift occurring in these oppositions; with the first November 2008 opposition and the second opposition of February 2009 occurring when Saturn was in late Leo (of diversions, smoke screens), muc different thatn Saturn's current placement in early Virgo. In addition to the different stellar alignments of each conjunction and the unique aspects associated with each, the forth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions occur in the entirely new Virgo Earth-Saturn synodic cycle. They also occur after the September 2009 mid-point of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle, which began on June 9, 1988. This is a time of realization in this greater cycle, that is, a time of realizing the meaning of this cycle in our lives. This larger cycle is discussed above: Sept_09.

This September 2009 mid-point also coincided with the "Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition" (the Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake alignment), which marked the start of a new 32-year Saturn-Makemake Synodic Cycle (presented above). Thus, the theme of the Saturn-Makemake cycle is just emerging. So the forth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions also occur in emergence of this new Saturn-Makemake cycle.

There are many additional planetary configurations occurring in the April 14, 2010 Lunar Cycle that surround and augment the fourth Saturn-Uranus Opposition. See the April 14, 2010 Lunar Planner.

Jupiter Opposes Saturn and Makemake
and Cojoins Uranus: May-June 2010
Movement and Expansion

In the midst of the forth and fifth Saturn-Uranus oppositions, Jupiter joins Uranus stimulating expansive movement of the radical changes already occurring. Jupiter takes a primary role in the 2008-2011 timeline starting in May of 2010 and continuing through March of 2011. Throughout this time, Jupiter opposes Saturn and Makemake; conjoins Uranus; and will square Pluto.

Overview

Massive Jupiter begins its several month opposition to Saturn and its several month conjunction with Uranus in this lunar cycle. Jupiter's prominent arrival into the few-year timeline of aspects involving Saturn, Makemake, Uranus and Pluto, brings a tremendous shift in this timeline. The Jupiter-Uranus synthesis will mobilize, magnify and expand upon the radical changes already occurring in our lives. Jupiter-Saturn oppositions are generally quite potent, especially if they occur within orb to Earth's Precessional Cross, which this one does (and especially with Jupiter conjoining Uranus at the same time). For example, there were three major New Madrid Earthquakes occurring between mid-December 1811 and early-February 1812 estimated to be 7.5 to 7.7 in magnitude, all with several major aftershocks. At the time, Saturn and Jupiter were in opposition, and within a critical orb to Earth's Precessional Cross. Saturn was exactly on the Gate of God (GEN) of the precessional cross on the December 16 quake (with a 7.0 aftershock); and Jupiter was exactly on the Gate of Man of the precessional cross at the time of the second two quakes of January 23 and February 7. This is not to say our current opposition will produce major seismicity, although quite possible. We can however expect a massive and unexpected turn of events that certainly can be of beneficent nature in the long run, even if not appearing so at the onset. Although not on Earth's precessional cross, the previous Jupiter-Saturn opposition in 1989 produced two major events: The Loma Prieta (San Francisco) Earthquake, which occurred on October 17, 1989 during the Saturn-Jupiter opposition. It was triggered by a Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square. The Berlin Wall was opened in November of the same year, triggered by Venus (and Uranus) in primary aspect to the Jupiter-Saturn opposition.

Jupiter Opposite Saturn #1 May 22, 2010

Jupiter makes its first opposition to Saturn on May 22-23, 2010. The Jupiter-Saturn opposition will continue through March 28, 2011. During this time Jupiter also opposes Makemake, will conjoin Uranus, and will square Pluto. Jupiter's prominent aspects with these planets initiate a time of dynamic mobilization and expansion. The Moon triggers this first opposition on May 22 by conjoining Saturn.

Jupiter is exactly 2° from its conjunction with Uranus, which will occur on the Balsamic Moon of this lunar cycle. So due to the tight orb of all involved, we experience the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in opposition to Saturn as one event, starting now and continuing through this entire lunar cycle—with Jupiter-Uranus opposite Moon-Saturn now. Saturn is also stationing to complete its retrograde, which occurs just after the Full Moon, adding another dynamic to the potency of this compounded event. The time leading into a Saturn station can feel like time is standing still.

Earth's Precessional Cross

Earth's Precessional Cross

In addition, this all occurs on Earth's Precessional Cross, with Jupiter-Uranus on the vernal point and Saturn on the anti-vernal point. Of course the vernal axis is currently square to the galactic equatorial axis (the Gate of God 5° at sidereal Sag and the Gate of Man at 5° sidereal Gemini). The placement of the Jupiter-Uranus opposition to Saturn on the Precessional Cross does two things. It greatly intensifies this conjunction / opposition; and it also creates a primary activation of Earth's Precessional Cross, which basically means it creates a primary stimulus in the current 270° transition that is occurring in Earth's ~25,000-year Precessional Cycle—in this greater transition that is presently occurring in our entire evolutionary cycle on Earth. This should herald a tremendous acceleration and mobilization of radical change on Earth and in our lives. The actual Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on the Balsamic Moon will be even more dynamic, which I will get to later in this Lunar Planner.

Jupiter's several month opposition to Saturn marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current ~20-year Jupiter-Saturn (synodic) cycle that began on June 22, 2000. The actual (synodic) mid-point occurs in the midst of the opposition, which is not until February 23, 2011. However the theme of this major world cycle is now entering its climax.

The Jupiter-Saturn synod of June 22, 2000 occurred, very curiously, at the same location as this New Moon, in late sidereal Aries (within 0.5?). How's that for cosmic synchronicity? Thus it has a similar theme as this lunar cycle—creative and inventive; but also volatile, quickly eruptive or explosive. Does this sound like our recent societal mode?

A Saturn-Jupiter synthesis, in general, effects areas of life such as economics, business, politics, law, social issues, education, philosophy and religion. Jupiter wants to expand and mobilize what Saturn has concretized and put into place, and conversely, Saturn wants to structure and conform Jupiter's grander expansive ideals. Jupiter and Saturn cycles play a principle role in our societal cycles of growth.

Saturn Direct May 30, 2010

Saturn returns direct from its retrograde on May 30. This marks the full engagement of the new 378-day Earth-Saturn synodic cycle that began on March 22, 2010. This is significant, not only due to the Jupiter-Uranus opposition to Saturn, but also because this new Earth-Saturn cycle theme is dramatically different than the previous cycle, which brought a significant shift in the Earth-Saturn spiral of synodic cycles—explained in the March 15, 2010 Lunar Planner. Neptune begins its retrograde a day later, on May 31, 2010, just before the Disseminating Moon.

The New Mars-Saturn Synodic Cycle June 1, 2010

Mars and Saturn initiate a new 2-year synodic cycle on June 1, 2010 stimulating a new dynamic of responsible creative action. This synod occurs in early sidereal Virgo—also with a theme quite different that the previous Mars-Saturn cycle. The previous cycle began in May of 2008 and its synod occurred in mid sidereal Leo. The theme of this cycle, which was set by Alioth of Ursa Major and Thuban of Draco was presented in the May 5, 2008 Lunar Planner.

The theme of this cycle is defined by Theta of Bootes; Beta of Coma Berenices; Zeta Crateris; Zaniah of Virgo and Turais Carina of Argo Navis.

Theta Bootes, along with Iota and Xi for the finger tips of the upraised hand of Bootes warding off the manipulative and diversionary tactics of Benetnasch. Benetnasch, the tail of the Great Bear, mentioned above, is of the old totalitarian world powers. Bootes, the Virgin's consort and protector, stands over the Virgin giving birth, over the cusp of Virgo-Libra. He ensures that the Virgin is protected and removed from such manipulations, and has the proper environment to produce an unadulterated birth—to ensure souls are free to birth, evolve and grow in their highest potential. More about this can be found in the "Astronomical Truth of the Virgin."

Coma Berenices (Berenices' hair) is the halo or crown of the Virgin and embodies our spiritual essence and soul guidance. The North Galactic Pole (NGP) resides in Coma (5° sidereal Virgo), as does our Super Galactic Center (SGC) (~7° sidereal Virgo). The Mars Saturn synod occurs about 2° past the longitude of Super Galactic Center. This few degree location in sidereal Virgo might be considered as the high spiritual essence of the Virgin; It is of light, illumination, of spiritual integrity and of soul / source guidance and awareness. Beta Coma invites us to follow and live by our more embracing soul awareness and spiritual guidance.

Zaniah, Eta Virgo, is an ecliptical star, less than 2° north in ecliptical latitude. Zaniah inspires the "right use of will" directed by soul-level impulses and unadulterated by personality or egoic-level influences. Zaniah is also the Chinese "Left-hand Maintainer of Law" (Allen). Zaniah is of Virgin purity—being a clear vessel to know right action—also a feminine quality.

Eta Carina in Argo Navis

Nearby Eta Carina in Argo Navis

One of the Universe's most impressive stars, Eta Carinae, is one of the most massive stars in our Milky Way, over 100 times the mass of the Sun and about four million times brighter, making it the most luminous star known. Eta Carinae is highly unstable, and prone to violent outbursts, most notably the false supernova event in 1842. For just a few years, Eta Carinae became the second brightest star in the night sky and produced almost as much visible light as a supernova explosion (the usual death throes of a massive star), but it survived. Eta Carinae is also thought to have a hot companion that orbits around it in 5.54 years, in an elliptical orbit. Both stars have strong winds, which collide, leading to interesting phenomena.

Eta Carina is Lord of the Waves (the Akkadian Ea (Ia), the Sumerian Enki, chief god of the city Eridhu—he who warned Noah), generally is considered the foreteller of impending catastrophe, but also the instructor of the way through such evolutionary transitions.

"This Arabian name has led to some confusion regarding the nature of this star, even confused to be part of Puppis the stern of the Argo, but it lies along the gunwale in Carina, the hull of the Argo, under Velorum the sail." (Allen)

Thus, this pulsar links energy currents occurring in the spiritual realm (crown chakra) with the very root / earth primordial response (Earth Chakra—about a foot below our feet).

In contrast to the last Mars-Saturn cycle, which was more about learning responsibility about forceful action and manipulation of evolutionary affairs in the past (certainly coming out in the wash now), this cycle is more about the right use of will to establish a durative environment supportive of the evolutionary fulfillment of souls, protected from the manipulations of the totalitarian puppet masters (government and big business).

The Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction #1 & Earth's Precessional Cross
June 8, 2010

The time we've been waiting for occurs from Last Quarter Moon (June 4, 2010) through the Balsamic Moon June 8, 2010). The door opens where we are now swept into vast movement and expansion of radical and perhaps more unexpected change—continuing through the many months ahead. The Moon conjoins Jupiter and Uranus just after Last Quarter Moon, during the time of "initiating change" in the lunar cycle (on June 5-6). The Last Quarter Moon acts as a primary lunar trigger for the Jupiter Uranus conjunction. The Moon briefly conjoins Eris on June 7-8, the great disruptor; and the actual Jupiter Uranus conjunction occurs on June 8, just hours before the Balsamic Moon—which brings this lunar cycle to its completion and sets the seed that will spout into the next lunar cycle's theme

Jupiter-Uranus opposite Saturn

This first Jupiter-Uranus conjunction occurs on the Vernal Point of Earth's Precessional Cross and also creates a Grand Square with Saturn, Ceres and Juno. Saturn of course lies opposite of Jupiter-Uranus. Ceres resides on the "Gate of God" at 5° Sagittarius and Juno resides on the "Gate of Man" at 5° sidereal Gemini. Mars, Orcus, Neptune and Chiron also aspect the Grand Square. Mars and Orcus conjoin Regulus at 5° sidereal Leo opposite Neptune and Chiron in early Aquarius—all creating one powerful portal and geophysical resonance. The entire geometry is trigger by the Moon in early Aries, which also creates a YOD with Neptune-Chiron to Saturn. This is a primary activation of the Earth's Precessional Cross 270° portal of evolutionary change.

Jupiter and Uranus make their first conjunction in the midst of the fourth and fifth triggers of the Saturn-Uranus opposition—within in a very tight and potent window shown in the graphic ephemeris below. Jupiter and Uranus make their second conjunctive trigger on September 19, just after Jupiter makes its primary square with Pluto and forms the upcoming and also very potent Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square of August. Jupiter continues to oppose Makemake and Saturn and makes is final trigger with Uranus on January 4, 2011, exactly opposite Makemake. Jupiter finishes the entire timeline, making its final square to Pluto and then its final opposition to Saturn in late March of 2011.

Jupiter Uranus Saturn Makemake Pluto Graphic Ephemeris 2010-2011

This first conjunction on the Vernal Point of the Precessional Cross, conjoining Scheat of Pegaus, is about water and the use of our life force. It motivates our re-integration of the spiritual with the primordial. Either humanity learns to participate with one another and with Earth as one living organism or we pay the price of perpetuating severe discord.

During this several month Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, the Jupiter-Uranus synod occurs. This takes place during the September 2010 "Synodic Synchronization"—the Sun-Earth-Jupiter-Uranus alignment. This event initiates a new ~13.8-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle. The theme of this new cycle will be defined by the stars of early sidereal Pisces (3° 31'), including Scheat of Pegasus and those of Lacerta. The synod occurs very near where this first conjunction occurs, conjoining the Vernal Point of Earth Precessional Cross. We will explore this new theme more when the time comes.

The entire several-month Jupiter-Uranus conjunction marks the transition from the previous 31.8-year cycle into the following one.

The Previous 32-year Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Cycle

The previous Jupiter-Uranus cycle began on March 28, 1997 in sidereal Capricorn (10° 24'). The theme of the previous 31.8-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle was defined by Algedi (Alpha) and Dabih (Beta) of Capricorn; Theta Indus; Theta Aquila; Alpha Microscopium; and Gamma Sagitta.

It is worth exploring the theme of these stars and this previous synodic cycle to provide context for the nature of our recent past and the transition currently at hand.

Keep in mind that when a synodic cycle begins, the two planets are conjoined, thus creating a synthesis of their qualities, which nest in and infuse the stellar energies at the time. That synthesis then unfolds throughout the synodic cycle, making its first square, its opposition, its last square, and then the next synod. For a Jupiter-Uranus synod, Jupiter is a mobilizing and expanding force and will magnify, expand and mobilize the qualities of Uranus. Uranus breaks us from the conformity of the past and inspires us to function from a higher octave of being. Uranus is radical, unconventional, non-conforming, brings the unexpected, is spontaneous, of higher mind, illuminating, inventive with a lightning-like charge. Uranus stimulates a future focus and supports our uniqueness of being.

The first decan of sidereal Capricorn can involve a diversely-intented group of individuals and levels of consciousness, those either covert, manipulative and driven from self-interest (as the character of the old business & military paradigms), and those spiritually aware, of integrity, and who are attuned to the land and environment, including shamans and keepers of sacred knowledge and sacred ways. Here we find native indigenous peoples, often ornately dressed or adorned. This is the world of the shamanistic, the ceremonial, fanaticism, obsession, and passion. Although seemingly driven from personal motive, it is often of those with global vision and interest. Either way, surface appearances, cloaks and facades often shroud who is who in an aura of mystery.

This several degree area of the zodiak is of personal motive and secrecy, of esoteric knowledge, religion, higher education, and science; as well as the secret places and orders associated with such, or merely places of personal retreat and seclusion—but places strategic to one's purpose. Here we find locations such as military-scientific-extraterrestrial bases, hermitages, exclusive retreats, or isolated places with a spiritual focus—sacred sites or places of power under the care of their mysterious stewards. We also find an arsenal of strategic tools (technological or magikal), to either aid or control humanity as well as the skill to use them; and this includes our personal arsenals of strategic tools—how we use what we have is up to us.

This is also where an eloquent and artful play of seduction and consent co-exists; but also one that can be insidiously cunning or even voraciously violent. Hear lies the nature of the tools of business and war: the interplay of people in their sexy disguises, whether cloaked in the eloquent and sleek stealth jet, particle beam laser based satellites; or merely dressed in seductive leather and lace. Microscopic discernment is required to see through the alluring facades inherent in this world of mystery, esoteric knowledge, personal motive, and covert maneuvers, to identify what is truly nurturing verses what just tantalizingly appears to be so.

Algedi and Dabih of Capricorn form the head of the goat. Algedi is of covert and secret places: caves, spiritual or exclusive retreats and sanctuaries—isolated places with a spiritual focus—sacred sites or our places of power. Algedi is also of places of unique purpose: scientific or medical centers, even military / extraterrestrial bases or outposts. Although such places may seem to be isolated, lying helter-skelter upon the Earth, they are strategically and naturally distributed upon Earth’s energy grid. That which occurs at these locations is of significance in the greater evolutionary process for all souls and for the Earth herself because the energy at these points radiates throughout the Earth's energy matrix. Algedi can also be of covert operations, manipulative maneuvers, and all that is secret or hidden behind the scenes. Algedi specifically brings attention to the importance of our personal locations (bases/domiciles)—the resonance of which influences greatly the nature of our experience and the fulfillment of our pursuits.

Indus lies south of early Capricorn, just below Microscopium. Indus, classically the desert Persian, is the native indigenous person, much like the Native American, the Aboriginal, the Desert Arab, or the Mountain Shaman—sometimes ornately dressed or adorned, and sometimes totally inconspicuous and unassuming. Indus articulates the steward of a special place, a keeper of sacred knowledge and sacred ways. This is the world of the shamanistic, the ceremonial, and passionate. It can even be of fanaticism and obsession. Although seemingly driven from personal motive, it is often of those with a broad global vision and special interest. Either way, surface appearances, cloaks and facades often shroud who is who in an aura of mystery. Indus has a deep respect for the land, for life, and is sensitive to a place's power and purpose.

Aquila Star Chart

Aquila, the northern Eagle, perched high above the Earth, is of removed stillness and astute observation; is of equilibrium and poise, with global vision and local purpose. As Eagle sits high upon its perch, with eyes capable of focusing on the most minute detail (conjoining Microscopium), it assesses, examines, and awaits its opportunity. Removed and alone, Eagle embodies the willingness to examine our deepest emotions and hidden but true feelings; to pin-point our objectives from objective balance, and to then dive into the world with surety and boldness.

Altair, eye of the eagle, and Alshain, Beta Aquila, are of global and extraterrestrial vision; of strategic locations to achieve our purpose, also of military sites as well as Earth's sacred sites. Altair inspires us to perceive from a global, even extraterrestrial perspective; and not merely from a local, isolated view, but with a focus of precision detail. In classical astrology, Altair is of assertive authoritarian militaristic leadership, of military force and power. Friend and siderealist Andrés Takra adds: "Altair has been associated with kings, emperors, conquerors, tyrants, politicians, but also with mystics, occultists, and wise spiritual hierophants of mystery-religions...."

Alpha Microscopium articulates the tendency, capacity, and need for magnification and examination of detail, which is required to see where to apply our knowledge and tools through the diverse facades common to the human world.

Gamma Sagitta, conjoining Alpha Microscopium is the "tip of the missile of Zeus." Sagitta, the missile of Zeus, extends over the first decan of sidereal Capricorn, with its tip, Gamma Sagitta, of significance here. Sagitta embodies our strategic arsenal of tools—whether applied for war or peace—this includes our personal tools to accomplish our goals in the material world. The tip of missile inspires direct application of those tools. Along with Alpha Microscopium we can see how this is fitting to the modern tools of war, such as laser-based satellites and missiles with pin-point accuracy.

From this alone we can certainly see the emphasis of radical development of secretive and advanced technology applied for war over these last 30 years—unfortunately; but this theme has also been supportive of many other technological advancements that aid humanity.

The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction starting now and the upcoming new 32-year Jupiter-Uranus Synoic cycle starting in September of 2010 should herald welcomed change.

Let us also keep in mind that this Jupiter-Uranus theme, now coming to its completion, coincides with the 180° midpoint of the Saturn-Uranus cycle; and these transitions also coincide with the first square (90°) of the current Jupiter-Pluto cycle and the second square (270°) of the current Saturn-Pluto cycle—both of which fuse in the August 2010 Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter T-square—all creating a dynamic several months ahead.

Introduction

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #5 - July 26 2010

July 25, 2010: Wikileaks releases a collection of internal U.S. military logs of the War in Afghanistan, consisting of over 91,000 documents detailing unreported killings of hundreds of Afghan civilians and other incidents related to the war in Afghanistan to The Guardian, The New York Times and Der Spiegel, in one of the biggest leaks in U.S. military history. Wikipedia

The July 11, 2010 Eclipse Lunar Cycle and the following August 10, 2010 lunar cycle are of extreme significance due to the Grand Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square. This is a powerhouse planetary configuration that begins to form early in the July lunar cycle with Jupiter and Pluto maintaining a perfect square for a few weeks. It extends into the following lunar cycle, at which time Saturn joins in to create the potent Grand T-square. The T-square continues for several days leading into the following Full Moon in mid-August 2010. This two-month event should create a major turning in our current few-year planetary timeline, and in our life experience on Earth.

Stimulating Mars moves into position to create a T-square with Jupiter and Pluto in the July lunar cycle, on the Last Quarter Moon, which precedes the Grand T-square of August. This entire time (July through August) may seem similar to a "healing crisis," during which we will be shot through a portal into a new octave of experience.

The fifth and final Saturn-Uranus opposition also occurs in this lunar cycle, during the Jupiter-Pluto square. The Saturn-Uranus opposition began on November 4, 2008, discussed above. Dynamic Mars will act as a primary trigger to the Saturn-Uranus opposition as well as to the Jupiter-Pluto square the July lunar cycle. This entire several-week event creates a primary shift in our current few-year timeline of planetary cycles; during which the emphasis will shift from Saturn's restrictive and oppressive nature (in opposition to Uranus) to the expansive and mobilizing nature of Jupiter (in conjunction with Uranus), which continues into early 2011.

Excerpts from the July 11, 2010 Lunar Planner

Jupiter Square Pluto Begins

A 7.3 and two 7.4 Philippines Earthquakes occurred exactly at the time of the Jupiter Station square Pluto with classic lunar aspects triggering the event. Several after shocks >6.0 continued through the Full Moon. Presented in the Lunar Planner Forum.

Jupiter begins its retrograde on July 23, 2010, and is within 0° 02' to its square with retrograde Pluto. The Moon also conjoins Pluto at this time and squares Jupiter, creating another of many triggers to the Jupiter-Pluto square.

The Full Moon occurs on July 25-26 in sidereal Capricorn. The Sun and Full Moon also aspect the Jupiter-Pluto square (Moon is sextile to Jupiter; Sun is trine to Jupiter and inconjunct to Pluto). The Full Moon conjoins Altair and Alshain of Aquila; Algedi and Dabih of Capricorn; and Theta Indus. The final Saturn-Uranus opposition occurs just after the Full Moon....

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #5

Saturn-Uranus Opposition #5 - July 26 2010

The Final Saturn-Uranus opposition occurs on July 26, hours after the Full Moon and on our day of realization of the lunar theme, conjoining the vernal axis of Earth's Precessinal Cross. The Saturn-Uranus opposition began on November 4, 2008. The five Saturn-Uranus oppositions (November 4, 2008 through July 26, 2010) embrace the synodic mid-point in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle, which began in 1988.

Jupiter and Pluto are a mere 0° 01' to their exact square. Mars (a trigger) is about to conjoin Saturn. Saturn-Uranus opposition and the Jupiter-Pluto square are within a 3° orb, creating the active T-Square.

This final Saturn-Uranus opposition releases the tension and stalemates we have all been experiencing over the last couple of years, although serving humanity to realize the changes required in our societal structure. Revelations will continue regarding the original Saturn-Uranus synodic theme as we enter the second half of this cycle. The theme of the entire 44-yeaar synodic cycle and current synodic opposition was discussed above in detail.

Now as we move through the upcoming Grand T-Square, the Jupiter-Uranus synthesis will begin to dominate; mobilizing and expanding upon the radical changes occurring in our world—which should have a more beneficent character, especially as we move into the end of this year and into 2011.

The Jupiter-Pluto Square & the Jupiter-Pluto Synod Cycle

Due to Jupiter's station, this first Jupiter-Pluto square remains in a tight aspect for several weeks, however the exact square occurs on the August 2-3 Last Quarter Moon, within an hour after the lunar phase shift. Jupiter and Pluto will make their final square on March 28, 2011. The actual synodic square, which is determined from the Sun's perspective (heliocentric), occurs on December 2, 2010. This event marks the first 90° square in the current Jupiter-Pluto 12.7-year synodic cycle that began on November 23, 2007 and which will continue through July 31, 2020.

It is important to note the difference between the Saturn-Pluto square and the Jupiter-Pluto square. The Saturn-Pluto square, which already began with its first two geocentric oppositions, occurring on November 15, 2009 and January 31, 2010, and which will finalize with the third and final square, which forms the August 2010 Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square, is a 270° square. this means that it marks the 3/4 point (or second square) in the Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle. The Jupiter-Pluto square is a 90° square, which is the first square in the Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle.

A 90° square and a 270° square have unique characteristics, as they mark entirely different phase changes in a cycle. Similar to the squares occurring in a lunar cycle, a 90° square (like a First Quarter Moon) creates an external stimulus to engage in action, as we move from the inspirational first quarter of the cycle into the second creative action quarter of the cycle. The 270° square (like a Last Quarter Moon) creates an internal stimulus to create change, as we move from the demonstrable third quarter of the cycle into the last quarter of the cycle, which is a time for change where we plow under the crops, or dismantle the stage setting that served the lunar cycle; also a time of discarding the costumes worn on stage to reveal the true identities of the performers.

Thus, as we enter the last quarter in the Saturn-Pluto cycle, we enter the first quarter in Jupiter-Pluto cycle. The Saturn-Pluto 270° synodic square occurred on June 11, 2010; and the Jupiter-Pluto 90° synodic square occurs on December 2, 2010. However, we experience an overlap of these two events on Earth due to planetary retrogrades—with the climax of this overlap occurring now as the Grand Jupiter-Pluto forms through July and August, 2010. So we can see the shift of emphasis from the Saturn-Pluto square to the Jupiter-Pluto square.

This is one main reason why I tend to speak optimistically about this entire shift occurring now in the 2008-2011 timeline of planetary cycles even though it may seem intense. The other reasons are of course due to the Saturn-Uranus opposition ending while the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction begins (with a similar geocentric overlap occurring for those two events).

The last couple of years (staring in late 2008) were, in part, characterized by the mid-point of realization in the current Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle, and the last few months about the 270° Saturn-Pluto square stimulating an inner need to change regarding the theme of that cycle. The following several months, into early 2011 will be characterized by the new Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle and its new synodic theme emerging in our lives; and the 90° Jupiter-Pluto square stimulating action on the orginal Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle's theme. Again, we can see how our two current lunar cycles are quite pivotal.

An underlying an longer transition is created by the Dwarf Planet Makemake, which is a very prominent and key player in the 2008-2011 timeline, primarily with Uranus remaining in opposition to Makemake from June of 2008 through January of 2011; and also with the Jupiter (now conjoined Uranus) lying in opposition to Makemake from April 2010 through January 2011.

I have discussed all of these events as they occurred in their respective lunar planners; and in the 2008-2011 timeline article; with the exception of the Jupiter-Pluto synodic cycle and the 90° Jupiter-Pluto square now engaging. So let us explore the nature of our current "stimulus to action" that these two planets are now starting to produce.

The Jupiter-Pluto 12.7-year synodic cycle began on November 23, 2007. I presented the theme of this cycle in the November 9, 2007 Lunar Planner. I also presented it in a broader context in the article: "The Synodic Cycles of Pluto, Ixion & Quaoar with Jupiter, Saturn, and Nessus: A Historical Timeline & Astrological Exploration 1982 - 2020."

I'll recap the theme here in brief:

The 2007 Jupiter-Pluto synod occurred in early sidereal Sagittarius between Galactic Center and the Gate of God. This was the first Jupiter-Pluto synod in this area of zodiak since 1758. The 1758 synod actually occurred a few degrees earlier, on cusp of sidereal Scorpio-Sagittarius, conjoining the Sting of the Scorpion, of course producing quite a different theme. The following synod, ~13 years later (May 1771), occurred in later Sagittarius and under the auspices of Aquila the Eagle; Lyra, and the Phoenix. This cycle was also quite significant because it was very close to Pluto's South Node, and thus Jupiter was occulting Pluto, because Pluto was crossing the ecliptic plane and the orbit of Jupiter. I mention this specifically for anyone wishing to research historical events occurring during those times.

Our recent Jupiter-Pluto synod, of November 2007, lying between Galactic Center and the Gate of God, was an extremely significant placement. A theme I suggest stimulating and expansive opening in consciousness—into galactic awareness (meaning into soul-level awareness, and as well as movement and expansion into unified global consciousness—recognizing all life as One). Of course this is also synchronized with Earth's Precessional Cross, making the Jupiter-Pluto synods in Sag more significant, whereas the synods of 18th century were not: and the one now occurs quite near the Gate of God, which is also of extra significance.

This synod would also motivate the revelation of a greater truth; as the Zen archer tends to expose and destroy false truths and false gods—in essence producing a climatic opening and a parting of the waters; sort of removing the wheat from the chaff.

The current 2010 90° synodic square (December 2, 2010), stimulating action upon this synodic theme, occurs with Pluto now conjoining the stars forming the bow of the Zen Archer: Kaus Borealis, Kaus Media, and Kaus Australis; as well as Alpha Telescopium; and Eta Serpentis.

The Zen Archer’s arrow points toward Galactic Cente—the Heart of our Galaxy—and brings the ability to hold undaunted focus upon the goal in the higher spiritual interest of the soul. Al Nasl, the tip of the arrow conjoing the "Gate of God" of Earth's precessional Cross, brings one the ability to pierce the veils of illusion, and hit the mark of their highest ideals and dreams.

The Bow of the Archer brings attention to our "Zen stance" in the world, and to the undaunted stability and power driving the Zen Archer's arrow—how to hit the target of our ideals, aspirations and dreams, which is an all or nothing deal. Athletes know the principle of the Zen archer's bow well. Only if the archer is firmly grounded and holding the bow as if it is an integrated part of the body, and with undaunted focus, will the arrow hit the target. Here there is no separation between on body awareness and our environmental awareness—merged as one consciousness—expressed from the core of our being.

Telescopium, underlying the centaur, reveals an additional facet of the Sagittarian theme, of having a Zen stance, and the stability and strength of the Zen Archer's bow. Telescopium articulates our long-range soul purpose seen with penetrating vision, which is common to the Zen Archer's approach in life. Alpha Telescopium suggests that we look past or through the distractions around us to focus in upon only the target of our highest ideals and dreams.

Jupiter, 90 degrees further along in the ecliptic, resides just past and conjoining Uranus and the Vernal Point of Earth's Precessional Cross, in early sidereal Pisces. Jupiter lies in the western fish of Pisces; under the auspices of the Great Square of Pegasus; and significantly conjoins the stars of Lacerta the Lizard. This area of the zodiak embodies a very primordial, palpable and emotional energetic. Jupiter's stimulus to action, in general, is to mobilize and expand upon the opening Pluto creates, and upon the original synodic Sagittarian theme—stimulating vast and sweeping action to move into a far greater unified truth of being, with undaunted focus of conviction, and in a very palpable and passionate way—and with empathic awareness for all of humanity. This is about actively infusing through demonstrable action the high-spiritual truths, principles, undaunted focus and long-term vision of the Zen Archer into our primal carnal corporeal selves and into mass consciousness.

Lacerta Star Chart

Lacerta embodies the pure unadulterated reptilian essence—primordial self—the Akka guardians of Mu. The Lacerta mediate between the benevolent loving intent and tenderness of who Abraham Merrit (The Moon Pool. Liveright Publishing Corp., New York, 1919) calls the "Silent Ones" who emanate "Holiness," they who have full understanding, mastery and experiential knowledge of primordial and elemental forces which mold consciousness itself into organic form; awareness that precedes even telepathy or for that matter thought itself. Merrit brings us through the entry-way to Muria, our sub-merged mother land Mu, through the ruins of Nan Madol of the Micronesian island Pohnpei to meet our inner-Earth friends. From their gaze, in Merit’s words "streamed a current of reassurance, of good will—nay, of intense spiritual strength. I saw that they were not fierce, not ruthless, nor inhuman, despite their strangeness; no they were kindly; in some unmistakable way, benign and sorrowful—so sorrowful!" Merrit continues referring to the inner-Earth Lizard beings as those who ally for the Silent Ones as "...an evolution of highly intelligent beings from ancestral sources radically removed from those through which mankind ascended. These half-human highly developed batrachians they call the Akka...." The Polynesian also refer to their ancestral origins, though as the Mo’o, again as an inter-extraterrestrial origin of high-vibrational light-being pure spiritual reptilian essence. The Lacerta are the guardians to the Primordial Origin of Earth's Precessional Cycle—the "Evolutionary Cycle of the Soul"; the keepers of the ancient wisdom regarding the primordial origins of the Earthian race.

Churchward also reveals that Pohnpei, Hawaii, Cook and Easter Island, among others, are peak Earthgrid centers, "standing today as sentinels to a silent grave" of now submerged Mu, the Motherland—which is most directly related in essence to the Polar Origin Point—fitting to our Solar Eclipse Easter Island path of totality.

The Chinese appropriately combined the stars of Lacerta with the early portion of Cygnus as their "Flying Serpent" (or I would suggest, more appropriately, the "Flying Dragon") again representing the pure unadulterated essence of the Dragon—the Chinese seem to have an understanding of the Dragon energy as a quality of pure unadulterated reptilian consciousness, seemingly lost to most other cultures.

Lacerta the Lizard, a sub-order, along with Serpentis, belongs to the order Squamata of the class Reptilia. On Earth’s surface, lizards can range in size from the tiny Geckos of a couple inches to the giant monitors of Komodo Island (the Dragon Lizard), which can be 10 ft. in length. Iguanas (also called the "Chinese Dragon") of the American tropics, can reach 6 ft. in length. In Hawaii, the spiritual significance of the Gecko is honored: Their presence in one’s home is certainly welcomed an appreciated. The tiny Gecko’s chirp is often taken as an affirmation of significance. The Gecko is one of the seven infraorders of Lacerta. The seven infraorders is one indicator of the various genetics streams through which consciousness expresses on Earth.

Now in Earth's ~25,000-year precessional cycle, the vernal point resides at ~5° sidereal Pisces, creating the erect Precessional Cross. Thus the vernal point aligns in ecliptical longitude with our Primordial Origin. This reveals our need (the human race) to embrace our humanness, our primal essence, to have respect for the origins of life, and to amalgamate our true primordial nature with the wisdom gained throughout our entire sojourn on Earth—to fully infuse our spiritual soul awareness into the depths of our primal origins—to illumine the very genetic vessel through which soul expresses—to become one unified spiritually awakened spiral of light—which the Great Square of Pegasus reveals. The vernal point's placement here also reveals our need to realize the importance of water and all of life's fluids—as water is the sacred sex of life, and it reveals our need to embrace the integral and entwined roles of the masculine and feminine.

Mobilization of Change
The Earth-Jupiter-Uranus "Synodic Synchronization"
September 19-21 2010 - A new 13.5 year cycle begins

The Sun, Earth, Jupiter and Uranus align on September 19-21, 2010. Not only does Earth begin its new annual synodic cycles with Jupiter and Uranus, but Jupiter and Uranus also begin their new 13.5-year synodic cycle in early sidereal Pisces. This new cycle continues through March 13, 2024. The previous Jupiter-Uranus cycle began in March 28, 1997 in sidereal Capricorn (~10°)—the cycle we are now completing.

Excerpt from the September 8, 2010 Lunar Planner

The Equinox Full Moon - September 21-23, 2010
Vision, Enthusiasm, & Realization of the Theme
The Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization
& The Second Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction

The Full Moon marks the culmination point in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement and celebration. The hours leading up to the Full Moon provide a time of "vision and enthusiasm." The time just after Full Moon is a one of "realization of the lunar month's theme," a time to kick back and relax, to allow our realizations to surface in consciousness. This day of realization will be extra significant as we not only have realization about the Lunar theme, but also about the emergence of the new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle.

Several events coalesce and produce a significant shift in our current timeline of planetary cycles. These events occur over a few days leading into the Full Moon:

• On September 18, just before the Gibbous Moon, Jupiter and Uranus conjoin.
• On September 21, the Earth-Jupiter synod occurs (the Sun-Earth-Jupiter alignment).
• The Earth-Uranus synod occurs (the Sun-Earth-Uranus alignment).
• The equinox occurs on September 22-23.
• The Moon conjoins Jupiter and Uranus on September 22-23.
• The Full Moon occurs on September 23, exactly on the Vernal Point of Earth's Precessional Cross (with the Moon slightly past Jupiter and Uranus).
• Just after Full Moon, the Sun-Jupiter-Uranus alignment occurs, which creates the Jupiter-Uranus synod.

The coincidence of the three synods subsequently changes the tone and nature of the expression and evolutionary unfoldment of human consciousness. The primary event is the Jupiter-Uranus synod, which marks the completion of the previous Jupiter-Uranus 13.5-year cycle and the start of a new 13.5-year cycle. This new cycle will fully engage when we arrive to the third and final Jupiter-Uranus (geocentric) conjunction, which occurs in early January of 2011, also opposite the Dwarf Planet Makemake. Our new 13.5 synodic cycle will continue through March 13, 2024.

2010 Graphic Ephemeris of Jupiter Uranus Saturn Pluto & Makemake

Earth's alignment with Jupiter and Uranus marks the start of a new Earth-Jupiter 400-day synodic cycle and the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle. Since all of these events, including the Full Moon, create one compounded planetary alignment, the theme for all of them is one and the same, thus, this theme begins to express in a compounded and dominant way in our lives. This is the main reason this is such a significant event.

In general, a Jupiter and Uranus synthesis can express in a variety of ways. The resonances of expansive and mobilizing Jupiter and those of forward-orientated Uranus synthesize quite well and produce a fulfilling and beneficent outcome. They stimulate optimism and faith in the future and opportunity for development and expansion. Jupiter tends to magnify that which it aligns with. Thus Jupiter will mobilize and expand upon the radical changes already occurring in our lives initiated by the Uranus opposition to Saturn-Makemake, which began in late 2008 (discussed above)—except now in more beneficent way. Jupiter and Uranus are supportive of new discoveries and ideas, especially in technology. They are also supportive of expansive awareness and embracing new realms of consciousness.

Jupiter-Uranus synods are spaced about 54° in the ecliptic. Thus, this new 13.5-year synodic cycle occurring in early sidereal Pisces and conjoining the Precessional Cross, has a dramatically different theme than the previous cycle. The previous Jupiter-Uranus cycle began in March 28, 1997 in sidereal Capricorn (~10°)—the cycle we are now completing. The theme of the previous 13.8-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle was defined by Algedi and Dabih of Capricorn; Theta Indus; Theta Aquila; Alpha Microscopium; and Gamma Sagitta. Its theme was more about global strategies and tools of war, of covert operations, secretive places, and actions driven from personal motive. The theme of this previous cycle was presented in more detail at the time of first (geocentric) Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, in the May 14, 2010 Lunar Planner.

The star alignments of our new Earth-Jupiter-Uranus synod, occurring in early sidereal Pisces, set the theme of these three new synchronized synodic cycles. Since this also occurs on and conjoins the Full Moon, events, revelations and insights occurring on the Full Moon may bring insight into the nature of the cycles ahead.

The Sculptor Galaxy NGC 253

The Sculptor Galaxy NGC 253 is the brightest member of the Sculptor group of galaxies, which resides around the South Galactic Pole (thus sometimes called the "South Polar Group"). The Sculptor group of galaxies is perhaps the nearest to our Local Group of galaxies, to which the Milky Way belongs. NGC 253 is also one of the brightest galaxies beyond our Local Group, lying about 2° from the South Galactic Pole.
"This spectacular image of the Sculptor Galaxy (NGC 253) has been taken with the ESO VISTA telescope at the Paranal Observatory in Chile as part of one of its first major observational campaigns. By observing in infrared light VISTA’s view is less affected by dust and reveals a myriad of cooler stars as well as a prominent bar of stars across the central region. The VISTA image provides much new information on the history and development of the galaxy." ESO press release.

The primary conjoining stars for the Jupiter-Uranus synod (~3° Pisces) are Lambda and Iota of the Piscean Circlet of stars; Gamma Phoenix; and Scheat of Pegasus. Also conjoining is the Vernal Point of Earth's Precessional Cross, and with the Full Moon conjoining the vernal point (~5° Pisces), this entire compounded event produces a primary activation of Earth's greater precessional cycle, reaching into the depths of the evolutionary cycle of the soul collective on Earth; and is synchronized with the major transition now occurring in Earth's precessional cycle. This is also the location of the South Galactic Pole in Sculptor and the Sculptor Galaxy NGC253.

Pisces is the constellation of the two fishes. The western fish swims west, horizontally along the ecliptic plane, with its head marking the cusp of sidereal Pisces, marked by the "Circlet" of stars. The western fish articulates our primordial (and sleeping) nature, and our unconscious participation in the cycle of mortal life. The eastern fish leaps upward, vertically from the ecliptic plane, seeking freedom at the shores of sidereal Aries. The eastern fish articulates our desire to ascend from our primordial origins, and our capacity to awaken from submersion in the tumultuous psychic emotional human world articulated by southern Cetus. The tails of the two fishes are tied together, at the knot (Katain or Alrisha) suggesting an emergence from one source or mother (considered the Ostracoderm in creation myth). Pisces is a dual sign however, sometimes expressing as an emotional tug-of-war within self or between two parties; i.e. Alrisha, the Alpha star of Pisces, tied on the shores of Aries (in early sidereal Aries), can express as a bond of strength but also as mutual dependency in entrapment. Hence the dual nature of the fishes can either articulate a tormenting emotional struggle where one holds the other in a prolonged state of turmoil, or where the underlying bond is one of mutual support while navigating through the thrashing waters of life. As always the choice is ours.

Either way, Pisces is home to our primordial origins. Overhead lies the most northern point along the galactic plane (entering the ecliptic at 5° sidereal Pisces). When Earth's north celestial pole (NCP) resides at this location in Earth's ~25,000-year precessional cycle, Earth's pole is most parallel to the galactic plane. Thus the pole of the Earth lies at rest, embued, unified, in the plane of galactic light. This is also when Earth's vernal axis in the ecliptic lies exactly upon the galactic equatorial axis—with the vernal point residing on the Gate of God (5° Sag) and the anti-vernal point residing on the Gate of Man (5° sidereal Gemini)—the time when the cycle of the Precessional Cross is at its zero point—when the two cross members are as one. As Earth's precessional cycle ensues, Earth's pole lifts from its slumber in the plane of galactic light and begins to awaken as it makes it precessional round. At this time, the cycle of Earth's Precessional Cross begins—as well as the "evolutionary cycle of the soul." It is for these reasons that I suggest that this marks the beginning or zero-point of Earth's precessional "Great Year"; and this, in part, is why I dub the most north point along the galactic plane as our "Primordial Origin."

The Great Square of Pegasus, and its mysteries, lies just north of Pisces; and the star Scheat of the Pegasus Great Square resides exactly at 5° sidereal Pisces, marking this primordial point as well. Lacerta (the lizard) lies further north and is gate-keeper to the Primordial Origin. South of this point is the South Galactic Pole (SGP); i.e., galactic / soul foundation, it lies very close to Alpha Sculptoris, which also conjoins. Although a recent addition to stellar mythical imagery, aptly Sculptor is from the Latin sculpere, meaning to cut (sculpt)—in this case, to sculpt life itself. (See Earth's Precessional Cycle and the Precessional Cross movies for more about Earth's Precessional Cycle and the Primordial Origin.)

Lying north of the circlet and marking the Piscean cusp is the star Matar, on the left forearm of Pegasus, which marks the emotional gush point in the zodiak. Matar is from Al Sa‘d al Matar, which means "the Fortunate Rain," which articulates movement from high-mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius into the wet, sensual, emotional, psychic and amorphous world of sidereal Pisces.

This Pisces synodic theme is more about the masses, the emotional, the palpable, water, our origins and our commonality. It is about reuniting infusing our spiritual with our primordial origins. It also brings special emphasis to water and all related water issues. Jupiter is at home in Pisces, thus strengthened in its mobilizing and expansive role.

Scheat of Pegasus is the most significant and revelatory star of our Full Moon and Earth-Jupiter-Uranus synod. The principles and qualities embodied in each of the four stars of the Great Square of Pegasus reveal the requirements for our psycho-physiological preparation to become free from the bounds limiting us from participating in a more fulfilling and purposeful expression in the world. This "refinement of self" allows us to rise above the bounds of the psychic-emotional entrapments common to collective human consciousness in accomplishment of soul's greater mission. These four stars have long been associated with the feet of a table or stand, thus a supporting foundation or stage upon which something else transpires, is supported, or rises from.

Scheat reveals the essence of sidereal Pisces, and brings attention to the waters of life and to the purity of our body fluids, especially the "lymph," which means Flowing Spirit of the Living Water of Life. Scheat pertains to all waters of the world, but also to body fluids, especially water's relationship to the purification of the physical vehicle and the body's requirement for refined life force energies to express through the fluids molecular matrix. Alignments with Scheat ask us to consider what we are doing with our primordial life force, how we are using our Chi / Xi, our primal energy. Scheat also asks us to integrate our primordial essence with the spiritual essence—to realize they are one flowing life-giving force.

The Jupiter-Uranus synod exactly conjoins the Dwarf Planet Haumea's perihelion, creating a cross-resonance with Haumea. The Dwarf Planet Haumea was recently discovered on Dec 28, 2004. Although newly discovered, it seems Haumea facilitates a new birth in consciousness—a nice synchronicity for our new 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus cycle. More about Haumea.

The September 9, 2010 lunar cycle (Mizar), and the few to follow, may stimulate expansive, radical, and perhaps spontaneous change. It should shift the emphasis from what has been a challenging and strenuous time to one of refreshing wide-sweeping movement and expansion.

Interestingly the location of the September New Moon is also the location of the Uranus-Pluto synod that occurred in the mid-1960s—metioned below.

Emergence 2011
The Final Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction (Jan 4, 2011)

Excerpt from the January 4, 2011 Lunar Planner

Jupiter and Uranus make their final conjunction on the Partial Eclipse New Moon occurring in sidereal Sagittarius, adding to the theme of this lunar cycle. Jupiter produces a mobilizing and expansive force. It stimulates fluidity in movement, vitality and enthusiasm; and is of reciprocity—how we express our gifts to the world. Jupiter expresses in openness and willingness to touch, palpate and embrace life, people and experience. It imparts a kinesthetic and magnetic quality; and motivates us to aspire for something larger in our lives, beyond our current bounds. More about Jupiter, Jupiter Cycles, Jupiter Mandalas, and Jupiter's Moons.

Uranus, in its clear and evolved expression, brings the ability to spontaneously change and to create new frontiers in experience and consciousness. It is the true pioneer, uninhibited by convention and establishment (Saturn). Uranus inspires the expression of our unique individuality in radical confidence. Uranus instills a future-orientation and humanitarian focus; and embodies quickness and alertness of consciousness often producing a lightning-like creative mind when prominently aspected. Uranus provides an ability to work with higher orders and principles—providing a higher-mind prowess for telepathy and all super-consciousness functions and mechanisms. Uranus instills an appreciation of excellence and perfection. It is the applier of the higher sciences and inspires new discoveries in technology and consciousness.

The synthesis of Jupiter and Uranus, in general, produces a quickening and expansion of radical or unexpected change—generally in a beneficent way, one that mobilizes movement into the future. It produces expansive forward thinking, impetus to move and to travel—inspiring us to spread our wings and fly. It inspires new possibilities and alternative solutions; and movement into new and vast realms of consciousness.

Jupiter and Uranus began their (geocentric) conjunction in June of 2010. During that time and now, on the September 23, 2010 Full Moon, a new Jupiter-Uranus 13.5-year synodic cycle began. This final conjunction occurring now (January 2011) marks the full engagement of that new synodic cycle, which will continue into 2024. The theme of this new cycle is defined by the stars of the wet, sensual, emotional, psychic and amorphous world of sidereal Pisces.

This area of Pisces is about the emotional and psychic world, that which is emotionally palpable, our origins and our commonality. It is about reuniting our spiritual nature with our primordial origins. It also brings special emphasis to water and all related water issues. It is about how we are using our life force and all fluids in life; the refinement of self, and rising above the psychic-emotional entrapments common to collective human consciousness. Jupiter is at home in Pisces, thus strengthened in its mobilizing and expansive role.

The Jupiter-Uranus synthesis in this area of Pisces can stimulate our desire for greater emotional freedom; to break free from any limiting psychic bounds we may have placed upon ourselves. It can produce the impetus for radical inner transformation, to make changes in our lives from the inside out. The years ahead may also result in new discoveries and technologies associated with water and the more psychic or etheric realms of life; including extrasensory processes such as telepathy, etheric energy healing, etc. The Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle was presented in the September 8, 2010 Lunar Planner.

Jupiter and Uranus will also make their final oppositions to recently discovered Makemake in this lunar cycle. The exact Jupiter-Makemake opposition occurs just after the crescent Moon and the exact Uranus-Makemake opposition occurs just after the Disseminating Moon. This completes the long standing Uranus-Makemake opposition that began in late 2008 and associated longer-term planetary aspects—all presented above.

The Uranus-Makemake opposition began in 2008 with Makemake in the last few degrees of sidereal Leo—a theme of diversionary smokescreens and coverups inherent to world powers, big business, etc. Since then, Makemake has moved across the Leo-Virgo cusp into the first few degrees of sidereal Virgo. It is now beginning to move out from under the auspices of Benatnash and Zavijava (totalitarian powers and their blind followers) into purer and more integrous energies that begin to express in Virgo. The fraud and manipulation exposures in the global financial arena (forced bank takeovers, closures, housing loans, etc.) over the last few years may have well been due to the long-standing Uranus-Makemake opposition. If Makemake influences the administration and administrators of resources, as I suggest may be the case based on initial explorations of Makemake and as presented in the The 2008-2011 Timeline, we may now begin to see the results of this exposure in the form of rightful change of such administrative forces as we move into 2011. More about Makemake.

The Uranus-Pluto 90° Square 2012-2015

Uranus and Pluto will make their 90° synodic square on November 30, 2013; with their lengthy geocentric square occurring from June 24, 2012 through March 16, 2015. This is a 90° square (external stimulus to action) in the ~138-year Uranus-Pluto synodic cycle that began on January 11, 1966. This synod coincided with the mid-point of the Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle that began on August 22, 1947—creating a compounded synodic alignment (Saturn-Sun-Uranus-Pluto). Now, 47 years later, the first square occurs.

The January 1966 compounded synod (Uranus-Pluto and the Saturn-Pluto mid-point) occurred at the peak of the Vietnam War; with Uranus and Pluto nesting in the hind of the Loin, between toxic Zosma and Denebola, the tail of the Lion, and conjoining fiery Mizar of Ursa Major. This was the time of the Vietnam War and the exact time of the emergence of the Flower Power Political Movement; also Pop Music. Also see: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020.

In general, the revolutionary uprising and spontaneous force of Uranus synthesized with Pluto's intensified, disrupting, dismantling and opening force in the very depths of consciousness can produce an intense cultural rebellion that motivates a profound and radical transformation in collective consciousness.

• January 1966 - 190,000 U.S. troops in Vietnam
• January 1966 - The Uranus-Pluto Synod

I will write a more in-depth article about the 1966 Uranus-Pluto synodic cycle and the upcoming Uranus-Pluto square when the square approaches. Our dynamic 2008-2011 planetary timeline feeds into the 2012-2015 Uranus-Pluto square—our next MAJOR planetary configuaration. Added: The Uranus-Pluto 2012-2015 article.
